  • Where can I request a new enhancement for Google Chrome?

    I have a request for enhancement for Google Chrome, but don't know where to place it. I checked http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list but it seems to be only for bugs. I use the spelling check quite often, but I need to swap between english and spanish all the time according to the website. Since chrome can detect the webpage language, it would be great to have the spell check set to that language by default.

  • creating existing users on AWS when they don't have a group

    It seems when chef creates a user with the id of "foobar" it also creates a group with the id of "foobar". AWS doesn't do that. So, when I run my create users script via Opsworks it blows up on the first user that already exists because the group doesn't. I thought there was a way to say create the user but not the group, but I can't find it. What's the best way to solve this problem? Can I: Tell chef to not create the user's group? Tell chef to create it if the user exists but the group doesn't? Write a script that finds the existing users and creates groups for them? Something else?

    I've got Chrome running on my Linux netbook, it's great and, unlike the Mac version, the 'Create Application Shortcut' option isn't greyed out. So I created one for Gmail. The 'applications' get stored at ~/.local/share/applications but I haven't managed to launch it yet. If I use Chrome in terminal $ google-chrome ~/.local/share/applications/google-application-reallylong-randomname.thing It opens the file in a new tab in Chrome and helpfully downloads it for me! Anyone got application shortcuts working in Linux?

    Hi all, I'm considering to upgrade to a Google Docs Premium Account (gDrive)? I'm wondering if that can be used as I'm using Amazon S3 at the moment. I'd like to upload images. Do you know if there is there any limit on the number of images I can upload on my 200GB Google Docs account? I think it could be really useful to have something like that and we could save some money on our webapps. Thank you ;)

    On IIS, we have disabled Anonymous authentication and enabled Windows Authentication What we need is to only allow users who are members of an Active Directory security group to access the Access Point at all. All other users should be directed to a static web page that will give them instructions on how to request access. By adding the security group to the website permissions, and removing the \Users group, we have almost achieved this. Users in the group are allowed through, those not in the group are asked for a (Windows) username and password. Instead of requesting the username and password, we want IIS to redirect them to the static page. Please advise me on how can this be done.

    We have 2 site that is linked by an IPSEC VPN to remote Cisco ASAs: Site 1 1.5Mb T1 Connection Cisco(1) 2841 Site 2 1.5Mb T1 Connection Cisco 2841 In addition: Site 1 has a 2nd WAN 3Mb bonded T1 Connection Cisco 5510 that connects to same LAN as Cisco(1) 2841. Basically, Remote Access (VPN) users connecting through Cisco ASA 5510 needs access to a service at the end of Site 2. This is due to the way the service is sold - Cisco 2841 routers are not under our management and it is setup to allow connection from local LAN VLAN 1 IP address 10.20.0.0/24. My idea is to have all traffic from Remote Users through Cisco ASA destined for Site 2 to go via the VPN between Site 1 and Site 2. The end result being all traffic that hits Site 2 has come via Site 1. I'm struggling to find a great deal of information on how this is setup. So, firstly, can anyone confirm that what I'm trying to achieve is possible? Secondly, can anyone help me to correct the configuration bellow or point me in the direction of an example of such a configuration?   • volume group disappeared after xfs_check run

    EDIT** I have a volume group consisting of 5 RAID1 devices grouped together into a lvm and formatted with xfs. The 5th RAID device lost its RAID config (cat /proc/mdstat does not show anything). The two drives are still present (sdj and sdk), but they have no partitions. The LVM appeared to be happily using sdj up until recently. (doing a pvscan showed the first 4 RAID1 devices + /dev/sdj) I removed the LVM from the fstab, rebooted, then ran xfs_check on the LV. It ran for about half an hour, then stopped with an error. I tried rebooting again, and this time when it came up, the logical volume was no longer there. It is now looking for /dev/md5, which is gone (though it had been using /dev/sdj earlier). /dev/sdj was having read errors, but after replacing the SATA cable, those went away, so the drive appears to be fine for now. Can I modify the /etc/lvm/backup/dedvol, change the device to /dev/sdj and do a vgcfgrestore? I could try doing a pvcreate --uuid KZron2-pPTr-ZYeQ-PKXX-4Woq-6aNc-AG4rRJ /dev/sdj to make it recognize it, but I'm afraid that would erase the data on the drive UPDATE: just changing the pv to point to /dev/sdj did not work vgcfgrestore --file /etc/lvm/backup/dedvol dedvol Couldn't find device with uuid 'KZron2-pPTr-ZYeQ-PKXX-4Woq-6aNc-AG4rRJ'. My challenge is that I would like to pass 2 variables to the callback function.     I have a website where Google Webmaster Tools reports 15,000 links as 404 errors. However, all links return a 200 when I visit them. The problem is, that eventhough I can visit these pages and return a 200, all those 15,000 pages won't index in Google. They aren't appearing in search results. These are constant errors Google Webmaster Tools keeps reporting and I'm not sure what the problem is. We've thought of a DNS issue, but it shouldn't be a DNS issue, because if it were, no page would be indexed (I have 10,000 perfectly indexed). Regarding URL parameters, my pages do not share a similarity in URL parameters that can make it obvious to me what could be causing the error.

    Possible Duplicate: Why do Google search results include pages disallowed in robots.txt? In my robots.txt I am disallowing a lot of URLs. Google webmaster tools says there're +750 URL blocked. The problem is the URLs are still showing on Google search. For example I have the following rule: Disallow: /entity/child-health/ But when I search some-keyword + child health the following URL shows up : http://www.sitename.com/entity/child-health/ Am I doing anything wrong? Is is possible for a URL to be blocked using robots.txt and still show up on search results?

    Possible Duplicate: Homepage not showing on Google I own markasoftware.getenjoyment.net. I submitted a sitemap for it, but Google is still not indexing things right: It indexes everything but the homepage!!! I have a JavaScript game on the site and it is even indexing the components of the game, but not the homepage. I checked my homepage at validator.w3.org for HTML5 validation and it passed. I also have a Google webmaster account and it says no indexing errors. What is the problem?
