• Pure virtual destructor in interface

  Hello all. Here is my problem. I'm making C++ dll, which extensively relies on instance object exports. So i return my actual instances as a pointers to interface through some exported factory method. Interfaces i use are purely virtual, to avoid linking problame. So i need a pure virtual destructor too, and i implemented one (with empty body, as i googled it). All compiles perfectly well, except... I can't see, if the actual destructors are called or not - because when i added some std::cout << "hello destructor"; i never get to see it. I have some explicit "delete obj", that's not the problem. Am i missing something? Is there another way to delete my object through interface?

  Hi, I want to make a dictionary out of list in a way, that the list becomes keys and values would be empty. I have following code Dictionary<XmlTest, int?> testBattery = new XmlTests().GetRandomTestBattery(id). ToDictionary(k => k, v => null); But I am getting the error "Cannot convert lambda expression to type System.Collections.Generic.IEqualityComparer' because it is not a delegate type" Any ideas how could I fix it? (I know I could iterate through and fill the dict one element at a time, but I simply want to use something more elegant)

  I need to call another shell script testarg.sh within my main script. This script testarg.sh has arguments ARG1 ,ARG2, ARG3. I need to call up the below way ./testarg.sh -ARG1 -ARG2 -ARG3 ARG1 and ARG3 argument Variables are mandatory ones. If its not passed to the main script then i quit. ARG2 is an optional one. If the ARG2 variable is not set with value or it's not defined then i need not pass it from main script.So i need to call up the below way ./testarg.sh -ARG1 -ARG3 If the value exist for the ARG2 Varibale then i need to call the below way ./testarg.sh -ARG1 -ARG2 -ARG3 Do i need to have a if else statement for checking the ARG2 variable is empty or null. I need a query that when team B is equal to 0, (this can occur in my scenario) I get only Team A - Team B (as 0) once.

• Accessing entire netflix catalog via API v1.5

  Netflix recently updated their API methods for obtaining the full Netflix catalog. I'm curious if anyone has had any success accessing these new xml documents and downloading them via API v1.5 (9/2012). Previously, you could download the entire Netflix catalog via one API call (which I had working perfectly). Now, there are supposedly two calls to make: one for dvd's and one for streaming movies. I cannot make these calls return anything except for an empty array. Please don't offer an answer unless you have personally downloaded the entire catalog via these new API's. • How do you set a double value to a "non-value"

  I have two double data elements in an object. Sometimes they are set with a proper value and sometimes not. When the form field from which they values are received is not filled I want to set them to some value that tells me, during the rest of the code that the form fields were left empty. I can't set the values to null as that gives an error, is there some way I can make them 'Undefined'. PS. Not only am I not sure that this is possible, it might not also make sense. But if there is some best practice for such a situation I would be keen to hear it.

  I'd like to change the formatting of a date in Symfony 1.4 The default one being: <?php echo $question->getUpdatedAt(); // Returns 2010-01-26 16:23:53 ?> I'd like my date to be formatted like so: 26/01/2010 - 16h23 I tried using the format_date helper DateHelper class. Unfortunately the API is rather empty (something really needs to be done about it.) Browsing the helper's source code, I found that a second argument, format, can be passed. I assumed it was using the same syntax as PHP's date function. But here's what it outputs (same example as above): <?php sfContext::getInstance()->getConfiguration()->loadHelpers('Date'); // [...] echo format_date($question->getUpdatedAt(),'d/m/y - H\hi') // Returns 26/23/2010 - 16\4i I'm sure I'm not the first one having trouble doing this but I've been Googling around and nothing accurate showed up. • Codeigniter Form Validation - how to unset form values after success?

  I realise this request goes against the example provided in the CI documentation (which advises a separate 'success' page view), but I would like to reutilise a given form view after a form has been successfully submitted - displaying a success message then displaying a blank form. I've tried a few ways unsuccessfully to clear the validation set values (unsetting $_POST, setting rules / fields to an empty array and rerunning validatio). I could redirect to the same page, but then I'd have to set a session variable to display a success message - which is a messy approach. Any ideas how to achieve the above?

  Hi everybody. I'm trying to make a tabbed menu for the asp.net website I'm working on. One of the pre-requisite is obviously to color the current tab differently, so the user can know on which tab is currently is. As I understand, the method should be called each time the LinkButton is drawn... Does someone have an idea why? Thanks in advance !

• PHP Default Timezone issue on Fedora + Zend Server CE

  I have ZendServer CE (PHP 5.2) installed on a Fedora VM, and I have the system timezone set to 'America/Chicago'. I have date.timezone = 'UTC' in my php.ini file, and when I call date_default_timezone_get(), or display date('T') on a web page, it says 'CDT'. The documentation on php.net for date_default_timezone_get() says it follows this order when choosing a default timezone: - Reading the timezone set using the date_default_timezone_set() function (if any) - Reading the TZ environment variable (if non empty) - Reading the value of the date.timezone ini option (if set) - Querying the host operating system (if supported and allowed by the OS) If I change the system timezone through the 'setup' GUI, and reboot the server, date('T') returns whatever I changed the system timezone to, regardless of what php.ini says. I also don't have a TZ environment variable, and I am not currently using date_default_timezone_set() anywhere in my code. Any idea what might be going on? I realize I can always override the system timezone by calling date_default_timezone_set('UTC'), but I'd rather rely on the php.ini file if possible. Thanks for the help, Dave

• FastCGI C++ program and missing SCRIPT_NAME

  Hi guys, i'm studying the fastcgi developement kit because i'm writing a new scripting language and i'd like to write a fastcgi version of the interpreter to run scripts as webpages. I'm using this example from the sdk, located at /srv/http/bin/echocpp So, in my httpd.conf file, i have the following lines : FastCgiServer /srv/http/bin/echocpp -idle-timeout 120 -processes 4 ScriptAlias / /srv/http/bin/echocpp/ ... ... AddHandler fastcgi-script hy Where 'hy' is the extensions of my scripts. Then, when i try browse, for instance http://localhost/~evilsocket/prime.hy I see all the environment variables as expected from the echo-cpp.cpp programm, except for the SCRIPT_NAME that is empty. Is there something i'm missing out of this? How am i supposed to obtain the full path of the script to run it inside my fastcgi version of the interpreter? Thanks

• Validating a text box value using javascript

  Hi all, I have a textbox.The user will be entering entering a number in this box.The user should enter two digits followed by a period "." and another digit.It would look something like 22.3 or 00.5 or 01.2. If the textbox is not empty,I want to enforce a function which validates the value entered by the user(and gives them an alert if the value entered is not according to the format mentioned above) .This function needs to be triggered when the textbox loses its focus.I am not sure how to go ahead in writing this function as i am still new to this. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advance. p.s This function should be triggered each time there is a change in the value.Like suppose, the user enters a value 22, then when the textbox loses its focus,the javascript function should be triggered giving them an alert asking the user to change it to the accepted format which is 22.0.The function should be triggered again when the textbox loses its focus(after the change has been done).This time there would not be an alert since the user entered it in the right format.

  In an iPhone navigation based app, I want to add a second tableview but have its design available in IB. I've added a new empty XIB and dragged a UITableView onto it. I want to setup the layout through IB. I've created a controller for this tableview and set the File's Owner class in IB to this controller. I linked the tableview to File's Owner as well. I set the tableview to grouped in IB. However, that does not translate at runtime. I still have a plain tableview. In fact, none of the Inspector settings work at runtime. What have I missed?

• Hashbytes comparison in stored proceduring not matching record

  The password field in my user table (SQL Server 2008) is encrypted using HASHBYTES on insertion. I have a stored procedure with parameters for the username and plain-text password which does a SELECT using that username and the password sent through HASHBYTES, then returns the user record if it finds a match. The SP is always returning an empty recordset, but if I copy and paste just the SELECT from the SP to a new query window, it returns the matched record. There're no other statements in the SP. I'm missing something here; what is it?

  Our care management system uses a web service to import data. I've successfully executed one of its methods using soapUI, and now I want to replicate this with an SSIS 2008 web service task, but I'm running into a problem. I've created the "HTTP Connection Manager" successfully, and specified the location of the "WSDLFile", but when I go to the Input tab and select the Service from the dropdown (there is only one), I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error, and and the Method dropdown is empty. Any idea what this is trying to tell me?

• How do I get the username in Java (ie, who -m in Java) (or Jython 2.1)

  Here's the situation. I have a jython 2.1 script in a shared account that needs to know who is calling it. In bash, I can simply use 'who -m' and it will give me the correct username. I haven't been able to find anything in java (or jython) that would give me a similar result. Even trying to call Runtime.getRuntime().exec("who -m") doesn't do anything. When I try to read the InputStream from the process returned by exec, the stream is empty.
