  As announced at JavaOne, GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 4.1 is scheduled for 2014. ?Oracle is planning updates as needed to GlassFish Server Open Source Edition, which is commercially unsupported?. Oracle has announced the following updates to the GlassFish roadmap: The trunk will eventually transition to GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 5 as a Java EE 8 implementation. ?The Java EE 8 Reference Implementation will be derived from GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 5. This replicates what has been done in past Java EE and GlassFish Server releases. Oracle will no longer release future major releases of Oracle GlassFish Server with commercial support – specifically Oracle GlassFish Server 4.x with commercial Java EE 7 support will not be released.?Commercial Java EE 7 support will be provided from WebLogic Server. Oracle GlassFish Server will not be releasing a 4.x commercial version.   Oracle is committed to the future of Java EE. Java EE 7 has been released and planning for Java EE 8 has begun. • Multi-screen and Nvidia GT220

  Excuse me first for my broken English I have 3 monitors on two Nvidia GT220. Unity 2D works fine after using the proprietary drivers. But no way to use compiz effects. • Can't install GTX 680 drivers on 12.04

  I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my desktop. I have three monitors, and after installing, ubuntu only detected one at 1080p. I downloaded the driver from the nvidia website, but when I stop lightdm and try to run the driver, it gives me an error message: ERROR: Unable to find the kernel source tree for the currently running kernel. Please make sure you have installed the kernel source files for your kernel and that they are properly configured; on Red Hat Linux systems, for example, be sure you have the 'kernel-source' or 'kernel-devel' RPM installed. If you know the correct kernel source files are installed, you may specify the kernel source path with the '--kernel-source-path' command line option. I tried instead to install the driver via the terminal, with the X ppa. The installation seemed to work, but when I rebooted, my display was at 640x480 resolution, with no other options for resolution. The NVIDIA X Server settings program is there now, but when I run it, it simply tells me that I don't seem to be using their driver, and that I should run nvidia-xconfig as root. Doing so doesn't help, I simply get the same issue again. I checked the file at /etc/X11/xorg.conf, and it's an NVIDIA file (has nvidia in the header). Does anyone know something else I can try? EDIT: Forgot to mention, I tried installing drivers via the "Additional Drivers" GUI utility, there were two options, one of them marked "(post-release updates)". I tried both of them, in both cases it tried to download and install for a while, then said that there was an error, and that a description could be found at /var/log/jockey.log. Both logs were over 700 lines

• Can i create different observables and different corresponding observers in java?

  Hello everyone, Currently, I have one observable and many observers. What i need is different observables, and depending on the observable, different observers. How do I achieve this? ( For understanding, assume I have different apples - say apple1 apple2... I have observer_1 observing apple1, observer_2 observing apple2, observer_3 observing apple 2 and so on..). I tried creating different objects of the Observable class, but since observers are observing the same class of observable, I don't know how to access a particular instance of the Observable.   Hackage has several packages for monad transformers: mtl: Monad transformer library transformers: Concrete functor and monad transformers monads-fd: Monad classes, using functional dependencies monads-tf: Monad classes, using type families monadLib: A collection of monad transformers. mtl-tf: Monad transformer library using type families mmtl: Modular Monad transformer library mtlx: Monad transformer library with type indexes, providing 'free' copies. compose-trans: Composable monad transformers (and maybe I missed some) Which one shall we use? mtl is the one in the Haskell Platform, but I keep hearing on reddit that it's uncool. But what's bad about choice anyway, isn't it just a good thing? • UnicodeDecodeError on attempt to save file through django default filebased backend

  When i attempt to add a file with russian symbols in name to the model instance through default instance.file_field.save method, i get an UnicodeDecodeError (ascii decoding error, not in range (128) from the storage backend (stacktrace ended on os.exist). If i write this file through default python file open/write all goes right. All filenames in utf-8.   Hello, I'm pretty new to Qt, Python and their combinations. I'm currently writing a QGIS plugin in python (I used QtCreator 2.1 (Qt Designer 4.7) to generate a .ui-file and am now trying to use it for a Quantum GIS plugin that's written in Python 2.5 (and running in the Quantum GIS Python 2.5 console)). I am running into trouble when loading the ui-file dynamically when the program runs the loadUi() function. What throws me off is that the error occurs outside my script. Does that mean, I'm passing something wrong into it? Where does the error come in?
