I'm moving to Mercurial or Git very soon for my web software, and sometimes my branches require significant database changes which other branches should not see. This, I can't always share the same database for my branches. Is there some standard way of dealing with database changes for branching and cloning? What do you all do? I'm using MySQL.

    I want to implement the payment gateway like functionality in my iphone application other than In-App Purchase feature provided by Apple. So, i have one Question regarding the application approval on Appstore that, if i will redirect user to the UIwebview for payment related functionality, then apple will reject this application for not following the human interface guideline or it will allow this. Other way i can do it by calling web-service for the transaction of money. So, again there is any chance of app rejection on AppStore. Please share your thought on this

Have the super class create all the header component and open the components to the sub class, the sub class will access to component's setText method to update the text? or Have abstract method in super class to create the components, sub class will implement these methods to create the component.     Hi, I just came across an issue, where I had to check if a path points into a windows share. Part of this problem is to check if host A is the same as host B. Where host A and host B can be one of the following {IPv4-Address, IPv6-Address, Hostname, FQDN}. As I do not need to be exact it's enough to resolve and compare the IP-Addresses in my case. But is there, theoretically, a method to check if the hosts are the same?

    I have two servers - one Django, the other likely to be written in Python - and one is putting 'tasks' into a database and another is processing these tasks. They share a database, but I want the processor to react quickly to new tasks rather than polling periodically. Are there any straightforward ways for two Python servers to talk to one another, or does the task processor have to have web-hooks or something? It feels there ought to be a blessed way to do this...

    assume that i start coding an application from scratch, is the best way to create tables when using Doctrine, to manually create tables in mysql and then generate models from the tables, or is it the other way around, that is to create the models in php and then generate tables from models? and if i already have a database, will the models created be optimal? cause i have heard some say that its best to create the database from scratch when using ORM, so that the relations are optimized for OOD. share your thoughts!
