  • Mount Bluetooth USB in VirtualBox

    I originally asked this question here Python Module PyBluez Error and have narrowed it down to basically I can't get VBox to recognize my bluetooth USB. I'm on a MAC OS X 10.9.2. I've installed VirtualBox as well as the Extension Pack and I've installed Ubuntu Desktop 10.04.4 on the VirtualBox. I've searched several Mac forums and this seems to be a common problem w/o a clear solution. Anyways, the question is how can I get VirtualBox to let Ubuntu recognize my bluetooth USB? I've checked 'Enable USB 2.0 EHCI Controller' and added my two bluetooth devices to the filters list. and when I click here to mount the USB I get this error message... Any ideas? Thanks, John

    I'm relatively new to Ubuntu and I'm trying to figure out how to play DVDs. I've read through a lot of forums, and got to the one asking how to read encrypted DVDs. I was able to do the first step and installed libdvdread4, but when I got to the second step of installing libdvdcss, I got what amounted to error messages. This is the command I ran: sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh Is there something important that I should know? As in, probably something basic that I don't know because I'm new...?

    I'm studying OOP PHP and have watched two tutorials that implement user login\registration system as an example. But implementation varies. Which way will be more correct one to work with data such as this? Load all data retrieved from database as array into a property called something like _data on class creation and further methods operate with this property Create separate properties for each field retrieved from database, on class creation load all data fields into respective properties and operate with that properties separately? Then let's say I want to create a method that returns a list of all users with their data. Which way is better?     Hi I've made a small game for iPhone that I also want to run on Android but I'm having problems setting up Cocos2D-X for Android. I've downloaded and installed Android SDK and NDK (under my "/Users/username/Android"). Installed all necessary packages under SDK and created an Emulator. Copied Cocos2D-x under "/Users/username/cocos2dx". Installed Eclipse IDE with ADT Plugin. Opened "Users/username/cocos2dx/tests/build_native.sh" and changed "NDK_ROOT_LOCAL=/Users/username/Android/android-ndk", "COCOS2DX_ROOT_LOCAL=/Users/username/cocos2dx" to the values shown. On running the script using Terminal it compiles test project. What's next?

    Hi, I'm trying to do basic authentication to view a protected url. I want to access the protected url which looks like this: http://api.test.com/userinfo/vid?=1234 So I do the following with a WebView: mWebView.setHttpAuthUsernamePassword("api.test.com", "", "john", "password123"); mWebView.loadUrl("http://api.test.com/userinfo/vid?=1234"); but the authentication doesn't seem to work, I'm just getting an output error page.   • Binding to a dictionary in Silverlight with INotifyPropertyChanged

    In silverlight, I can not get INotifyPropertyChanged to work like I want it to when binding to a dictionary. In the example below, the page binds to the dictionary okay but when I change the content of one of the textboxes the CustomProperties property setter is not called. The CustomProperties property setter is only called when CustomProperties is set and not when the values within it are set. I am trying to do some validation on the dictionary values and so am looking to run some code when each value within the dictionary is changed. Is there anything I can do here?     I'm attempting to compile Arduino code in the Eclipse IDE using WinAVR and the AVR IDE plugin, and I'm running into one major stumbling block - when I try to compile the code I get the following error: /usr/bin/sh: g++: command not found make: *** [main.o] Error 127 Yeah, I bet not...I'm using Windows Vista. I have the paths to WinAVR's avr-g++ all set correctly in the preferences tab, does anyone know why it might be doing this?

    I am querying an HTML file with Linq. But it kicks the error: Unable to cast object of type 'WhereSelectEnumerableIterator2[System.Xml.Linq.XElement,System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable1[Players]]' to type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1[Players]' As you can see, I may really have no idea how to work with all these objects/classes. Does anyone have any insight on what I may be doing wrong and how I can resolve it?   • How to override PHP configuration when running in CGI mode

    There are some tutorials out there telling me how to override PHP configuration when it is running in CGI mode. But I'm still confused because lots of them assume that the server is running on Linux. While I need to do that also in Windows. My hosting is indeed using Linux but my local development computer is using Windows XP with Xampp 1.7.3. So I need to do that in my local computer first, then I want to change the configuration on hosting server. The PHP in my hosting server is already run as CGI while in my local computer still run as Apache module. At this point, the processes that I understand are: Change PHP to work in CGI mode. I did this by commenting these two line in "httpd-xampp.conf": # LoadFile "C:/xampp/php/php5ts.dll" # LoadModule php5_module modules/php5apache2_2.dll Create "cgi-bin" directory in DocumentRoot. My DocumentRoot is in "D:\www\" (I'm using apache with virtual host). So it is now "D:\www\cgi-bin". Change the default "cgi-bin" directory settings from "C:/xampp/cgi-bin/" to "D:\www\cgi-bin": ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "D:/www/cgi-bin/" <Directory "D:\www\cgi-bin"> Options MultiViews Indexes SymLinksIfOwnerMatch Includes ExecCGI AllowOverride All Allow from All </Directory> At this point, my PHP is now running as CGI. I checked this with phpinfo(). It tells me that Server API is now CGI/FastCGI. Now I want to override php configuration. I copied 'php.ini' file to "D:\www\cgi-bin" and modify upload_max_filesize setting from 128M to 10M. Create 'php.cgi' file in "D:\www\cgi-bin" and put these code inside the file: #!/bin/sh /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/php5 -c /home/user/public_html/cgi-bin/ That's it. I'm stuck at this point. All of tutorials tell me to create 'php.cgi' file and put shell code inside the file. How to do the 6th step on Windows? I know the next step is to create handler in .htaccess file to load that 'php.cgi'. And also, because I will also need to change PHP configuration on my hosting server (Linux), is the 6th step above right? Some tutorial tells to insert these line instead of above: #!/bin/sh export PHPRC=/site/ini/1 exec /cgi-bin/php5.cgi I'm sorry if my question is not clear.
