    I am using Visual C# Express 2010 to develop an application for the Unity3D game engine, which only supports C# 2.0. That is, I am only using it to edit code, but the compilation is done by Unity. I'm wondering if there is a way to configure Visual C# to edit C# 2.0, so that, for example, it yells if I (out of habit) try to use a var declaration or foo => bar function. Thanks!

    I load scripts using luaL_loadfile and then lua_pcall from my game, and was wondering if instead of loading them into the global table, I could load them into a table named after their filename? For example: I have I file called "Foo.lua", which contains this: function DoSomething() --something end After loading it I want to be able to access it like: Foo.DoSomething() Thanks!

  • Is it possible to edit a sound file based on frequency???

    Just wondering if it's possible to go through a flac, mp3, wav, etc file and edit portions, or the entire file by removing sections based on a specific frequency range? So for example, I have a recording of a friend reciting a poem with a few percussion instruments in the background. Could I write a C program that goes through the entire file and cuts out everything except the vocals (human voice frequency ranges from 85-255 Hz, from what I've been reading)? If not, then in the designer code. I have my control declared as Public in the base class. I can access it in the child form code, but not in the form designer. Is this just not possible?

I've written the following query, but I'm wondering if there is any better way to do this?     Dear ladies and sirs. If two threads in a process generate a new GUID concurrently using .NET API (Guid.NewGuid()) is it possible that the two GUIDs will be identical? Thanks. UPDATE I want to get practical. I know that it is widely assumed that GUIDs are unique for all practical purposes. I am wondering if I can treat GUIDS produced by the different threads of the same process in the same manner.

    Greetings Overflowers, To my understanding (and I hope I'm not right) changes to indices cannot be MVCCed. I'm wondering if this is also true with big records as copies can be costly. Since records are accessed via indices (usually), how MVCC can be effective ? Do, for e.g., indices keep track of different versions of MVCCed records ? Any recent good reading on this subject ?     I'm getting started with RegEx and I was wondering if anyone could help me craft a statement to convert coordinates as follows: 145.00694,-37.80421,9 145.00686,-37.80382,9 145.00595,-37.8035,16 145.00586,-37.80301,16 to 145.00694,-37.80421 145.00686,-37.80382 145.00595,-37.8035 145.00586,-37.80301 (Strip off the last comma and value and turn it into a line break.)   • Managing .git file size

    My .git file has grown to 229Mb and I wondering what the best way to cut down the size is. I know about git gc and have been using it a fair amount. I'm not totally sure about how git works, but I know that there is packaged information in there that I no longer need. Like, I know I no longer need the first five branches saved. Is there a way to completely erase really old branches or commits or something like that?
