  i have a lang table which is as a foreign key in the link table , The link can be in 3 languages meaning there will be 3 rows in the link table everytime i enter the record. i am using jquery tabs to enter the records in 3 languages . ok so what architecture i should follow for validation with datannotation attributes. i am using link to sql with 2010 vs. i will be creating link class with MetadataType so how will i handle for eg link name attribute 3 times.

• JUnit 4 test suite problems

  Hi, i have a problem with some JUnit 4 tests that i run with a test suite. If i run the tests individually they work with no problems but when run in a suite most of them, 90% of the test methods, fail with errors. What i noticed is that always the first tests works fine but the rest are failing. Another thing is that a few of the tests the methods are not executed in the right order (the reflection does not work as aspected - or it does because the retrieval of the methods is not necessarily in the created order). This usually happens if there is more than one test with methods that have the same name. I tried to debug some of the tests and it seems that from a line to the next the value of some attributes gets null. Does anyone know what is the problem, or if the behavior is "normal"?   Say I have this html: <a href="http://example.com">Test</a> I parse it using dom document with this code: $dom = new DomDocument(); @$dom->loadHTML($html); $urls = $dom->getElementsByTagName('a'); And then I run this code: foreach ($urls as $url) { //echo "<br> {$url->getAttribute('href')} , {$url->getAttribute('title')}"; foreach ($url->attributes as $a) { echo "<br>$a->name is $a->value"; } echo "<hr><br>"; } When I do this, I only see 'href' as an attribute of the url, there's no way to get the 'anchor text' (in the above case 'Test'). How can I get the anchor text of the link?

  I using the FileWatcher Class to locate changes on Files in a specific Folder. I managed to detect Changes on Files but not detailed Information. On the WatcherChangeTypes Enumeration Page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/t6xf43e0%28v=VS.100%29.aspx they write the Change Type detects the changes include: changes to size, attributes, security settings, last write, and last access time. Is there a way to detect which kind of change happened?   Hi, I am trying to write an SQL query to update some of the attributes that are regularly pulled from source. the output will be a text file with the following fields: author, title, date, popularity I have two tables to update one is the author information and the other is popularity table. And the Author Active Record object has one popularity. Currently I'm doing it like this.\ arr.each { |x| x = x.split(" ") results = Author.find_by_sql("SELECT authors.id FROM authors, priorities WHERE authors.id=popularity.authors_id AND authors.author = x[0]") results[0].popularity.update_attribute("popularity", x[3]) I need two tables because the popularity keeps changing, and I need only the top 1000 popular ones, but I still need to keep the previously popular ones also. Is there any nicer way to do this, instead of one query for every new object. Thanks.

So i have in page_load(): ImportToDB.Attributes.Add("onmouseover","javascript:OnButtonMove(" + ImportToDB.ClientID + ")"); javascript function: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> function OnButtonMove(id) { //something } </script> Everithing work fine only if button is enabled. but when i disable button, this javascript function will never fire. what i am trying to do: I have button and when is something wrong i just disable it. And when user mouseover this(disable) button, I show him DIV with a message. Can someone tell me why i cannot call this JS function while button is disabled?

  I want to match both the src and title attributes of an image tag: pattern: <img [^>]*src=["|\']([^"|\']+["|\'])|title=["|\']([^"|\']+) target: <img src="http://someurl.jpg" class="quiz_caption" title="Caption goes here!"> This pattern gives me one unwanted match, title="content", and the match I actually want which is the value between the quotes after the word 'title', i.e 'content'. So, my matches are: <img src="http://someurl.jpg http://someurl.jpg title="Caption goes here!" Caption goes here! Is there a way to avoid the third of these matches? I'm using PCRE in PHP 5.2.x

  I want to be able to apply opacity to some elements to make them invisible only if javascript is enabled. I don't want to use display:none because I want the layout to act as if they're in the DOM, so setting opacity to 0 is perfect. I want to be able to set this initial value using Javascript, using JQuery, so I don't have to mess with browser differences on the opacity (and many other) attributes. But if I set opacity to 0 like so: $(document).ready(function() { $("#header").css("opacity", 0); $("#header").animate({opacity:1}, 500); }); ...half the time it's already visible on the screen, so it appears and disappears. How do I set these css values using JQuery before they ever can render?

• A simple string array Iteration in C# .NET doesn't work

  This is a simple code that should return true or false after comparing each element in a String array with a Session Variable. The thing is that even when the string array named 'plans' gets the right attributes, inside the foreach it keeps iterating only over the first element, so if the Session Variable matches other element different than the first one in the array it never returns true... You could say the problem is right there in the foreach cicle, but I cant see it... I've done this like a hundred times and I can't understand what am I doing wrong...   I have written one gtk application but i am getting following X Windows error while running it: The program 'TestApp' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. • What is the best way to store categorical references in SQL tables?

  I'm wanting to store a wide array of categorical data in MySQL database tables. Let's say that for instance I want to to information on "widgets" and want to categorize attributes in certain ways, i.e. shape category. For instance, the widgets could be classified as: round, square, triangular, spherical, etc. Should these categories be stored within a table to reference them best from an application? Another possibility, I would imagine, would be to add a column to widgets that contained a shape column that contained a tiny int. That way my application could search shapes by that and then use a coordinating enum type that would map the shape int meanings. Which would be best? Or is there another solution that I'm not thinking of yet?

For example, the string [email protected] must be converted to <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> But email addresses in the string <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> must not be processed. I've tried something like this regexp: (?<![":])[a-zA-Z0-9._%-+]+@[a-zA-Z0-9._%-]+.[a-zA-Z]{2,6}(?!") but it doesn't work properly.

This could be done via: bitmap = Bitmap.createScaledBitmap(bitmap, newWidth, newHeight, true); xml's ImageView attributes such as android:layout_width="newWidth" android:layout_height="newHeight" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:scaleType="fitCenter" Problem Which way is better for performance? I prefer xml 'cause this is UI specific problem and I prefer to use xmls for UI definition. Also we set width/height values in dp, it means we have the same UI for different screens. Thanks!

• Making an asynchronous interface appear synchronous to mod_python users

  I have a Python-driven web interface powered by Apache 2.2 with mod_python and Python 2.4. I need to make an asynchronous process appear synchronous to users of this web interface. When users access one module on this website: An external SOAP interface will be contacted with a unique identifier and will respond with a number N The external interface will respond asynchronously by contacting a SOAP server on my machine between 1 and 10 times (the number N tells us how many responses we will receive) I need to somehow aggregate these responses and pass them to the original module which will display the information back to the user. The goal is to make the process appear synchronous to the user. What is the best way to handle this synchronization issue? Is this something Twisted would be well-suited for? I am not restricting myself to Python for the solution, though it is preferred because everything else on the server is in Python. I prefer a solution that is both scalable and will take a minimal amount of programming time (though I understand that these attributes are somewhat at odds).

  PHP has many built-in functions to validate numbers but they all expect input in computer format: 1234.56. I need to validate stuff like 1,234.56 (English) or 1.234,56 (Spanish), together with some typical attributes (accepted range, max number of decimals, etc.). I started writing my own function but I soon got lost. It's easy to read the user input into a float variable but I want to be able to detect numbers with invalid formats like 1,23456.7 or 1..25. Do you have any recommendation on the subject? (Decimal and thousand characters are known beforehand and it's okay to hard-code digit groups as three, there's no need to cover Indian number format.)

Html.Encode is not appropriate for my task because it encodes ' symbol, bypass : (that ruines object attributes declaration) and so on. I wrote static helper class that is used from View like this: alert('<%=ViewHelper.MakeJavaScriptSafe(Model.Message)%>'); I hope there is asp.net in-built function I don't know about for this task. • AppFabric serialization problem.

  I am trying cache a class instance with AppFabric but it return class instance with empty members. The reason is DataContract Attribute. My class is marked with [Serializable] and [DataContract(Name = "TestClass", Namespace = "CustomNameSpace.TestClass")] attributes. Problem solving if I mark all properties with DataMember or remove DataContract attribute. But I do not want to remove DataContract attributte because of other serialization needs (such as json or something else) Or I do not want to add DataMember attribute to other classes. (a lot of) Do you have any idea to solve that problem ? Thanks.

  I have an EditText on my layout. Below are the attributes I currently have: <EditText android:id="@+id/entryIdea" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="225sp" android:gravity="top" android:background="@android:drawable/editbox_background" android:scrollbars="vertical"/> However, I can see the scrollbar but can't scroll it with mouse/touch. I thought that it may works if I put the corresponding listener since it works on TextView. Apparently, it isn't.   I'm doing a E/R model for a project. I finished the ER model and, for me, all is okay. Maybe not perfect, but it's okay. When I gave the ER model to my teacher, he told me this: "the m:n relations MUST HAVE some properties" He said if the m:n relationship doesn't have the properties it will be wrong. In my opinion m:n doesn't need forcer attributes to the relationship, but if you have someone that can fit in it, just put there. What do you think? Who is wrong in this, me, or my teacher? NOTE: Reading again, it seems what he said was not due to my ER diagram, but was a general statement. The diagram I gave him doesn't have relations yet, so there where just entities and atributes.

  Java generates a proxy class for a given interface and provides the instance of the proxy class. But when we type cast the proxy object to our specific Object, how java handles this internally? Is this treated as special scenario? For example I have class 'OriginalClass' and it implements 'OriginalInterface', when I create proxy object by passing 'OriginalInterface' interface java created proxy class 'ProxyClass' using methods in the provided interface and provides object of this class(i.e ProxyClass). If my understanding is correct then can you please answer following queries 1) When I type cast object of ProxyClass to my class OriginalClass this works, but how java is allowing this? Same in case of instace of? 2) As my knowledge java creates a proxy class only with the methods, but what happen when I try to access attributes on this object? 3) Only interface methods are getting implemented in Proxy, but what happens when I try to access a method which not in interface and only mentioned in the class? • Struts2 plugins - Dojo or jQuery or...?

  Since Apache Struts has deprecated Dojo plugin from Struts 2.1.x I am thinking to change everything to jQuery. I especially noticed the difference in sizes (170kb vs 19kb - something like that). I had troubles with IE browser with handling dojo scripts, is this happening also with jQuery (when user is working with the application for a long time, script stops running)? I have a lot of dojo tags in my applications, and I use most of theirs attributes. Has anyone had any experience doing that? What were the problems? What were the benefits? Downsides? Does anyone has any better ideas of which plugin to include with Struts2? Any answer will be great! Thanks.
