  I'd like to provide a browser page to help non-techies run the various tests I've created using the standard django test framework. The ideal would be for a way to display all the tests found for an application with tick boxes against each one, so the user could choose to run all tests or just a selection.   My XP machine has become terribly slow and I want to identify the application at fault. It seems to be related to disk access rather than processor hogging. I can look at the task manager to get a good idea but it's not ideal. I was wondering if there was some application that can monitor all aspects of processes effectively. Given that, what is the best free WebDAV client for Windows? I think something like Filezilla, but for WebDAV, would be ideal.

When we upgrade a library it would be useful to quickly find out which projects have a dependency on the library (and might need to use the new version) Obviously I can manually look in all the pom files or write a script to do it but this is less than ideal. • Cross-browser method for hiding page elements until all content is loaded to prevent layout from appearing broken during load?

  I have an issue where due to some elements loading faster than others, the page looks broken for a few seconds at the start. An example is the CSS Pie behavior that allows me to do curved corners in IE, it appears before it becomes curved which looks bad. What would be ideal would be it somehow knowing when everything is loaded and then appear all at once, possibly including some kind of elegant visual way of not making the user feel impatient... any ideas or common tricks for doing this?

However sometimes it does not release the lock right away and that causes file locking exceptions with functions run after this one run. Is there a ideal way to release the file lock right after the fs.Close()

• Is it possible to generate a XSL-FO template from a PDF?

  Given a PDF document, is it possible to generate a XSL-FO (FOP) template? Obviously, this would be a one-time thing - the generated template would just be a starting point for creating a proper template that pulls in the appropriate data. For me, the ideal tool for doing so would be a Java-based one and should be executable from the command line or through an ANT task. Failing that, it would be something that runs on Linux and MacOS X.

  I have the following tables/columns: Parent: ParentID Child: ChildID ParentID SubChild: SubChildID ChildID Date Parent has 1 to Many relationship with Child Child has 1 to Many relationship with SubChild For every Parent, I need to get the SubChild with the most recent Date value. How can I do this using SQL. I've tried using MAX(Date), but I can't seem to figure out how to join Parent and Child successfully. The ideal result set would contain all the Parents joined with all the SubChild columns of the latest record. Note: using MS SQL 2005+

  I'm building a Drupal theme up and want to know if there is a Drupalish way to add a css file only if the user has js turned off. This would ideally go in the theme.info file to keep it neat! Something like this would be ideal: conditional-stylesheets[if no javascript][all][] = nojs.css If this isn't possible then I'm going to keep all the css that needs JS out of the css files, and add it dynamically using JS but this seems a bit messy... Any ideas?

  When globalizing a wpf application with static resx classes, it's very easy to miss the odd label or button that has its Content property set to a hard coded string in a particular language, ie English. These should of course be moved off to a {x:Static ...} so they can be localised for each culture. Are there any tools which can spot this and warn you? Built in to VS would be ideal, but I'm thinking that 'style cop' type build tools would do the job as well.

  I need to build SSIS packages on a build machine, and do not want the overhead of installing SQL Server Management Studio on this machine. A SQL Server 2008 SDK would be ideal, but I could not find where to download it. The dlls I require are (for example): Microsoft.SQLServer.ManagedDTS Microsoft.SqlServer.PipelineHost Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSPipelineWrap Microsoft.SQLServer.DTSRuntimeWrap I could attempt to copy them to the build machine individually, but I would rather just use an SDK if possible. Where can I get the SDK, or alternatively, what suggestions are there?

• Drupal: Can Book layout menu be added and expanded in the primary menu?

  I'd like to take a book menu and just add it right to the primary links. Any way to do that? It can appear alreayd in the Navigation links but I'd like it to expand to deeper child levels.
