• Alerting for incorrect cell values

  My problem: I have two ranges R16 and R01. These ranges were set up by swiping each range and then renaming them in the upper left panel of the sheet. Each range requires users to fill in each cell with a value. R16 requires users to enter a number of 0 through 5. The range R01 requires a value of 0 or 1 to be entered. NO cell can be left blank in any cell within these two ranges. These ranges and requirements are specific to this sheet only. It would be nice if at the time of user entering a number, an error message appeared like [invalid entry] if the value inputted was outside parameters set. For example, in R16, if someone entered 12 or -1 they would be alerted. Finally when the user presses a button on the page to use these values in a separate process, it is essential to check that no cell is left blank. I am trying to find a way to halt the running of the marco (via the button) if these parameters above are not met. Thank you

• NHibernate Mapping and Querying Where Tables are Related But No Foreign Key Constraint

  I'm fairly new to NHibernate, and I need to ask a couple of questions relating to a very frequent scenario. The following simplified example illustrates the problem. I have two tables named Equipment and Users. Users is a set of system administrators. Equipment is a set of machinery. Tables: Users table has UserId int and LoginName nvarchar(64). Equipment table has EquipId int, EquipType nvarchar(64), UpdatedBy int. Behavior: System administrators can make changes to Equipment, and when they do, the UpdatedBy field of Equipment is "normally" set to their User Id. Users can be deleted at any time. New Equipment items have an UpdatedBy value of null. There's no foreign key constraint on Equipment.UpdatedBy which means: Equipment.UpdatedBy can be null. Equipment.UpdatedBy value can be = existing User.UserId value Equipment.UpdatedBy value can be = non-existent User.UserId value To find Equipment and who last updated the Equipment, I might query like this: select E.EquipId, E.EquipName, U.UserId, U.LoginName from Equipment E left outer join Users U on. E.UpdatedBy = U.UserId Simple enough. So how to do that in NHibernate? If I can tell NHibernate to do the query in one hit, how do I do that? Time is of the essence on my project, so any help you could provide is gratefully received. • Can't find solution for CSS vertical align for Firefox

  I have a problem with DIV vertical align in Firefox The HTML code is: <div class="mess"><div class="rpl"><img src="img/16.png" width="16" height="16" border="0"></div><div class="pic"><img src="img/1.png" width="100" height="100" border="0"></div></div> The CSS looks like: .mess{ float:left; width:658px; border-top:1px solid #CCC;padding-top:5px; } .rpl{ position: relative;width:19px; float:left;top: 20%;display: table-cell; vertical- align: middle; padding-top:20px; } .pic{width:100px; float:left; padding-bottom:5px;margin-right:10px; } I'm trying to put "rpl" DIV at the vertical middle of the "mess" DIV. In IE it looks fine but I can't get it right in Firefox (always at the top of the "mess" div) I tried with display: inline,display: table-cell for "rpl" DIV but with no effect in FF. Is there any solution for vertical align for DIV in FF?

The question is: Is is possible to make a separation of these characters (to actually know that I only hit one key or key combination). What I would like is to have a function to return a single integer value for any type of input (letter, digit, F1-F12, DEl, PGUP, PGDOWN, CTRL+A, CTRL+ALT+A, ALT+LEFT, etc). Is this possible? • IE8 CSS Table Effect

  I've been trying to make this cross browser (specifically IE), but I do not want to use tables. I will not be able to specify the container width with CSS because its contents (the image) will dynamically change with Javascript, so I need the container to 'auto-size' horizontally. The desired effect would be a centered image with two sets of text (one of the left and one of the left) directly underneath the image, aligned to it's inner edges. • Fixed div background

  I want to create a layout where I want to display an image to the left and content on the right. The image should stay constant when the content scrolls. My question is how do I go about creating that kind of layout? I do not want to give that image as a background image, as if the window is resized, it might get hidden. I want scrollbars to appear if the window size is less than 900px( my page width) so that the image can be viewed at all times. That happens with this code, however I would like the image to start at my element instead. How do I go about doing this?? Thanks in Advance :)

  I am unable to compile my code when using a CStdioFile type. I have included the afx.h header file but I am still receiving errors. What I am trying to do is write a cstring that contains an entire xml document to file. This cstring contains comments inside of it, but when I use other objects such as wofstream to write it to file, these comments are striped out for some reason. So that is why I am trying to write this to file using CStdioFile now. • latex padding / margin hell

  hi everyone I have been wrestling with a latex table for far too long. I need a table that has has centered headers, and body cells that contain text that may wrap around. Because of the wrap-around requirement, i'm using p{xxx} instead of l for specifying cell widths. The problem this causes is that cell contents are not left justified, so the look like spaced-out junk. To fix this problem I'm using \flushleft for each cell. This does left justify contents, but puts in a ton of white space above and below the contents of the cell. • How can I set the size of the gap between inline elements in CSS?

  I am creating an MVC 1.0 form to use in multiple views. I have some elements that need to be shown on the same line, and I have done this by setting the display to "display: inline" for the style. I have also added the margin-left setting to the CSS in order to force the gap between the inline elements but this doesn't appear to be being set.   I am very new to JavaScript and only have the most basic understanding of how it works, so please bear with me. :) I'm using the jquery.innerfade.js script to create a slideshow with fade transitions for a website I'm developing, and I have added navigation buttons (which are set as background-images) that navigate between the “slides”. The navigation buttons have three states: default/off, hover, and on (each state is a separate image). I created a separate JavaScript document to set the buttons to “on” when they are clicked. The “hover” state is achieved through the CSS. Both the slideshow and the navigation buttons work well. There is just one thing I want to add: I would like the appropriate navigation button to display as “on” while the related “slide” is “playing”. • Backreferences syntax in replacement strings (why dollar sign?)

  In Java, and it seems in a few other languages, backreferences in the pattern is preceded by a slash (e.g. \1, \2, \3, etc), but in a replacement string it's preceded by a dollar sign (e.g. $1, $2, $3, and also $0). • JQuery - Make my script work?

  Hi, I have written a script. It does work! It's just a bit rubbish. Could someone tell me where I am going wrong. Basically, I have a 5 star rating box. When the mouse hovers over the various parts of the box I need the stars to change. Currently the stars only change when you move your mouse over and out of the element. I need the stars to change while the mouses within the element. • Firefox/vista not showing div tag

  Hi, I have a div tag which should be displayed at the bottom of a page given a set of circumstances. On my machine XP/IE, chrome, firefox, opera (all latest versions) the div shows up fine. But on my bosses machine, running vista with Firefox 3.6 for some reason the div tag is not showing up. However, if i go to another machine with vista and firefox the div tag shows up fine. My question is, what could have been set in firefox that would cause this div tag to now be displayed. • Width of li with two floats different in IE, correct in FF

  I've worked out most of the kinks with my "lava-lamp" effect that I'm trying to create. Basically I want two curly braces (both are images) to wrap a list-item, then follow over to the next list-item. I always build in FF, then make exceptions for IE. I can't figure out what exception I need to make! I'm using an absolutely positioned li that contains two div's. The first div is floated left, the second is floated right. The width of the li is set to the width of the li it supposed to be wrapping. Thus creating the effect of the braces on the left and right sides of the text. It works beautifully in Firefox, but IE has two issues: The bottoms of the images are cut off. Sometimes they reappear when the animation ends, sometimes they don't. I assume this has to do with height, but no matter what I set the height to, it fails! The width is completely wrong. Here's a live example of it: http://jsbin.com/odome/2 The left position in IE is always 5-7px more than in FF, but that's a small difference. • Why does a non-dynamically created iframe shim show, but a dynamically created one does not?

  I have a custom control that is made up of a text field and the ajax control toolkit dateextender. In IE6 I'm hitting the z-index bug where the calendar is showing behind select boxes. If I have the shim sitting in the control, initially hidden, it seems to display fine when the calendar is shown, but when I try to dynamically create the shim on showing it doesn't appear. I've tried bgiframe and some examples I found on SO, no luck. • Can't get focus on a TextBox inside a ListBox using Silverlight

  I'm having a little trouble in silverlight with a listBox containing databound textBox elements. The items display correctly in the list and the textBox is populated correctly but I can't get focus on the text box in the list. If I hover over the edges of the textBox it highlights but it won't let me click into it to edit the text. Any ideas? • SparkDataContainer Scroller not scrolling to bottom of container

  I am using a scroller component within a custom skin for a SkinnableDataContainer. I am running into an issue in that the thumbbar of the scroller stops at about the 50% point, however this is actually the end of the scrollable area. In actuality, the thumbbar should be at the bottom of the scroll track.
