    Hello I have a comp with 2 eth cards, connected with patch-cord (direct eth. cable from 1st to 2nd). The linux is installed, I want to send data from 1st network card to 2nd. And I want to force the packet to pass via cable. I can set up any ip on cards. With ping I get counters on cards constant. Is it possible with tcp/ip sockets? PS. I need to write a program. which will send packets via eth, so stackoverflow-related question. There can be some OS-dependent way, they will help me too

    Here is my simplified model: class Item(models.Model): pass class TrackingPoint(models.Model): item = models.ForeignKey(Item) created = models.DateField() data = models.IntegerField() In many parts of my application I need to retrieve a set of Item's and annotate each item with data field from latest TrackingPoint from each item ordered by created field. For example, instance i1 of class Item has 3 TrackingPoint's: tp1 = TrackingPoint(item=i1, created=date(2010,5,15), data=23) tp2 = TrackingPoint(item=i1, created=date(2010,5,14), data=21) tp3 = TrackingPoint(item=i1, created=date(2010,5,12), data=120) I need a query to retrieve i1 instance annotated with tp1.data field value as tp1 is the latest tracking point ordered by created field. That query should also return Item's that don't have any TrackingPoint's at all. If possible I prefer not to use QuerySet's extra method to do this. That's what I tried so far... and failed :( Item.objects.annotate(max_created=Max('trackingpoint__created'), data=Avg('trackingpoint__data')).filter(trackingpoint__created=F('max_created')) Any ideas?

  • Multiple Out-of-Browser Applications in One Application

    I'm looking at a scenario where I need to create a single "master" Silverlight application and then add "child" applications for an out-of-browser Silverlight application. The scenario is something like this. A user will visit a gameboard web site and choose a game to play. Let's call it Checkers. He likes it, so then he installs the out-of-browser app to his desktop. He then finds Chess, and installs that too. For both games, while played on the site, he has stats (games played, win/loss records, etc.). For each game on the site, he navigates to a different page. But now he wants to play offline and view his stats and other cross-games information. He wants to have a single app to launch to play either game. From his single out-of-browser app, he sees that Go is also available, and he places a checkmark against it to download on his next connection. Does anyone have any experience at developing multiple out-of-browser Silverlight apps that reside within a single master app? What considerations need to be had for this type of design? How would this work in terms of install experience from different web pages?

    The answer accepted here (JFreechart(Java) - How to draw lines that is partially dashed lines and partially solid lines?) helped me start down the path of changing my seriesstroke lines on my chart. After stepping through my code and watching the changes, I see that my seriesstroke does in fact change to "dashedStroke" when it is supposed to (after a certain date "dai"), but when the chart is rendered the entire series line is dashed.   • One template specialization for multiple classes

    Let's assume we have a template function "foo": template<class T> void foo(T arg) { ... } I can make specialization for some particular type, e.g. template<> void foo(int arg) { ... } If I wanted to use the same specialization for all builtin numeric types (int, float, double etc.) I would write those lines many times. I know that body can be thrown out to another function and just call of this is to be made in every specialization's body, however it would be nicer if i could avoid writting this "void foo(..." for every type. Is there any possibility to tell the compiler that I want to use this specialization for all this types?

  • Many RewriteBase in one .htaccess file?

    Hello I have a domain and a wordpress-blog on same server. Now I have a problem (surprise). The wordpress is located on /httpdocs/blog/ and domain is pointing to /httpdocs/ and I'm trying to redirect it to /httpdocs/domain/. But, obvisiously, I have permalinks in Wordpress. Here's my current .htaccess: RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /blog/ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /blog/index.php [L] RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} domain.com RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/domain RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/cgi-bin RewriteRule ^(.*)$ domain/$1 [L] But as you already propably assumed, this doesn't work. Wordpress' permalinks affects to /domain/ also, so my images and other urls go wrong. Any advice? Is it possible to use RewriteBase like this? Martti Laine

  • WIX: COM unregistration when removing one of two programs

    Hello, I am relatively new to WiX. It is a great tool, but I still need some time to learn it better. I have encountered a problem with registration and unregistration of a COM component. I have created installers for two applications, lets call them A and B. Both are using the same COM component. I have used the heat tool, as recommended. When installing A or B, the component is registered without any problems. But when I install A and B, then remove A (with Add/Remove programs) the COM class gets unregistered and B cannot use it anymore. Is there a clean solution to prevent this from happening? I would like to unregister the COM when BOTH A and B are uninstalled. Any help would be appreciated, Best regards, madbadger

  • HTML: Place an image on top of another one

    Inside a div, there is a picture that should have 10px margin in all directions from the DIV's border. On the left bottom corner of the picture there is an about-image. The picture is only displayed when its loaded in the DOM through jquery. The problem is that the existence of the about-image dislocates the picture downwards as many pixels as the height of the about-image. I am looking for the cleanest possible alternative to keep the picture inside the DIV and still display the about-image on top of it. Setting the picture as background will not work since i need the picture to load at once. Any improvement on the #about css would be greatly appreciated.     I created a simple news website. I store both videos and images in IMAGES table. Videos added have videos and images added have images stored in a column called ImagesType. Images and Videos attached to a news is stored in ImagesID column of the NEWS table.     Which of IDE's I'm more likely to meet in an office? Borland or Visual Studio? I wouldn't ask this question here (I could use google and type which is better) only for a reason that in my previous cariere as an engineer I worked (and most of my friends) all the time on AutoCAD not on Microstation even though Microstation had always been better software (stability, conforming to standards, ease of use etc.).     I was wondering if there was an efficient way to perform a shift right on an 8 bit binary value using only ALU Operators (NOT, OR, AND, XOR, ADD, SUB) Example: input: 00110101 output: 10011010 I have been able to implement a shift left by just adding the 8 bit binary value with itself since a shift left is equivalent to multiplying by 2. However, I can't think of a way to do this for shift right. The only method I have come up with so far is to just perform 7 left barrel shifts. Is this the only way?

    I have a problem which I don't know how to fix. It has to do with the unsorted params hash. I have a object Reservation which has a virtual time= attribute and a virtual eating_session= attribute when I set the time= I also want to validate it via an external server request. I do that with help of the method times() which makes a lookup on a other server and saves all possible times in the @times variable.   • Microsecond (or one ms) time resolution on an embedded device (Linux Kernel)

    Hey guys, I have a kernel module I've built that requires at least 1 ms time resolution. I currently use do_gettimeofday() but I'm concerned that this won't work once I move my module to an embedded device. The device has a 180 Mz processor (MIPS) and the default HZ value in the kernel is 100. Thus using jiffies will only give me at best 10 ms resolution. That won't cut it. What I'd like to know is if do_gettimeofday() is based on the timer interrupt (HZ). Can it be guaranteed to provide at least 1 ms of resolution? Thanks!

When I was doing some research on it, people say that XML parsers like DOM or StAX will have to be used. But cant I do it with the regular IOStream?   • Can't find how to import as one object or how to merge

    I need write a script in blender that creates some birds which fly around some obstacles. The problem is that I need to import a pretty large Collada model (a building) which consists of multiple objects. The import works fine, but the the building is not seen as 1 object. I need to resize and move this building, but I can only get the last object in the building (which is a camera)... Does anyone know how to merge this building in 1 object, group, variable... so I can resize and move it correctly? I would like to move the search box (.dataTables_filter) and number of records to display dropdown (.dataTables_length) from their parent element (.dataTables_wrapper) to another div on my page without losing any registered javascript behavior. I have also considered changing the CSS so that the elements are absolutely positioned - but to be frank the page is setup with fluid elements all over, and I really want these elements to be floated in their new parents. Any help with this is much appreciated.
