  How do you send a refresh message to a WPF grid or canvas? In other words, I have noticed while in debug mode, I can write code that sends a line to the display and then, if that line is not right, I can adjust it -- but the previous line is still there. Now, the code I am writing sends information to the display based on what the user clicks. So this must mean that the display is not refreshed each time a new set of lines and boxes and text goes to the grid or canvas in WPF. Using C# code, how do you send a refresh/repaint message to a WPF grid or canvas?

• Default login popup for web sites

  Hi. I am trying to build a web site with ASP.NET MVC, I'm new to this. My question is: how can I display the default login dialog? I am not referring to a custom dialog, like the jQuery Dialog, there is a default pop-up for credentials, which looks different depending on browser, same as with javascript alert(), but I don't know how to display it. To know what I mean, go to http://fit.c2.com/wiki.cgi?WelcomeVisitors, there is a Login button at the bottom of the page, when you click it a pop-up appears. That is what I want to display. Any ideas?

• Wired Lan problem In ubuntu 12.04

  I am new to Ubuntu I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 as partition (with dual boot) using Wubi. In that my WiFi is working fine but LAN is being detected but its not working. I have tried some of the solutions like: I opened: gksu gedit /etc/network/interfaces I added these lines to the file: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp Then I restarted the network: sudo service networking restart But still the problem persists. Why does Ubuntu 12.04 has issues with LAN when installed? any help would be appreciated

  Hi, I have a table with 58 records in mysql database. I was able to connect to my database and retrive all records and made 5 pages with links to view each pages using php script. webpage will look like this: name number john 1232343456 tony 9878768544 jack 3454562345 joe 1232343456 jane 2343454567 andy 2344560987 marcy 9873459876 sean 8374623534 mark 9898787675 nancy 8374650493 1 2 3 4 5 that's the first page of 58 records and those 5 numbers at bottom are links to each page that will display next 10 records. I got all that. but what I want to do is display the links in this way: 1-10 11-20 21-30 31-40 41-50 51-58 note: since i have 58 records, last link will display upto 58, instead of 60. Since I used the loop to create this link, depending on how many records i have, the link will change according to the number of records in my table. How can i do this? Thanks.

For example: /_blog/PunkLogic_News/tag/videos/ I would like to display 'videos' in a specific <h3 class="urltag"> on the page. /_blog/PunkLogic_News/tag/Noosa_Biosphere/ I would like to display 'Noosa Biosphere' without the underscore.   Is there a way to force a Bar Chart legend in Crystal Report 11.5 to display its objects in a particular order? For Example, say I am reporting on the consumption of "Bananas" and "Apples" by State. The Bar Chart should display the percentage of people who eat these fruits by county (Percent Bar Chart). The "Apples" percentage always displays on top of the bar chart and the "Bananas" on the bottom. The legend for this graph also displays the "Apple" color first, then the "Banana" color. However, if the "Banana" percentage is 0% the legend displays the "Banana" color first on the legend. This creates a inconsistent report (with plenty of complaints). I would like the "Banana" color to always display second in the legend. Hope I didn't confuse anyone and any ideas would be helpful.

  I need to create a code editor for my own simple language: className.MethodName(parameterName = 2, ... ) I've created the appropriate grammar and autogenerate parser using ANTLR tool. Now I would like to have an autocomplete for class, method, variables and parameter names. This list should be context dependent, f.e. for "class." it should display methods and for "class.Method(" - parameters. I was going to parse the text and display the list depending on in which node the cursor is. The problem is that for incomplete code like "aaa.bbb(" the parser produces an error instead of a syntax tree. Any idea how to solve this problem? Maybe I'm on the wrong way and I shouldn't parse code to display autocomplete?

  I'm using a PropertyGrid to display a property. For one property, I'm displaying strings in a drop-down combobox. The displayed text of the property and the value of the property are both strings, but their text is different. The displayed text is friendly, the value text corresponds to a registry key name. I've created a TypeConverter to convert between the display text and the value text, but the ConvertFrom() method appears to work correctly until I change the combo-box selection. It then sends the 'value' text instead of the display text to use during the conversion. Has anyone else used string-to-string conversion successfully?

However it is only very recently that the concept has reached some common meaning accepted by the analysts’ and the IT community. The new CX model depends on two previous facts: the expansion of the social media, and the impact of the new advanced features of mobile devices regarding brand-customer interaction. CXsers vs UXers First there is some need of disambiguity between User Experience and Customer Experience. User Experience -UX, is a much well established concept related with the design of user interactions for particular devices. UX people are interested on multiple touch points of digital interfaces while CX people are interested on all kind of interfaces including physical ones. UX is an evolution of Web Usability, while CX is a marketing concept. UX is an instrument of User Experience. CX in fact is all about Connections and Interactions. Connections Dan Draper, the creative director Mad Men, understands very well that to market effectively means to connect with people, and the best way to connect to people is to use the connections people have with other people: understanding Social Media connections and taking the customer pulse of customers on those medias, and are strong facilitators of CX strategies.  Interactions We can very simply define CX as the relationship that a customer establishes with a brand through multiple touch points (interactions, channels) through the entire life cycle of his relationship- direct or indirect with the brand. Interactions can be grouped on Customer Journeys through multiple touch points defined as the path a customer follows to achieve a goal. • Markers in Google Maps Application

  I am supposed to display a certain location using Google Maps application. I have lat/long values and tried Intent.ACTION_VIEW with "geo:lat,long?z=15" uri. The Google Maps application loads centered on the supplied lat-long value but obviously does not display any marker(overlays) pin-pointing the location. Is it possible to request the Google Maps App to display markers? Also, the zoom level paramater doesnt seem to work. Maps load at the default zoom level of 10. I can easily achieve this using MapActivity but Google Map App is what is desired. Thanks

  fontsquirrel.com allows you to upload a font and create a @font-face kit which you can apply to your website and use to display fonts which will display cross-browser (even in IE6!). But what I want to know is, is this legal? I've been supplied the font "Lubalin Graph Std" and told to use this for headers on the website I'm creating. I can upload the font file to fontsquirrel.com and use this to display headers in this font across the website - but I'm worried we'll get into trouble for doing this. What should I do?

  I have a firm understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL (and to some extent apache/linux) and find that one of the things missing from my 'web development knowledge base' is javascript - creating richer user interfaces. I'd like to learn Javascript before I look at any frameworks (I've used light javascript/jquery before, but that's besides the point). Can anyone recommend a firm book or online documentation from 'absolute beginner' to 'expert' for javascript? I seem to be finding too many 'display the time' and 'hello world' tutorials...

• Why will show() only work for fields that are hidden using inline css?

  I am hiding an element using inline css, like so: <span class="hidden-nojs" style="display:none">Some text</span> Next I use jQuery to show the element, like so: $(".hidden-nojs").show(); This works great. As soon as I remove the inline css and put display:none on the external css stylesheet for the hidden-nojs class, it stops working. This is what I wrote in the external stylesheet: .hidden-nojs { display: none; } I'm assuming that the external stylesheet loads after the jQuery has already run? This is somewhat annoying as I would like to hide multiple elements with css and would like to avoid using inline css. Why will show() only work for fields that are hidden using inline css? How can I fix this problem?
