  I want to query for a set of results based on the contents of a list, I've managed to do this for a single instance of the class Foo, but I'm unsure how I would do this for a IList<Foo>.   I start to use Java annotations heavily. One example is taking method with annotations and converting them into 'telnet'-based command-line command. I do this by parsing annotations and hook into jopt option parser. However, I do a lot of these manually. For example, Method parameter annotation processing.. Method method = ... //; Class[] parameters = method.getParamterTypes(); Annotation[][] annotations = method.getparamterAnnotations(); for( int i = 0; i < parameters.length; i++ ) { // iterate through the annotation , see if each param has specific annotation ,etc. } It is very redundant and tedious. Is there any opensource project that help processing Annotations?

  I'm a newcomer to Rails. I want to build a simple form that determines the sort order of a list. I've implemented a form in the likes of - <%= radio_button_tag :sort, "rating" %> <%= label_tag :sort_rating, "order by rating" %> <%= radio_button_tag :sort, "name" %> <%= label_tag :sort_name, "order by name" %> And now I am unsure how to implement the sort at the controller/model level. The aspects I am puzzled about are: Where should the sort be performed How could the sort parameter be persisted How could the code be reused Right now, I can't even get the selected sort method to remain selected after a submit. I would most appreciate any guidance or reference to an example.

• FFmpeg bitrate issue.

  I'm dealing with a very big issue about bit rate , ffmpeg provide the -b option for the bit rate and for adjustment it provide -minrate and -maxrate, -bufsize but it don't work proper. If i'm giving 256kbps at -b option , when the trans-coding finishes , it provide the 380kbps. How can we achieve the constant bit rate using ffmpeg. If their is +-10Kb it's adjustable. but the video bit rate always exceed by 50-100 kbps. I'm using following command ffmpeg -i "demo.avs" -vcodec libx264 -s 320x240 -aspect 4:3 -r 15 -b 256kb \ -minrate 200kb -maxrate 280kb -bufsize 256kb -acodec libmp3lame -ac 2 \ -ar 22050 -ab 64kb -y "output.mp4" When trans-coding is done, the Media Info show overall bit rate 440kb (it should be 320kb). Is their something wrong in the command. Or i have to use some other parameter? Plz provide your suggestion its very important.

  Hi, I am able to override multiple config parameters using nose-testconfig plugin only if i pass the overriding parameters on commandline. e.g. nosetests -c nose.cfg -s --tc=jack.env1:asl --tc=server2.env2:abc But when I define the same thing inside nose.cfg, than only the value for last parameter is modified. e.g. tc = server2.env2:abc tc = jack.env1:asl I checked the plugin code. It looks fine to me.   I have got a ExtJs application (MVC). So, I define many controllers, models, views and stores. At now, the structure of my project is not easy. For example my model: Ext.define('KP.model.account.AccountList', { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', fields: ['parameter', 'string_value'] }); I define my store with model like this: Ext.define('KP.store.account.AccountList', { extend: 'Ext.data.Store', alias: 'store.s_AccountList', model: 'KP.model.account.AccountList', ...................................... }); If I want to move some .js files, I must rewrite many paths in classes definitions. So, how can I declare my classes (by alias maybe) and use them more effectively? It's need, If I move files on files tree. Thanks!

• Linq to sql Incorrect varchar length

  I have a table with a nullable varchar(50) column in it. When I am updating the value through linq to sql and trace the call in profiler it is defining the parameter as varchar(36). This is obviously causing some minor issues when we are trying to insert data that is between 37 and 50 characters long. I have tried removing the table and re-adding it to the design surface but the same thing happens. I also tried removing that property and adding it manually, same issue. When I look at the designer.cs code it shows the attribute properly: [Column(Storage="_Name", DbType="VarChar(50)")] I am out of ideas, anybody seen this before? Every other column is correct.

• Scaffold default files are the best practice?

  Hey, i have some experience with MVC. but I'm new to rails. I'm using the scaffold command to generate some default files. The model looks clean and nice, but the controller and the views aren't really dry. The contents of new.html.erb and edit.html.erb are almost the same and the methods new/edit and create/update are doing almost the same thing. In other frameworks i've used only one view for updating and creating new entries and also the same method in my controller by setting the id as an optional parameter. Do they use this structure to keep things RESTful (i have not much of a clue about rest :()? Is it the best practice to use this default stuff for crud?

  Hello According to RFC, in multipart/form-data content-disposition header filename field receives as parameter HTTP quoted string - string between quites where character '\' can escape any other ascii character. Problem web browsers don't do it. IE6 sends: Content-Disposition: form-data; name="file"; filename="z:\tmp\test.txt" Instead of expected Content-Disposition: form-data; name="file"; filename="z:\\tmp\\test.txt" Which should be parsed as z:tmptest.txt according to rules instead of z:\tmp\test.txt. Firefox, Konqueror and Chrome don't escape " characters for example: Content-Disposition: form-data; name="file"; filename=""test".txt" Instead of expected Content-Disposition: form-data; name="file"; filename="\"test\".txt" So... how would you suggest to deal with this issue?

  Hi all! I've got a cms-driven website, with no option to change the code. What I want to accomplish is creating friendly url's, using only apaches mod-rewrite engine. The problem is I'm creating an infinite loop, because I first redirect the original url (index.php?id=21) to a friendly one (/friendly/) and then rewrite the '/friendly' part back to 'id=21' I know there should be an extra condition or parameter to avoid looping in this case, but I can´t get one of the possible solutions to work.   I'm trying to refactor a class and set of subclasses where the M type does extend anything, even though we know it has to be a subclass of a certain type. That type is parametrized and I would like its parametrized types to be available to subclasses that already have values for M. Is there any way to define this class without having to include the redundant K and V generic types in the parameter list. I'd like to be able to have the compiler infer them from whatever M is mapped to by subclasses. public abstract class NewParametrized<K, V, M extends SomeParametrized<K, V>> { public void someMethodThatTakesKAndV(K k1, V v1) { } } In other words, I'd like the class declaration to look something like: public class NewParametrized<M extends SomeParametrized<K, V>> { And K and V's types would be inferred from the definition of M.

  I'm trying to use a class as a key in an NSDictionary. I looked at the answer to this question and what I have is pretty much the same; I'm using setObject: forKey:. However, XCode complains, saying Incompatible pointer types sending 'Class' to parameter of type 'id<NSCopying>'. The call I have is: [_bugTypeToSerializerDictionary setObject: bugToStringSerializer forKey: [bugToStringSerializer serializedObjectType]]; bugToStringSerializer is an instance of BugToStringSerializer whose concrete implementations implement serializedObjectType. If I remove the custom route, it calls my function, but what I want to be displayed in the address bar is: localhost:xxxx/Wizard/1 where the number at the end is the page (div shown) of the wizard either 1, 2, 3, or 4. So is there something I'm missing or can it not be done? Thanks.

  Hey guys, I'm using a ldap server to store phonerecords. I want to select a record with a specific telnumber. So this is what I'm doing: LdapSearchResults lsc = _conn.Search(dnForPhonebook, 1, "(&(objectClass=*)(uid=" + id + "))", null, false); I'm using novell library for ldap commands. The options i need to give in for the Search command are the dn to the node "phonebook" (string), scope (int), filter (string), attrrs (string[]) and typesOnly (bool). As you can see, for the filter, i'm pasting the parameter as string in de stringfilter. I was wondering, does ldap have the same way of work as mysql or sql server, which can work with paramaters?   In Scala I would write an abstract class with an abstract attribute path: abstract class Base { val path: String } class Sub extends Base { override val path = "/demo/" } Java doesn't know abstract attributes and I wonder what would be the best way to work around this limitation. • Using a ICollection Value in sqlite SELECT parameterized statment

  Im trying to get all the entrys from a sqlite Database which have the same name as the keys in a Hashtable.
