• Autorun a removable device in Linux

  I have a removable device setup so it autoruns when plugged into a Windows machine and pops up a message giving the owner's information, so it can be returned if lost. Is there a way to do this in Linux as well? It doesn't need to be complex, it can be an option in a right-click menu, or a splashscreen, or anything.

  I am writing some simple output in fortran, but I want whitespace delimiters. If use the following statement, however: format(A20,ES18.8,A12,ES18.8) I get output like this: p001t0000 3.49141273E+01obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00 I would prefer this: p001t0000 3.49141273E+01 obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00 I tried using negative values for width (like in Python) but no dice. So, is there a way to left-justify the numbers? Many thanks in advance!

• Silverlight MVVM add record from user control

  I have a User Control for searching container numbers. If the user enters a container number that's new to the system then I want to tell the VM "I have a new record to add". The MVVM method avoids using Events to communicate with the VM as they create code-behind. Should I create a Dependency Property to trigger the VM but I don't think I've seen other controls with a "NewRecord" property? Any thoughts?

Pythagorean triplet is a set {a,b,c} such that a2 = b2 + c2. Example: for array [9, 2, 3, 4, 8, 5, 6, 10] the output of the algorithm should be {3, 4, 5} and {6, 8, 10}.

These all work: 1) Rename attributes (with renaming identifier specified) 2) Add attributes 3) Add new entity + new attribute + inverse relationship to an already existing entity 4) remove existing entity + relationships to that entity = It almost looks like just about anything can be handled with LM. Did I miss something? In which cases am I getting into trouble and need an some more complex approach?

The function should, given a node, return the node itself or any of its children such that the probability of choosing a node is normally distributed relative to its depth (so the function should return mostly middle nodes, but sometimes the root itself or the lowest ones - but that's not really necessary if that makes it significantly more complex, if all any node is chosen with equal probability, that's good enough). The program is a complex one, I am sure that no part will touch a, and b. My question is, will the runtime(garbage collector) to collect the memory of "a" and then assign a and b to null? I am confused, thanks!
