• In Eclipse, how to open a file browser in the directory of the currently edited file

  Hi, I know it's possible in eclipse to open file browsers from your project's resource browser, but is it possible for files that aren't part of your project ? Typically external includes are not found in your resource browser... If there is the equivalent of $(resource_loc) for the editor, it would work.. But I wasn't able to find it. Can anyone help me on this ? thanks! JC EDIT : I Found StartExplorer, but it's a joke of a plug-in. It is hardcoded to use WINDOWS explorer or cmd.exe. Also, it still requires you to use the resource browser. Other than that it can open paths selected in the editor, but they must be full paths.

• Running mongod as a windows service

  Hello, i have installed mongodb on win32 and i am trying to run it as a service. I have followed the instructions posted here: http://www.deltasdevelopers.com/post/Running-MongoDB-as-a-Windows-Service.aspx but when when windows tries to 'load'/'run' the service there is a problem. I see the service under the services control banner constantly in the 'starting' state. The result: the service is not started and windows is constantly trying to start it without success. The instructions i have followed are: At the command line C:\mongodb\mongod -install then C:\mongodb\mongod -service Then i modified the Win Registry Entry for the MongoDB Service by setting the ImagePath key to the value of C:\mongodb\mongodb.exe -service Any advice? What am i doing wrong?

• Run another version of Python using virtualenv

  I apologize in advance if the question is dummy ,i use Python 3.2.3 on Windows xp ,now i need Python3.3.2 , but i can't remove Python 3.2.3 because i have many codes and packages need to be run by it. I installed virtualenv to run two versions of Python in two different environments , but after that i didn't know what to do to run a code using Python 3.3.2 , here what i did: C:\>virtualenv.exe env1 C:\>env1\Scripts\activate now i don't know what to do after a folder was created its name env1 , i downloaded Python 3.3.2 and installed it in the same folder (env1) , is that correct ? then i try the following: (env1) C:\>python3.3.2 I got the following : 'python3.3.2' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. also i tried : (env1) C:\>python python33 I got the following: python: can't open file 'python33': [Errno 2] No such file or directory As i mentioned , i stuck at this point , any help will be very appreciated. • Need to call COM component using reflection in .NET

  I need to determine the COM component(unmanaged code) type and invoke the exposed interface's methods using reflection in C# at runtime. First What member of "Type" tells that type is COM component and we can take CLSID at runtime? Is Type.COMObject? I need to call methods of exposed interfaces as they called in unmanaged code using CoCreateInstance by passing CLSID and REFID ... I am using InvokeMember but it returns null or 0 as out parameter. How to pass out parameter in this case.? Is there any need to pass out parameter? As all my COM unmanaged code suppose to take last parameter as an OUT parameter and after executing it puts the result into that out param. But I've converted all my unmanaged COM code to .NET managed assemblies using tlbimp.exe.

  i have a custom buildchain for an android project. there is a build.xml and build.properties. build.properties contains this line: manifest.file =${env.WORK_FOLDER}/AndroidManifest.xml and WORK_FOLDER is correctly set to proj_root_work. the layout is like the following: proj_root-_work [DIR] (some stuff gets preprocessed and all finally copied here - src, res, assets and the AndroidManifest.xml) -build.xml -build.properties then i call ant for my build configuration from the proj_root and it complains about not finding AndroidManifest.xml. when i put it in my proj_root it works, but i really want it in my _Work directory. i read that the file HAS TO BE in the root, what is the point then of the build.properties entry? also i saw some custom parameters to aapt.exe ... any hints welcome, thx

  Hi all, I have a working WAMP environment (Apache Friends). I decided to try Subversion and downloaded CollabNetSubversion-server-1.6.9-1.win32.exe. On the download page there were packages including Apache server which I did not use - because I didn't want to replace my current Apache installation. I just installed the one that did not include Apache, and now I want to configure it to work with my current Apache. What should I do? Is there an easy step by step tutorial to explain this?

• Using Java to retrieve the CPU Usage for Window's Processes

  Hello all, I am looking for a Java solution to finding the CPU usage for a running process in Windows. After looking around the web, there seems to be little information on a solution in Java. Keep in mind, I am not looking to find the CPU usage for the JVM, but any process running in Windows at the time. I am able to retrieve the memory usage in Java by using the exec("tasklist.exe ... ") to retrieve and parse process information. Although there is an aggregate CPU cycle timer for each process, I do not see a CPU usage column. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if possible, I would like to stay away from C libraries; however, if there is no other alternative, a solution by that means would be appropriate. Thanks a lot, Steve

• Trouble with Powershell and running a complex commandline

  Hi, I've been trying to run the following command line from a Powershell build script we have; but keep running into issues & 'C:\Dev\Yadda\trunk\BuildScripts\U tilities\csmanage.exe' /create-deployme nt /name:yadddayaddyaddadev /label:yadddayaddyaddadev /package:https://yadddayaddyadda.blob.core.windows.net/mydeployments/20100426_202848_FamilyMoments.cspk g /config:C:\Dev\WalmartOne\trunk\yadddayaddyadda.CloudService\bin\Debug\ServiceCon figuration.cscfg /slot:Staging /hosted-service:yadddayaddyadda-dev" Note: the space in "Utilities" is intentional; trying to snif out a bug involving spaces in the executable path. I assure you, the path does exist with the space in it on my machine. What's the best way to call this command line from Powershell? I've tried Invoke-Expression, Diagnostic.Process::Start, &; each method coming up with some different type of error; usually that it could find the executable. Any constructive input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  Dear All , I have to generate keys from cWrsync, I have Command: "ssh-keygen -t rsa -q -N '' -f %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\.ssh\id_rsa" I placed that command into a batch file, that is pointing to cwRsync\bin directory, where ssh-keygen exe file is located, That batch file working fine Windows, But in Vista it is throwing unexpected result... the output of batch on Vista is: C:\Program Files\cwRsync\bin>ssh-keygen -t rsa -q -N '' -f C:\ProgramData\.ssh\i d_rsa open C:\\ProgramData\\.ssh\\id_rsa failed: Bad address. Saving the key failed: C:\ProgramData\.ssh\id_rsa. The intersting thing is that if i manually run this command in commandline , it again run successfully,

• Where are config files for class libraries physically located?

  My guess is that this question will fall under the category of "duh", but, nevertheless, I'm confused. When using config files in, for example, a Windows Forms Application, the config file can be found in C:\Program files\CompanyName\ProductName\Application.exe.config. However, with the class library I'm developing I do not see a "ClassLibrary.dll.config" file in the install folder after installing it (in tandem with another project) from Visual Studio. Even though I do not see the file anywhere, retrieving data from it works correctly. Plus, running the following code from a method within the class library returns the path you would expect: C:\Program files\CompanyName\ProductName\ClassLibrary.dll.config. • Can anyone get this project to work? (EasyHook)

  Hi, i'm trying to 'load' the following project into visual studio 2010 but im getting errors about dynamic link libraries not being found. I have manually referenced them but it doesnt like them. The project is: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/DLL/EasyHook64.aspx 2nd link down (EasyHook_2.5_Beta_Source_Code), and the project im wishing to load is EasyHook_2.5_Beta_Source_Code\Examples\ProcessMonitor The two dlls plus 1 executable i need are found in the first link (EasyHook 2.5 beta binaries) and named EasyHook.dll, EasyHook32.dll and EasyHook32svc.exe I've been trying to do this all night but i wonder whether its because im using VS2010 and .NET 4.0?? I'd be so appreciative if someone could have a go themselves just to see if its my setup or they get errors to. The error i get is: Unable to load DLL 'EasyHook32.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

• Best Installation Software?

  I am interested in knowing what the best software would be to build an installation package that performs the following: (1) Installs client application (2) Detects all SQL server instances on network, allowing user to select specific database to upgrade (which would then upgrade database using an embedded SQL script) (3) Installs website on a server/location specified by user, and configures IIS 6.0 and/or 7.0 based on settings that I specify. (4) Creates a simple setup.exe - and allows user to choose installation components (listed above, i.e install client app, sql server database, and/or website), and then download selected components from remove server. I have tried NSIS - as was able to create an installation package that will download a compressed (gzip) component from a remote server, decompress the file, install the components, and then remove the gzip file. So, this worked beautifully. The part where I am stuck is to be able to perform the database upgrade and website install. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. Chris

• How do I specify the com+ server when registering a vb6 com+ application without using clireg?

  I've found lots of documentation on how to install com+ components with WiX or an exported msi from dcomcnfg but the problem with these approaches is I can't see where to specify the com+ server. Currently we register the components with clireg and the -s switch which allows us to specify the com+ server like so: clireg32.exe BLEH.VBR -s COMSERVER -t BLEH.TLB -d This is messy to say the least and I've been trying to get this into some automated form of installation that doesn't involve calling a batch file full of clireg32 calls. Currently WiX is the backbone of our packaging automation so a solution with WiX would be awesome. Thanks.

• Creating a process in a non-zero session from a service in windows-2008-server?

  Hi, I was wondering if there is a simple way for a service to create a process in user session? My service is running as a user(administrator) account and not as a LocalSystem acount, therefore i can't use the WTSQueryUserToken function. i have tried calling OpenProcessToken(GetCurrentProcess,TOKEN_ALL_ACCESS,TokenHandle); but when i use this token to run CreateProcessAsUser(TokenHandle,.....) my process is still running in session 0. how can i resolve this issue? I'm using an Ole automation so i don't really care on which session the process will be running on, as long it is not the session 0 - because the Ole from some reason doesn't create its processes (winword.exe for instance) in session 0, but rather it creates them in other user sessions. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

I like the simplicity of SQLite, but by design, it doesn't support concurrent access. The apps I write don't have heavy needs, so I'd like to avoid heavier solutions like MySQL that are more difficult to deploy (remote customers with usually no computer personnel). Does someone know of a good solution that would offer the following features? Client available for VB.Net applications The server itself doesn't have to be a .Net application. • Change namespace/filesystem folder names in Visual Studio

  I'm trying to change a namespace in Visual Studio. My folder structure looks something like this: GameAlpha/ GameAlpha.sln GameAlphaRelease/ GameAlphaTest/ GameAlphaLevelEditor/ These include namespaces like GameAlphaRelease. I want to change all this to GameBetaRelease. Before this process, it built fine. First, I changed the solution and project files from Alpha to Beta. Then, I did a "find-replace-all" on the namespace. Finally, I went through the properties of each project and changed the "Assembly Name" and "Default Namespace" to the appropriate Beta title. However, now the solution does not build. The error is: GameAlpha.accessor: The reference to 'GameAlpha.exe' was not found in the list of this projects references. (Project: GameBetaTest) What am I doing wrong? If I remove project GameBetaTest, the solution builds just fine. Also, what is the preferable way to change the names of the folders in the file system?

  Hi I'm developing an Eclipse product. In my plugin i have added an executable file (.exe) which i need to execute. When i launch the product from the eclipse, the file is referenced using the path of the executable on my file system and all went ok. When i export the product the plugin is packaged in a jar file which contains the executable file too. When it references the file the path is something like : $path_to_the_plugin_jar!/$path_to_exe_file_inside_the_jar Using this path to launch a new Process Thrown an exception. How can i refer to a file inside a jar?How could i execute the file? Can i extract the file when i export the product with eclipse? thanks

  [Environment] Server Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 Client Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0 Microsoft Office 2003 Hello~ Today I received a call from one of my client and she said that she received an alert, "Ambiguous name detected: tempDDE" when attemping to open a doc from library. So I googled some and found solutions from MS and others and modified from Normal.dot to Normal1.dot. But after that, when I opened it again from library another problem happend and it is the doc contents is not loaded. When I click the link of doc, then the WIN?WORD.exe pops up but the contents of the document is not showing up (Silent). I tried some Open the doc file using Word Open Menu (Library Link) = Worked Get the url of the file and open it uing using Word Open Menu = Worked Add the url to Trusted Site = Done but not helped Any advices are welcomed.   I have looked through the nant documentation and sourceforge faq and can't find the answer to this question. The exec task in nant puts ( ) around the command line parameters it generates, so for example this task below would generate: mallow ( -1 ) <exec program="${build.tools.wix}\mallow.exe" workingdir="${build.out.xxx}"> <arg value="-1" /> </exec> The other open source tool I'm using - mallow - cannot handle this. Does anyone know of a way to stop nant putting the ( ) around the arguments? Thanks.

Below is my selenium code. selenium = new DefaultSelenium("localhost", 4444, "*custom "+testBrowser+" -id=test -url=", "http://www.google.com/"); selenium.start(); selenium.open("http://www.yahoo.com"); When i execute this i am getting the below error. java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not start Selenium session: Failed to start new browser session: Error while launching browser at com.thoughtworks.selenium.DefaultSelenium.start(DefaultSelenium.java:103) I think the problem is with options that my browser requires as the same code works fine with firefox or IE.
