I would like to use a ANS 1994 compatible version (if reasonable, but sticking to the standard might be good) small and compact implementation, I don't want a full OS.   Been using the new SQL 2012 Data Tools SQL Server Database Project in VS 2010. Every time we do a schema compare we have to set the options for the current compare. This does not seem to be tied back to the global compare options you can set in Tools Options. Does anybody know where to set the 'new' global compare options. NOTE: This is the new SQL 2012 compare from Data Tools, and not the old 2005/2008 compare that comes standard with Studio 2010.

  What's the easiest way of doing simple pattern matching a la .something.com something.com/ something.com/somefolder/*.jpg in the iPhone SDK? At this point it looks like I'm going to have to use a regular expression library of some sort, which is really overkill when all I need is simple wildcard matching. None of the standard NSString methods seem to be available on the iPhone.

  The company I work for provides testing services for the healthcare industry. As part of our services, we need to send email to our clients' employees. Typically, these are temp, part-time, or contract employees, and so have private email addresses (eg Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo!, etc). Up to now, we've been sending from an internal address, but this means that replies come back to us when employees aren't paying attention or don't know to send queries to our clients. I'd like to change this, so that the person who requests that the email is sent is the person that is replied to. We've used reply-to: in the past, but it seemed to cause additional mail to be trapped by spam filters. I've been reading about sender: and on-behalf-of: headers, and was wondering what the current best-practice was for sending email in a scenario where we need to send email such that the reply goes to a domain we don't control.

  I'm working on a Scheme interpreter written in C. Currently it uses the C runtime stack as its own stack, which is presenting a minor problem with implementing continuations. My current solution is manual copying of the C stack to the heap then copying it back when needed. Aside from not being standard C, this solution is hardly ideal. What is the simplest way to implement continuations for Scheme in C?

  I'm using MS VC 2008 and for some projects Intel C++ compiler 11.0. Is it worth using tr1 features in production? Will they stay in new standard? For example, now I use stdext::hash_map. TR1 defines std::tr1::unordered_map. But in MS implementation unordered_map is just theirs stdext::hash_map, templatized in another way.

  I need help working with very big numbers. According to Windows calc, the exponent 174^55 = 1.6990597648061509725749329578093e+123. How would I store this using C (c99 standard). int main(){ long long int x = 174^55; //result is 153 printf("%lld\n", x); } For those curious, it is for a school project where we are implementing the RSA cryptographic algorithm, which deals with exponentiating large numbers with large powers for encryption/decryption.
