• Visual Studio not recognizing "BuildStep"

  I'm trying to add an automatic post-build trigger to run NDepend after an automated team build in TFS 2010. NDepend's website provided code for integrating this capability, and so I have pasted their code into my .csproj file where they said for it to go, but I receive errors on the build. The errors refer to two of the three "BuildStep" tags I have in the code snippet. • Factory(:user) hits database?

  Playing around with factories, which I read weren't supposed to hit the database, allowing you to avoid having your controller specs interacting with the DB. But when I fire up the Rails console in test and use a factory to create a sample user, I noticed an actual user gets created in the database. Huh? (Using Rails 2.3.8 and Factory Girl 1.2.3.)

• Different values for Time.now when using activerecord

  I have this weird situation: When I do on rails console Time.now or Time.zone.now I get the same values (suppose they run at the sime time: 2014-06-05 23:38:06 -0300) But when I use Time.now in a query like: Match.where("datetime = ?", Time.now) it returns the time 3 hours ahead! .to_sql output: SELECT `matches`.* FROM `matches` WHERE (datetime = '2014-06-06 02:38:06') any thoughts on that?   Using C# and WPF under .net (rather than WindowsForms or console), what is the correct way to create an application that can only be run as a single instance? I know it has something to do with some mythical thing called a mutex, rarely can I find someone that bothers to stop and explain what one of these are. The code needs to also inform the already running instance that the user tried to start a second one, and maybe also pass any command line arguments if any existed.

I can loop through the element5 and get all the attribute2 info using but I can't figure out how to get the parent or child attributes I need. UPDATE: Thanks for the feeback thus far. For clarity, I need to do a loop through attribute5. So basically, what I have right now (which isn't much) is . . . • Why is "int + string" possible in statically-typed C# but not in dynamically-typed Python?

  While studying C# I found it really strange, that dynamically typed Python will rise an error in the following code: i = 5 print i + " " whereas statically typed C# will normally proceed the similar code: int i = 5; Console.Write(i + " "); I would expect other way around (in python I would be able to do this without any casting, but C# would require me to cast int to string or string to int). Just to highlight, I am not asking what language is better, I am curious what was the reason behind implementing the language this way.

• JSON image viewer not working in firefox

  I have tried to find out why JSON is not working in Firefox all over this forum and the internet. It works on tablets, ie, safari. It works on my desktop in firefox. It only does not work after uploading I've tried a few things (commented out), such as mimeType with no solution. I have tried using the $.ajax with no better luck. Firefox had no javascript errors. I'm using jQuery 1.7. • Node.js Cron Job Messing with Date Object

  I'm trying to schedule several cron jobs to generate serial numbers for different entities within my web app. However I am running into this problem, when I'm looping each table, it says it has something to do with date.js. I'm not doing anything with a date object ? Not at this stage anyway. A couple of guesses is that the cron object is doing a date thing in its code and is referencing date.js. • Run multiple copies of an app from Visual Studio

  How can I run multiple copies of the same app in Debug with Visual Studio? For instance, how do I run app.exe /option1 and app.exe /option2 and still debug both? I know I can run them manually and then attach, but I want an automated solution. I have tried writing a small console app just to run 2 processes, but obviously they are not being run under debugger. Any ideas?
