  How can we get Field Labels from PIMItem. The following code is with PIMList String label = pimList.getAttributeLabel(blackBerryContact.getAttributes(Contact.TEL, i)); But i have PIMItem. There is a method PIMItem.getPIMList() which returns null for me in the code below. THE API at http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/5.0.0api/index.html says "getPIMList() Gets the PIMList associated with this item." • debugfs_create_file doesn't create file

  Hello, I am trying to create a debugfs file using the debugfs_create_file(...). • Chain dynamically created dropdowns with JQuery

  I'm building some kind of indefinite filters for an app, and I'm havin this problem when I clone some selects. The things is this selects are chained between them, trough the Chained Selects jQuery plugin. The problem is that every time I clone the selects, the chaining stops working, and I've tryed everything, such as .live() to make it work, but it seems I'm out of luck :D Here you have a sample of what I'm talking about, http://jsfiddle.net/7K2Eu/63/ At first, the selects chain normally, but when I clone the form, they stop working, except for the first row of selects. • DateTimeAxis - set Label to display Date + Time

  Hi, Is there a way in flex 3 chart component to display both the date and time using horizontal DateTimeAxis? Currently the DateTimeAxis element has an attribute dataunits which allows to set the value to any of "milliseconds|seconds|minutes|hours|days|weeks|months|years" but I want to display the label as "2009/09/15 06:00:00" which includes the day and the time too. • R: Converting a list of data frames into one data frame

  I have code that at one place ends up with a list of data frames which I really want to convert to a single big data frame. I got some pointers from an earlier question which was trying to do something similar but more complex. Here's an example of what I am starting with (this is grossly simplified for illustration): listOfDataFrames <- NULL for (i in 1:100) { listOfDataFrames[[i]] <- data.frame(a=sample(letters, 500, rep=T), b=rnorm(500), c=rnorm(500)) } I am currently using this: df <- do.call("rbind", listOfDataFrames) *EDIT* whoops. In my haste to implement what I had "learned" in a previous question I totally screwed up. Yes, the unlist() is just plain wrong. I'm editing that out of the question above.

As you can see the div appears from left down corner but I would like to animate it from bottom to top.   There are lots written about the ReaderWriterLockSlim class which allows multiple read and a single write. All of these (at least that I had found) tell how to use it without much explanation why and how it works. The standard code sample is: lock.EnterUpgradeableReadLock(); try { if (test if write is required) { lock.EnterWriteLock(); try { change the resourse here. } finally { lock.ExitWriteLock(); } } } finally { lock.ExitUpgradeableReadLock(); } The question is: if upgradeable lock permits only a single thread to enter its section, why I should call EnterWriteLock method within? What will happen if I don't? Or what will happen if instead of EnterUpgradeableReadLock I will call EnterWriteLock and will write to a resource without using upgradeable lock at all?

• Having difficulty catching postgresql exception in sequel/ruby

  I have postgresql table that has somekind of unique constraint. I have ruby script that will update this table. The ruby script should be able to switch to UPDATE instead of INSERT when this kind of error occured: PGError: ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint CMIIW, sequel seems cannot catch this exception?? • How to practically customize IE context menu?

  I need to add one menu item in IE context menu. It is similar with Google customized context menu "Search Google for xxx" when you right click on IE. I did a research and found that overriding IDocHostUIHandler::ShowContextMenu in a IE BHO can customized IE context menu. The sample project can be found in Popup blocker project published in codeproject. It works well and is easy to implement. However this approach has a problem. The problem is it will conflict with other add-ons' context menu customization per MSDN. In MSDN Internet Explorer Center forum, there are some discussions about this topic. However there is not a proper implementation posted. If anybody has experience on this, please share your idea. Thanks!

  I have used c:forEach loop for display the list of images using h:graphicImage. But I can't display the images. I have the h:commandLink also in my page. The image have to be displayed at the time of form inititalization. But its not working. But after click the h:commandlink, the images are displayed properly. Before that it shows the image not found text (alt message). I have used h:graphicImage tag like below <c:forEach items="#{Sample.imageList}" var="images" varstatus="imageStatus"> <h:graphicimage id="image" url="#{images}" alt="Image Not Found"/> </c:forEach> What I do wrong in that and how can I achieve that?

• How to reduce the number of points in (x,y) data

  I have a set of data points: (x1, y1) (x2, y2) (x3, y3) ... (xn, yn) The number of sample points can be thousands. I want to represent the same curve as accurately as possible with minimal (lets suppose 30) set of points. I want to capture as many inflection points as possible. However, I have a hard limit on the number of allowed points to represent the data. What is the best algorithm to achieve the same? Is there any free software library that can help? PS: I have tried to implement relative slope difference based point elimination, but this does not always result in the best possible data representation. Thanks for your time. -Gowtham

I can do everything except for the side inclusion with: SELECT scenario_needunits.scenID, unit_basic_data.nation, unit_basic_data.name FROM scenario_needunits LEFT OUTER JOIN unit_basic_data ON scenario_needunits.unitID=unit_basic_data.unitID WHERE scenario_needunits.scenID='scen001' ORDER BY unit_basic_data.nation ASC, unit_basic_data.name ASC I've tried just dropping the SCENARIO_NATIONS table in as a LEFT OUTER JOIN on scenID but what ends up happening is that ALL units come back with a side of 1 because that's always the first side listed for the scenID in the SCENARIO_NATIONS table. Conceptually, what I think needs to happen is SCENARIO_NATIONS must be joined to both the scenID (to restrict it to just that scenario) and to each unit's nation but I don't have any idea how to do that and my Google-fu is inadequate. :-/

• Is there a version of postActionEvent for KeyEvent (specifically for a JTextArea)?

  I'm writing a program that contains multiple JTextFields and 2 JTextAreas within an input panel. I have a submit button on the bottom. I have it set up so when a user types something into each field (including the JTextAreas) and hits the Enter key, it updates a text file, and when they press the submit button it updates the file then outputs a new version of it in the local directory. If the user presses Enter in any of the fields, it validates their input, however, I want to re-validate all fields when they press the submit button. Each field (again, JTextAreas included) has it's own validation check within its ActionListener or KeyListener (for the JTextAreas). It's easy enough to use postActionEvent() for the JTextFields, but is there a similar method for the JTextAreas to force fire a KeyEvent? I don't want to duplicate code and consume memory by re-writing the validation for those 2 Components inside the ActionEvent for the JButton. Unfortunately, I can't provide a sample because I'm writing the program on a classified machine (PC).

As such, it seems that there would be value in having pre-build Rails applications at various functionality points such as: basic User model with authentication using Authlogic #1 + openid integration #2 + authorization using declarative_authorization #3 + Administration module #4 + a Profile model Themes (useful stylesheets and such) Friendship model Geocoding ... In addition to the basic MVC stuff, these applications would include: testing harnesses seed data git support One could choose start from any of these functionality points. Other than the sample application that are available with the various gems/plugins, are there projects such as these? If not, I would certainly be willing to contribute what I have.

• MapReduce results seem limited to 100?

  I'm playing around with Map Reduce in MongoDB and python and I've run into a strange limitation. I'm just trying to count the number of "book" records. It works when there are less than 100 records but when it goes over 100 records the count resets for some reason.   hi everyone, I have writed a primitive wcf (vs 2010) service and created proxy files by svcutil. Later I created a mobile project on vs2008 and added proxy files on project but this error occured. Error 1 The type or namespace name 'ServiceContractAttribute' does not exist in the namespace 'System.ServiceModel' (are you missing an assembly reference?) C:\Users\Abb\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\WCF\MobileService\MobileClient\Sample.cs the proxy files runs well on console application (vs 2008) but there is errors on mobile. System.ServiceModel doesnot support ServiceContractAttribute.

• Replacing a column in CSV file with another in bash

  I have a csv file with a number of columns. I am trying to replace the second column with the second to last column from the same file. For example, if I have a file, sample.csv 1,2,3,4,5,6 a,b,c,d,e,f g,h,i,j,k,l I want to output: 1,5,3,4,5,6 a,e,c,d,e,f g,k,i,j,k,l Can anyone help me with this task? Also note that I will be discarding the last two columns afterwards with the cut function so I am open to separating the csv file to begin with so that I can replace the column in one csv file with another column from another csv file. Whichever is easier to implement. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd just like a single string as a result, not entire document. Here's C# code I got so far: _collection.FindOneAs(typeof(DictionaryDocument), Query.Exists(key)); key in this case is "SelectedAccounts". I'd like the query to filter and return only the data I need, I don't want to return all the results and search on the C# side. EDIT: I wouldn't mind if _id was passed back, but I don't need it. So only this part would work if it could be converted in C#: db.settings.find({"SelectedAccounts" :{$exists:true}},{"SelectedAccounts":1} )

• Spring MVC JSP Parameters

  I'm looking to turn off try blocks for a specific JSP page (though turning it off globally would be OK as well). From what I've gathered, it looks something like this: <jsp-param> <param-name>noTryBlocks</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </jsp-param> However, everywhere I see that sample it's for a weblogic.xml file. Does anybody know how I can set this JSP parameters for a Spring MVC application? web.xml?
