If I break the Insert statements mySQL dies but I'm still getting a success message on the front end. What am I doing wrong?   • How can I have a web link perform an action in a specific desktop application?

    The specific situation is I have a .zip file that I want to open with a certain application. However, I don't want all ZIP files associated with that application. I think the answer is that instead of saying, "download this zip file, and open it with application X" I could have the browser basically go well my desktop application to go fetch it on its own (the same way directives like itunes: mailto: or aim: do things like launch the itunes store, add buddies, etc). Thoughts?

    Hi, I'm making a game where when a card is touched, it grows so that it is focused, and when you 'let go', it goes back to its original size and place. This seems pretty standard, however, when I add cards and move the hand around to accommodate different numbers of cards, touching the card makes it go to its original place, and not to the new place. This has been stumping me for a while now Any hints would be much appreciated. Thanks !

  • Is there an easy way to stream a m3u in iPhone?

    I can have a UIWebView with the .m3u file opened, which will go to the webview with a play button displayed, and that automatically goes to the quicktime player and starts playing the stream. But when I press the done button, it goes back to the UIWebView with a little play button in the middle, and from there you can go back to the previous screen (it was selected from a tableview). So I just want it to automatically load the quicktime player in the view. How can I do that?

    Isn't port forwarding managed by the router? Like, I've googled up some software applications that seem to port forward with great success, but it technically seems to be impossible. The packet must first go to the router. The router must forward it to the correct computer based on port forwarding rules. So how can a software application manage port forwarding if the packet must GO to the computer running this software application in the first place, meaning that port forwarding already is successful in the first place?

The reason I thought is that I use equal sign to test the condition(dbo.t.a = duplicate.a AND dbo.t.b = duplicate.b), and NULLs cannot be compared use equal sign. So, in order to include rows that include NULLs in it in the last result, I have change the aforementioned query to WITH duplicate (a, b) AS ( SELECT a, b FROM dbo.t GROUP BY a, b HAVING count(*) > 1 ) SELECT dbo.t.a, dbo.t.b FROM dbo.t INNER JOIN duplicate ON (dbo.t.a = duplicate.a AND dbo.t.b = duplicate.b) OR (dbo.t.a IS NULL AND duplicate.a IS NULL AND dbo.t.b = duplicate.b) OR (dbo.t.b IS NULL AND duplicate.b IS NULL AND dbo.t.a = duplicate.a) OR (dbo.t.a IS NULL AND duplicate.a IS NULL AND dbo.t.b IS NULL AND duplicate.b IS NULL) And this query will give me the answer as I wanted: a b -------- -------- NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL a b a b a b c d c d c d c d Now my question is, as you can see, this query just include two columns, in order to include NULLs in the last result, you have to use many condition testing statements in the query.     i have a problem about phpexcel and joomla. I'm developing some filter form to load excel reports, so i used phpexcel library to do this. Right now i have only a report, it works fine, but after that i upload inside joomla using PHP pages component that allows me to put php files inside joomla and call it. When i put them, i change a little bit the form that calls the php that generates the excel report, i call the php using a link like this: h**p://www.whiblix.com/index.php?option=com_php&Itemid=24 That is, calling it from Joomla, not directly the php. If i wanna call the php directly i could use this path: h**p://www.whiblix.com/components/com_php/files/repImportaciones.php What's the problem? The problem is, when i call the php that generates the excel through joomla, the excel that is downloaded is corrupt and only shows symbols in one cell when i open it. But if i call the php directly the report is generated fine. I could call the php directly, the problem is that if i call it directly i can't use this line of code: defined( '_JEXEC' ) or die( 'Restricted access' ); That is used to deny the direct access to php from call it directly, because it doesn' work because the security. Where's the problem?     I have a hash that I sorted by values greatest to least. How would I go about getting the top 5? There was a post on here that talked about getting only one value. What is the easiest way to get a key with the highest value from a hash in Perl? I understand that so would lets say getting those values add them to an array and delete the element in the hash and then do the process again?     I've used emacs for decades and always wondered, but kept on coding, if there was a way to type in something, them move the cursor and insert the same text, like the VI . command. Instead what I do is to type the text, set the mark, backup, copy the region, go to the next spot (often just C-n, down one line) and then pre-arg yank, C-u C-y. It's the overhead of set mark, backup and copy region that makes me just go ahead and retype the thing.

  • Visual marker when moving rows on DataGridView

    Users drag rows up and down in my DataGridView. I have the dragging logic down-pat, but I'd like there to be a dark marker indicating where the row will be placed after I let go of the mouse. (I've seen this in 1000 places before, but can't seem to find an example right now) Does anyone know how I'd go about doing this? Is this built-in, or would I have to draw my own marker (if so, how do I do that)? Thanks!

  • Perl - Calling subclass constructor from superclass (OO)

    This may turn out to be an embarrassingly stupid question, but better than potentially creating embarrassingly stupid code. :-) This is an OO design question, really. Let's say I have an object class 'Foos' that represents a set of dynamic configuration elements, which are obtained by querying a command on disk, 'mycrazyfoos -getconfig'. Let's say that there are two categories of behavior that I want 'Foos' objects to have: Existing ones: one is, query ones that exist in the command output I just mentioned (/usr/bin/mycrazyfoos -getconfig`. Make modifications to existing ones via shelling out commands. Create new ones that don't exist; new 'crazyfoos', using a complex set of /usr/bin/mycrazyfoos commands and parameters. Here I'm not really just querying, but actually running a bunch of system() commands. Affecting changes. Here's my class structure: Foos.pm package Foos, which has a new($hashref-{name = 'myfooname',) constructor that takes a 'crazyfoo NAME' and then queries the existence of that NAME to see if it already exists (by shelling out and running the mycrazyfoos command above). If that crazyfoo already exists, return a Foos::Existing object. Any changes to this object requires shelling out, running commands and getting confirmation that everything ran okay. If this is the way to go, then the new() constructor needs to have a test to see which subclass constructor to use (if that even makes sense in this context). Here are the subclasses: Foos/Existing.pm As mentioned above, this is for when a Foos object already exists. Foos/Pending.pm This is an object that will be created if, in the above, the 'crazyfoo NAME' doesn't actually exist. In this case, the new() constructor above will be checked for additional parameters, and it will go ahead and, when called using -create() shell out using system() and create a new object... possibly returning an 'Existing' one... OR As I type this out, I am realizing it is perhaps it's better to have a single: (an alternative arrangement) Foos class, that has a -new() that takes just a name -create() that takes additional creation parameters -delete(), -change() and other params that affect ones that exist; that will have to just be checked dynamically. So here we are, two main directions to go with this. I'm curious which would be the more intelligent way to go.

    I'm trying to create a "GetCurrentLevel" method that takes a point value as an input and returns what "Level" that corresponds to. I'm storing the Level = Points mapping in an array, but the array pointer is not moving logically when I use it a foreach loop. I've added echo statements for debugging.     I want to open a file in a web browser (anyone will do) and I want to see it in the view source mode instead of in the standard browser window. This can be done in two steps, by opening the file and then go to the view source window (different shortcuts in each browser), but I want to directly go to the view source window. I have not found any such command line argument for Firefox nor Chrome. Is this possible just with the base browser functionality?
