  • Grails - Need to restrict fetched rows based on condition on join table

    Hi guys, I have these two domains Car and Driver which have many-to-many relationship. This association is defined in table tblCarsDrivers which has, not surprisingly, primary keys of both the tables BUT additionally also has a new boolean field deleted. Herein lies the problem. When I find/get query on domain Car, I am fetched all related drivers irrespective of their deleted status in tblCarsDrivers, which is expected. I need to put a clause/constraint to exclude the deleted drivers from the list of fetched records. PS: I tried using an association domain CarDriver in joinTable name but that seems not to work. Apparently it expects only table names, not maps. PPS: I know its unnatural to have any other fields besides the mapping keys in mapping table but this is how I got it and it cant be changed. Car domain is defined as such - class Car { Integer id String name static hasMany = [drivers:Driver] static mapping = { table 'tblCars' version false drivers joinTable:[name: 'tblCarsDrivers',column:'driverid',key:'carid'] } } Thanks!

How do I A) have a button press add a value to an array B) stop after Nth button press equal to amount of numbers in the array I'm checking against and C) compare this array to the other array?

    Greetings! I've been fooling around (a bit) with C# and its assemblies. And so i've found such an interesting feature as dynamic loading assemblies and invoking its class members. A bit of google and here i am, writing some kind of 'assembly explorer'. (i've used some portions of code from here, here and here and none of 'em gave any of expected results). But i've found a small bug: when i tried to invoke class method from assembly i've loaded, application raised MissingMethod exception. I'm sure DLL i'm loading contains class and method i'm tryin' to invoke (my app ensures me as well as RedGate's .NET Reflector): The main application code seems to be okay and i start thinking if i was wrong with my DLL... Ah, and i've put both of projects into one solution, but i don't think it may cause any troubles. And yes, DLL project has 'class library' target while the main application one has 'console applcation' target. So, the question is: what's wrong with 'em?     Within an Access 2007 application, I'm creating a static report in .pdf format. I want to create it, then export the static report (not the data itself) to a Sharepoint Document Library. The intent is for it to be a public repository, no versioning. Each report will carry a unique name. I'm a seasoned vba programmer, but using Sharepoint services is new to me. How do I go about doing this? Assume I can identify the file name and location after I've generated it, and I know the Sharepoint library URL, and have permissions. Where do I go from there?

My question is, which of the following type of data will be garbage collected (I'm pretty sure static fields can be garbage collected any time but I'm not sure about these): i) fields that are declared final or static final ii) intent and its data that I passed from activity A to activity B iii) onSavedInstanceState when orientation is changed during the app running I ask this because I want to ensure that my app won't crash when I restore activity B from background after a long period.

    Say I have an enum something like: enum OrderStatus { AwaitingAuthorization, InProduction, AwaitingDespatch } I've also created an extension method on my enum to tidy up the displayed values in the UI, so I have something like: public static string ToDisplayString(this OrderStatus status) { switch (status) { case Status.AwaitingAuthorization: return "Awaiting Authorization"; case Status.InProduction: return "Item in Production"; ... etc } } Inspired by the excellent post here, I want to bind my enums to a SelectList with an extension method: public static SelectList ToSelectList<TEnum>(this TEnum enumObj) however, to use the DisplayString values in the UI drop down I'd need to add a constraint along the lines of : where TEnum has extension ToDisplayString Obviously none of this is going to work at all with the current approach, unless there's some clever trick I don't know about. Does anyone have any ideas about how I might be able to implement something like this?

    Sometimes (quite a lot, actually) we get a situation in Java where two objects are pointing to the same thing. Now if we serialise these separately it is quite appropriate that the serialised forms have separate copies of the object as it should be possible to open one without the other. However if we now deserialise them both, we find that they are still separated. Is there any way to link them back together?   • LNK2005: delete already defined error in VC++

    Hi, I asked this question earlier as well: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2773168/lnk2005-delete-already-defined-error-in-vc The answer I got was that I should be using dynamic version of DLLs. I did that and it compiled fine. Now, but when I gave the exe to one of my colleagues to run, they told me - they can't run it as it requires some shared dll, so they need a static one. When I try to do static build then I get the error as mentioned in my previous link. Do, I need to provide some other file as well with exe. I have got .lib file as well in the build directory. Shall I provide taht one as well? I can run it fine on my m/c in whichever directory I put it. Any help is much appreciated as I am really stuck. Thanks in advance, Suchita

    For my Google Wave robot, on the onDocumentChanged event I want to apply a filter as follows: @Capability(filter = FILTER) @Override public void onDocumentChanged(DocumentChangedEvent event) { ... } I want the filter to be generated the first time the robot is run, which I'm trying to do as follows: private static final String FILTER = generateFilter(); private static final String generateFilter(){ ... } However, it complains FILTER isn't a constant expression when used within @Capability. generateFilter() will return the same string every time it is called, I'm only using it to create the string so that when I make changes, I don't need to worry about updating the filter. Now I could be going about this all wrong, so wondered if anyone knew what I'm doing wrong, or knew a better way in which I could generate a constant expression from the function.

    I am writing some eclipse emf code and would like to print the content of an EObject (not store it to disk). Here is what I try: public static void print(EObject obj) { Resource eResource = obj.eResource(); try { eResource.save(System.out, null); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } but that gives a NullPointerException. I have tried this instead: public static void print(EObject obj) { ResourceSet resourceSet = new ResourceSetImpl(); resourceSet.getResourceFactoryRegistry().getProtocolToFactoryMap() .put("*", new XMIResourceFactoryImpl()); Resource resource = resourceSet.createResource(URI.createURI("dummyfile.xml")); resource.getContents().add(obj); try { resource.save(System.out, null); } catch (IOException ioe) { ioe.printStackTrace(); } } This works, but is it not possible to print to screen without specifying a dummy URI??

  • Tomcat custom 404 not shown

    Hello! In my web.xml I am using <error-page> <error-code>404</error-code> <location>/static/404.html</location> </error-page> but is doesn't work in Tomcat. It still shows the Tomcat's default 404 page. And no - that's not IE. I tried different browsers. /static/404.html opens if requested directly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • Is it possible for a Grails Domain to have no 'id'?

    Is it possible to create a table that has no 'id'? For example, this is my domain: class SnbrActVector { int nid String term double weight static mapping = { version false id generator: 'identity' } static constraints = { } } When I run this SQL statement, it fails: insert into snbr_act_vector values (5, 'term', 0.5) I checked the table and 'id' is already set to autoincrement. I'm thinking that another option is to remove the 'id' itself. Or is there another workaround for this? Please assume that it is not an option to change the givent SQL statement.
