  • Splitting a list in python

    Hi, I'm writing a parser in Python. I've converted an input string into a list of tokens, such as: ['(', '2', '.', 'x', '.', '(', '3', '-', '1', ')', '+', '4', ')', '/', '3', '.', 'x', '^', '2'] I want to be able to split the list into multiple lists, like the str.split('+') function. But there doesn't seem to be a way to do my_list.split('+'). Any ideas? Thanks!

    I have the following struct: [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential, Pack = 1)] struct cAuthLogonChallenge { byte cmd; byte error; fixed byte name[4]; public cAuthLogonChallenge() { cmd = 0x04; error = 0x00; name = ??? } } name is supposed to be a null-terminated ASCII string, and Visual Studio is rejecting all my ideas to interact with it.   • flex grid scrollbar pushing all columns to the left

    I have a flex grid where I have the verticalScrollPolicy="auto".But every time when the scrollbar appears all the columns get pushed to the left, making the columns not align as they should. I tried setting minWidth on all the columns to prevent this, but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

I was thinking of a bar, which have 10 ' | ' you can move the cursor from one to ten (it doesn't have to be AJAX because the rating is only added at the end of the form) I'm sure you already seend this king of thing but i actually can't find any plugin of it. What i need is for the application to redirect the user to the login page if the user session has expired. Please tell me as to what should be my approach to tackle this requirement. Problem Statement: If the user leaves the system for more than n minutes in any given log-in instance, the system should automatically log them off.

  • Ruby on Rails: How do you add add zeros in front of a number if it's under 10?

    I'm looking to convert single digit numbers to two-digit numbers like so: 9 ==> 09 5 ==> 05 12 == 12 4 ==> 04 I figure I could put a bunch of if-else statements (if number is under 10, then do a gsub) but figure that's horrible coding. I know Rails has number_with_precision but I see that it only applies to decimal numbers. Any ideas on how to convert single-digits to two-digits?

    I'm writing a shell for a project of mine, which by design parses commands that looks like this: COMMAND_NAME ARG1="Long Value" ARG2=123 [email protected] My problem is that Python's command line parsing libraries (getopt and optparse) forces me to use '-' or '--' in front of the arguments. This behavior doesn't match my requirements. Any ideas how can this be solved? Any existing library for this?

    I need to derive the Big-O complexity of this expression: c^n + n*(log(n))^2 + (10*n)^c where c is a constant and n is a variable. I'm pretty sure I understand how to derive the Big-O complexity of each term individually, I just don't know how the Big-O complexity changes when the terms are combined like this. Ideas?     I followed the instructions for setting up postgresql from this site All seems to go fine until I try: createuser --superuser myname -U postgres I get the following exception: createuser: could not connect to database postgres: could not connect to server: No such file or directory Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"? For the life of me I can't figure out how to resolve this. Any ideas???
