Not the problem is. He wants to just take pictures, and once he does that it syncs with all his devices, he'll even dock the iPad. Is there a better way to sync photos between all devices?

    I am using Unity3D 4.1 for one of my projects. I have a robot character which is always running. I am using mecanim animation system. What I really want:When I press Space bar, the character should jump up in the air, triggering an animation clip and then by the time it reaches the ground, the animation clip should also end. What actually is happening:When I press Space bar, the character jumps in the air. Animation clip plays as it should, but ends way before it reaches the ground. So, it looks like he is running in the mid air. What have I done: I have this humanoid robot setup with a jump animation bounded with the space bar key. Also, instead of using root motion, I am directly moving the robot from code. //Jumping if(Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.Space)){ rigidbody.AddForce(Vector3.up*jumpVelocty); anim.SetBool("Jump",true); } else anim.SetBool("Jump",false); Character's Details: Rigidbody = Mass:30, Freeze rotaion:x,y,z Capsule Collider = Material: metal, center(0,4.5,0), radius:1, height:11 Script = jumpVelocity:20000 Jump Animation Clip: ~ 2 seconds.     I've been thinking about this for a while. I have a 2D tile bases platformer in XNA with a large array of tile data, I've been running into memory problems with large maps. (I will add chunks soon!) Currently, Each tile contains an Item along with other properties like how its rotated, if it has forground / background, etc. An Item is static and has properties like the name, tooltip, type of item, how much light it emits, the collision it does to player, etc. Examples: public class Item { public static List<Item> Items; public Collision blockCollisionType; public string nameOfItem; public bool someOtherVariable,etc,etc public static Item Air public static Item Stone; public static Item Dirt; static Item() { Items = new List<Item>() { (Stone = new Item() { nameOfItem = "Stone", blockCollisionType = Collision.Solid, }), (Air = new Item() { nameOfItem = "Air", blockCollisionType = Collision.Passable, }), }; } } Would be an Item, The array of Tiles would contain a Tile for each point, public class Tile { public Item item; //What type it is public bool onBackground; public int someOtherVariables,etc,etc } Now, Most would probably use an enum, or a form of ID to identify blocks. Well my system is really nice just to find out about an item. I can simply do tiles[x,y].item.Name To get the name for example. I realized my Item property of the tile is over 1000 Bytes! Wow! What I'm looking for is a way to use an ID (Int or byte depending on how many items) instead of an Item but still have a method for retreiving data about the type of item a tile contains.

    I have a module that builds an app called MyApp. I have another that builds some testcases for that app, called MyAppTests. They both build their own APKs, and they both work fine from within my IDE. I'd like to build them using ant so that I can take advantage of continuous integration. Building the app module works fine. I'm having difficulty getting the Test module to compile and run. Using Christopher's tip from a previous question, I used android create test-project -p MyAppTests -m ../MyApp -n MyAppTests to create the necessary build files to build and run my test project. This seems to work great (once I remove an unnecessary test case that it constructed for me and revert my AndroidManifest.xml to the one I was using before it got replaced by android create), but I have two problems.   • Can't build and run an android test project created using "ant create test-project" when tested proj

    I have a module that builds an app called MyApp. I have another that builds some testcases for that app, called MyAppTests. They both build their own APKs, and they both work fine from within my IDE. I'd like to build them using ant so that I can take advantage of continuous integration. Building the app module works fine. I'm having difficulty getting the Test module to compile and run. Using Christopher's tip from a previous question, I used android create test-project -p MyAppTests -m ../MyApp -n MyAppTests to create the necessary build files to build and run my test project. This seems to work great (once I remove an unnecessary test case that it constructed for me and revert my AndroidManifest.xml to the one I was using before it got replaced by android create), but I have two problems. I'm not sure it's the right thing to do, but I copied the missing libraries (roboguice and gson) from the MyApp/libs directory to the MyAppTests/libs directory and everything seems to compile fine.   • Using jQuery to Dynamically Insert Into List Alphabetically

    I have two ordered lists next to each other. When I take a node out of one list I want to insert it alphabetically into the other list. The catch is that I want to take just the one element out and place it back in the other list without refreshing the entire list. The strange thing is that when I insert into the list on the right, it works fine, but when I insert back into the list on the left, the order never comes out right. I have also tried reading everything into an array and sorting it there just in case the children() method isn't returning things in the order they are displayed, but I still get the same results.     I have a ruby on rails app where I want users to be able to store a list. The list is similar to a shopping cart except for the fact that they input their own items. I would like store everything in the session, but this seems like it would get complicated and would start to take up space after a while. The other way of doing it was to create temporary entries in the database with a "temp" flag and session id so that they could come back to it. The only problem with this is, how do I clean out stale entries?

    Hi fellows, i think this not a specific problem to me; everybody might have encountered this issue before. To properly illustrate it, here's a simple UI: As you can see, those two spinners are controlling a single variable -- "A". The only difference is that they control it using different views. If i change the top spinner, "A" will be changed and the bottom spinner's value will also be updated accordingly. However, updating the bottom spinner's call (such as setValue) will also trigger another event instructing the top spinner to update based on the bottom spinner's value. Thus creates a bad cycle which can eventually cause a StackOverFlow exception. My previously solution is kinda cumbersome: i placed a guarding boolean to indicate whether the 2nd updating call should be performed. Now i'd like to ask "how can i handle such situation elegantly?" thx

    I have a UIImageView inside a subview and I'm trying to get an AspectFit content mode working how I want for a 90 degree transformation. Here is a demo app of what I mean https://github.com/rdetert/image-scale-test If you run the app and hold it in a landscape orientation (app runs in landscape) you'll see that the image does not stretch from left edge to right edge. What seems to be happening is that the AspectFit works correctly for the portrait/default orientation, but then the image simply gets rotated the image after the fact. How can I make it auto stretch? I think the fact that it is inside a subview may have something to do with it?

When I run these on my local machine in chrome, I get cross site scripting errors when trying to make calls to the service. When I run the same exact code using the Cordova browser in the iOS emulator, the scripts seem to hit the server fine and the response data is received properly. So my question is how is the Cordova browser able to make these requests without cross-site scripting permissions & JSONP ? One thing I noticed is that when the request is sent from iOS, there is no "Origin" header. Is this allowing the Cordova browser to stealthily circumvent cross-site scripting requirements? Is it possible that the node.js server on the device (I believe this is how Cordova works) is manipulating the headers to allow this? I'd like to avoid enabling cross-site scripting on my site so I think this "feature" is nice, but I'm wondering if it's a security hole as well. Anyone have experience with this?

Why can't I go: X = MyClass.new X.my_method How is this type of pattern useful if I can't call it from an instance?

  • Affine Transforms with Demo App

    I have a demo app here https://github.com/rdetert/image-transform-test After importing an image, you can pinch, zoom, rotate the image. What I want to do is save out a 640x480 image (landscape mode) that looks identical to the live preview. So if there are 100px bars of empty space on the sides, I need the same empty bars in the final output (scaled appropriately). This is proving to be more difficult than I thought it would be. I can't quite get it to come out right after days of working on it. The magic method that generates the final image is called -(void)generateFinalImage Good luck! ;)
