  • Importing Variables from PHP 4 into Flash

    - by Glenn
    I'm trying to get variable importing from a PHP script before I implement it into a larger project. So far all I've gotten is headaches. //this is all thats in test.php other than the open and close brackets. Normally I'd have it doing a mysql_query and putting useful information into the print statement. print( "lamegame.net/test/test.php?val=foo&id=0000&name=Glenn"); All test.as has to do is access the three variables. The problem comes in that 'val' is undefined. The id and name variables however are just fine and return 0000 and Glenn respectively. package { import flash.display.MovieClip; import flash.text.TextField; import flash.events.; import flash.net.; public class test extends MovieClip { public function test() { super(); //prep request var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("test.php"); request.method = URLRequestMethod.GET; var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); //load request loader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.VARIABLES; loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, dataLoaded); loader.load(request); } public function dataLoaded(e:Event):void { var name = e.target.data.name; var id = e.target.data.id; var val = e.target.data.val; trace("Val: " + val + "ID: " + id + " Name: " + name); } } }

  • django create user and log them in

    - by Scott Willman
    In a view I'm trying to create a new user and then log them in but result in a new url on success. def create(request): if request.method == "POST": # do user creation # user.save() auth_user = authenticate(username=user.username,password=user.password) if auth_user is not None: login(request, auth_user) return HttpResponseRedirect('/user/account/') return render_to_response('create_form.html') So, how do I maintain the user object using the HttpResponseRedirect or validate the logged in user in an unassociated view?

  • IRequest / IResponse Pattern

    - by traderde
    I am trying to create an Interface-based Request/Response pattern for Web API requests to allow for asynchronous consumer/producer processing, but not sure how I would know what the underlying IResponse class is. public void Run() { List<IRequest> requests = new List<IRequest>(); List<IResponse> responses = new List<IResponse(); requests.Add(AmazonWebRequest); //should be object, trying to keep it simple requests.Add(EBayWebRequest); //should be object, trying to keep it simple foreach (IRequest req in requests) { responses.Add(req.GetResponse()); } foreach (IResponse resp in response) { typeof resp???? } } interface IRequest { IResponse GetResponse(); } interface IResponse { } public class AmazonWebServiceRequest : IRequest { public AmazonWebServiceRequest() { //get data; } public IResponse GetResponse() { AmazonWebServiceRequest request = new AmazonWebServiceRequest(); return (IResponse)request; } } public class AmazonWebServiceResponse : IResponse { XmlDocument _xml; public AmazonWebServiceResponse(XmlDocument xml) { _xml = xml; _parseXml(); } private void _parseXml() { //parse Xml into object; } } public class EBayWebRequest : IRequest { public EBayWebRequest () { //get data; } public IResponse GetResponse() { EBayWebRequest request = new EBayWebRequest(); return (IResponse)request; } } public class EBayWebResponse : IResponse { XmlDocument _xml; public EBayWebResponse(XmlDocument xml) { _xml = xml; _parseXml(); } private void _parseXml() { //parse Xml into object; } }

  • Asp.net HttpWebResponse - how can I not depend on WebException for flow control?

    - by Campos
    I need to check whether the request will return a 500 Server Internal Error or not (so getting the error is expected). I'm doing this: HttpWebRequest request = WebRequest.Create(url) as HttpWebRequest; request.Method = "GET"; HttpWebResponse response = request.GetResponse() as HttpWebResponse; if (response.StatusCode == HttpStatusCode.OK) return true; else return false; But when I get the 500 Internal Server Error, a WebException is thrown, and I don't want to depend on it to control the application flow - how can this be done?

  • Restful authentication between two GAE apps.

    - by user259349
    Hello everyone, i am trying to write a restful google app engine application (python) that accepts requests only from another GAE that i wrote. I dont like any of the ways that i thought of to get this done, please advice if you know of something better than: Get SSL setup, and simply add the credentials on the request that my consuming app will send. I dont like it cause SSL will slow things down. Security by obsecurity. Add a random number in my request that is in Xmod0, where X is a secret number that both applications know. I just,,,, dont like this. Check the HTTP header to see where is the request coming from. This option is the one that i hate the least, not alot of processing, and spoofing an HTTP request is not really worth it, for my application's data. Is there any other clean solution for this?

  • Parsing SOAP XML in Oracle

    - by user258587
    Hi I am new to Oracle and I am working on something that needs to parse a SOAP request and save the address to DB Tables. I am using the XML parser in Oracle (XMLType) with XPath but am struggling since I can't figure out the way to parse the SOAP request because it has multiple namespaces. Could anyone give me an example? Thanks in advance!!! edit It would be a typical SOAP request similar to the one below. <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:soap="http://soap.service.****.com"> <soapenv:Header /> <soapenv:Body> <soap:UpdateElem> <soap:request> <soap:att1>123456789</soap:att1> <soap:att2 xsi:nil="true" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" /> <soap:att3>L</soap:att3> ..... </soap:request> </soap:UpdateElem> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> I need to retrieve parameters att1, att2... and save them in to a DB table.

  • Flush separate Castle ActiveRecord Transaction, and refresh object in another Transaction

    - by eanticev
    I've got all of my ASP.NET requests wrapped in a Session and a Transaction that gets commited only at the very end of the request. At some point during execution of the request, I would like to insert an object and make it visible to other potential threads - i.e. split the insertion into a new transaction, commit that transaction, and move on. The reason is that the request in question hits an API that then chain hits another one of my pages (near-synchronously) to let me know that it processed, and thus double submits a transaction record, because the original request had not yet finished, and thus not committed the transaction record. So I've tried wrapping the insertion code with a new SessionScope, TransactionScope(TransactionMode.New), combination of both, flushing everything manually, etc. However, when I call Refresh on the object I'm still getting the old object state. Here's some code sample for what I'm seeing: Post outsidePost = Post.Find(id); // status of this post is Status.Old using (TransactionScope transaction = new TransactionScope(TransactionMode.New)) { Post p = Post.Find(id); p.Status = Status.New; // new status set here p.Update(); SessionScope.Current.Flush(); transaction.Flush(); transaction.VoteCommit(); } outsidePost.Refresh(); // refresh doesn't get the new status, status is still Status.Old Any suggestions, ideas, and comments are appreciated!

  • django 'if' statement improperly formatted

    - by Zayatzz
    Im getting strangest error in django so far: 'if' statement improperly formatted Template that raises the error is this: {% if diff >= 0 %} <span class="pos">+{{ diff }} {% else %} <span class="neg">-{{ diff }} {% endif %} </span> <span>{{ a }}</span> view that has a and diff in context is this: def add(request, kaart_id): if request.is_ajax() and request.method == 'POST': x = Kaart.objects.get(id=kaart_id) x.pos += 1 x.save x = Kaart.objects.get(id=kaart_id) from django.utils import simplejson diff = x.pos - x.neg a = "(+1)" context = { 'diff':diff, 'a':a } return render_to_response('sum.html', context, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) It does not matter what equation i use in if, , =, ==.. they all raise the same error. and as far as i can tell its all by the book: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/templates/builtins/#id5 Alan.

  • jquery addresses and live method

When clicking on links in a main nav, the url is updated properly, but when links are loaded dynamically with ajax, the url address function breaks. I have made 'click' events live, allowing for content to be loaded via dynamically loaded links, but I can't seem to make the address event listener live, but this seems to be the only way to make this work. Is my syntax wrong if I change this : $.address.change(function(event) { to this: $.address.live('change', function(event) { or does the live method not work with this plugin?

  • Apache on linux and i18n : spawning processes or threads ?

    - by Jerome WAGNER
    Hello, I would like to understand better exactly what is going on when Apache on linux receive an HTTP request in a process pre-fork model. Let's say we have 20 Apache child processes waiting. When I receive an HTTP request, is it true to say that 1 child process will be chosen to handle the request and that this process won't handle another request from another user until the first one is finished ? I am asking the question because of a PHP limitation that states : The locale information is maintained per process, not per thread. If you are running PHP on a multithreaded server API like IIS or Apache on Windows, you may experience sudden changes in locale settings while a script is running, though the script itself never called setlocale(). This happens due to other scripts running in different threads of the same process at the same time, changing the process-wide locale using setlocale(). Thanks Jerome Wagner

  • Django "login() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given)" error

  • Passing Custom headers from .Net 1.1 client to a WCF service

    - by sreejith
    I have a simple wcf service which uses basicHttp binding, I want to pass few information from client to this service via custom SOAP header. My client is a .net application targetting .Net 1.1, using visual studio I have created the proxy( Added a new web reference pointing to my WCF service) I am able to call methods in the WCF service but not able to pass the data in message header. Tried to override "GetWebRequest" and added custom headers in the proxy but for some reason when I tried to access the header using "OperationContext.Current.IncomingMessageHeaders.FindHeader" it is not thier. Any idea how to solve this prob? This is how I added the headers protected override System.Net.WebRequest GetWebRequest(Uri uri) { HttpWebRequest request; request = (HttpWebRequest)base.GetWebRequest(uri); request.Headers.Add("tesData", "test"); return request; }

  • Loading XML from Web Service

    - by Lukasz
    I am connecting to a web service to get some data back out as xml. The connection works fine and it returns the xml data from the service. var remoteURL = EveApiUrl; var postData = string.Format("userID={0}&apikey={1}&characterID={2}", UserId, ApiKey, CharacterId); var request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(remoteURL); request.Method = "POST"; request.ContentLength = postData.Length; request.ContentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"; // Setup a stream to write the HTTP "POST" data var WebEncoding = new ASCIIEncoding(); var byte1 = WebEncoding.GetBytes(postData); var newStream = request.GetRequestStream(); newStream.Write(byte1, 0, byte1.Length); newStream.Close(); var response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse(); var receiveStream = response.GetResponseStream(); var readStream = new StreamReader(receiveStream, Encoding.UTF8); var webdata = readStream.ReadToEnd(); Console.WriteLine(webdata); This prints out the xml that comes from the service. I can also save the xml as an xml file like so; TextWriter writer = new StreamWriter(@"C:\Projects\TrainingSkills.xml"); writer.WriteLine(webdata); writer.Close(); Now I can load the file as an XDocument to perform queries on it like this; var data = XDocument.Load(@"C:\Projects\TrainingSkills.xml"); What my problem is that I don't want to save the file and then load it back again. When I try to load directly from the stream I get an exception, Illegal characters in path. I don't know what is going on, if I can load the same xml as a text file why can't I load it as a stream. The xml is like this; <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <eveapi version="2"> <currentTime>2010-04-28 17:58:27</currentTime> <result> <currentTQTime offset="1">2010-04-28 17:58:28</currentTQTime> <trainingEndTime>2010-04-29 02:48:59</trainingEndTime> <trainingStartTime>2010-04-28 00:56:42</trainingStartTime> <trainingTypeID>3386</trainingTypeID> <trainingStartSP>8000</trainingStartSP> <trainingDestinationSP>45255</trainingDestinationSP> <trainingToLevel>4</trainingToLevel> <skillInTraining>1</skillInTraining> </result> <cachedUntil>2010-04-28 18:58:27</cachedUntil> </eveapi> Thanks for your help!

  • Multiple Mod_ReWrites on one site - Possible? (Wordpress blog in root directory, CodeIgniter project

    - by Sootah
    Currently I am creating a project with CodeIgniter that is contained within a subdirectory of my domain. For this example we'll call it domain.com/test. I also have Wordpress installed on this domain, and all of its files are in the root. For instance, if you navigate to my domain.com then it pulls up the Wordpress blog. I currently have the Wordpress mod_rewrite activated so that it uses friendly-URLs. For those of you that aren't familiar with CodeIgniter, all requests are routed through index.php in the project's root folder. So, in this case, it'd be domain.com/text/index.php. A request to the application would be sent like domain.com/test/index.php/somecontroller/method. What I'd like to do, is for any incoming request that is directed towards the /test/ folder, or some subdirectory therein I'd like it to appropriately rewrite the URL so the index.php isn't included. (As per the example above, it'd end up being domain.com/test/somecontroller/method) For any OTHER request, meaning anything that's not within the /test/ directory, I would like it to route the request to Wordpress. I would imagine it's a simple RewriteCond to make it check to see if the request is for the /test/ directory or a subdirectory therein, but I've no idea how to do it. Perhaps you can't have more than one set of Rewrite Rules per site. I will include the recommended mod_rewrite rules for each application. Wordpress: (Currently used) <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> CodeIgniter: (Pulled from their Wiki) <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / #Removes access to the system folder by users. #Additionally this will allow you to create a System.php controller, #previously this would not have been possible. #'system' can be replaced if you have renamed your system folder. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^system.* RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L] #When your application folder isn't in the system folder #This snippet prevents user access to the application folder #Submitted by: Fabdrol #Rename 'application' to your applications folder name. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^application.* RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L] #Checks to see if the user is attempting to access a valid file, #such as an image or css document, if this isn't true it sends the #request to index.php RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L] </IfModule> <IfModule !mod_rewrite.c> # If we don't have mod_rewrite installed, all 404's # can be sent to index.php, and everything works as normal. # Submitted by: ElliotHaughin ErrorDocument 404 /index.php </IfModule> Any and all help is much appreciated!! • Review Board workflow for Mercurial repository

    - by pachanga
    At my company we are trying to add code reviewing practices into our development process and for that purpose we decided to use Review Board. While Review Board should work out of the box for Subversion the workflow for Mercurial looks a little bit involved. Firstly it seems that only post reviewing(via post-review script) is supported for this type of repo. Secondly documentation is unclear whether post-review actually supports Mercurial(it only mentions git). Could you folks describe your workflow in detail please? Am I right in my thinking it should be something like this: Developer: clone master repo clone feature repo from local master repo hack-hack in feature repo commit into feature repo somehow run post-review from feature repo against parent master repo Reviewer: review diff if OK then pull to the master repo from the feature repo

  • Grails Liferay portlet not invoking action

    - by RJ Regenold
    I am trying to create a simple portlet for Liferay 5.2.2 using Grails 1.2.1 with the grails-portlets 0.7 and grails-portlets-liferay 0.2 plugins. I created and deployed a stock portlet (just updated title, description, etc...). It deploys correctly and the view renders correctly. However, when I submit the default form that is in view.gsp it never hits the actionView function. Here are the relevant code bits: SearchPortlet.groovy class SearchPortlet { def title = 'Search' def description = ''' A simple search portlet. ''' def displayName = 'Search' def supports = ['text/html':['view', 'edit', 'help']] // Liferay server specific configurations def liferay_display_category = 'Category' def actionView = { println "In action view" } def renderView = { println "In render view" //TODO Define render phase. Return the map of the variables bound to the view ['mykey':'myvalue'] } ... } view.gsp <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/portlet" prefix="portlet" %> <div> <h1>View Page</h1> The map returned by renderView is passed in. Value of mykey: ${mykey} <form action="${portletResponse.createActionURL()}"> <input type="submit" value="Submit"/> </form> </div> The tomcat terminal prints In render view whenever I view the portlet, and after I press the submit button. It never prints the In action view statement. Any ideas? Update I turned on logging and this is what I see whenever I click the submit button in the portlet: [localhost].[/gportlet] - servletPath=/Search, pathInfo=/invoke, queryString=null, name=null [localhost].[/gportlet] - Path Based Include portlets.GrailsDispatcherPortlet - DispatcherPortlet with name 'Search' received render request portlets.GrailsDispatcherPortlet - Bound render request context to thread: com.liferay.portlet.RenderRequestImpl@7a158e portlets.GrailsDispatcherPortlet - Testing handler map [org.codehaus.grails.portlets.GrailsPortletHandlerMapping@1f06283] in DispatcherPortlet with name 'Search' portlets.GrailsDispatcherPortlet - Testing handler adapter [org.codehaus.grails.portlets.GrailsPortletHandlerAdapter@74f72b] portlets.GrailsPortletHandlerAdapter - portlet.handleMinimised not set, proceeding with normal render portlet.SearchPortlet - In render view portlets.GrailsPortletHandlerAdapter - Couldn't resolve action view /search/null.gsp portlets.GrailsPortletHandlerAdapter - Trying to render mode view /search/view.gsp portlets.GrailsDispatcherPortlet - Setting portlet response content type to view-determined type [text/html;charset=ISO-8859-1] [localhost].[/gportlet] - servletPath=/WEB-INF/servlet/view, pathInfo=null, queryString=null, name=null [localhost].[/gportlet] - Path Based Include portlets.GrailsDispatcherPortlet - Cleared thread-bound render request context: com.liferay.portlet.RenderRequestImpl@7a158e portlets.GrailsDispatcherPortlet - Successfully completed request The fourth line in that log snippet says Bound render request..., which I don't understand because the action in the form that is in the portlet is to the action url. I would've thought that should be an action request.

  • WYSIHAT 'resonds_to_parent" undefined method - Ruby on Rails

    I just successfully installed WysiHat in my rails blog. Seems that the 'add a picture' feature is not working. It successfully allows me to find and select a picture from my desktop but upon clicking save, it does nothing. I also have Paperclip successfully installed and can attach images to records outside the WYSIHAT form field. Any ideas? (let me know if I need to post any code). • First Letter Section Headers with Core Data

    - by Cory Imdieke
    I'm trying to create a list of people sorted in a tableView of sections with the first letter as the title for each section - a la Address Book. I've got it all working, though there is a bit of an issue with the sort order. Here is the way I'm doing it now: NSFetchRequest *request = [[NSFetchRequest alloc] init]; [request setEntity:[NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Contact" inManagedObjectContext:context]]; NSSortDescriptor *fullName = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"fullName" ascending:YES]; NSArray *sortDescriptors = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:fullName, nil]; [request setSortDescriptors:sortDescriptors]; [fullName release]; [sortDescriptors release]; NSError *error = nil; [resultController release]; resultController = [[NSFetchedResultsController alloc] initWithFetchRequest:request managedObjectContext:context sectionNameKeyPath:@"firstLetter" cacheName:nil]; [resultController performFetch:&error]; [request release]; fullName is a standard property, and firstLetter is a transient property which returns - as you'd expect - the first letter of the fullName. 95% of the time, this works perfectly. The problem is the result controller expects these two "lists" (the sorted fullName list and the sorted firstLetter list) to match exactly. If I have 2 contacts like John and Jack, my fullName list would sort these as Jack, John every time but my firstLetter list might sort them as John, Jack sometimes as it's only sorting by the first letter and leaving the rest to chance. When these lists don't match up, I get a blank tableView with 0 items in it. I'm not really sure how I should go about fixing this issue, but it's very frustrating. Has anyone else run into this? What did you guys find out?

  • Django, ModelForms, User and UserProfile - not hashing password

    - by IvanBernat
    I'm trying to setup a User - UserProfile relationship, display the form and save the data. When submitted, the data is saved, except the password field doesn't get hashed. Additionally, how can I remove the help_text from the username and password (inherited from the User model)? Full code is below, excuse me if it's too long. Models.py USER_IS_CHOICES = ( ('u', 'Choice A'), ('p', 'Choice B'), ('n', 'Ninja'), ) class UserProfile(models.Model): user = models.ForeignKey(User, unique=True) user_is = models.CharField(max_length=1, choices=USER_IS_CHOICES) Forms.py class UserForm(forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = User fields = ["first_name", "last_name", "username", "email", "password"] def clean_username(self): username = self.cleaned_data['username'] if not re.search(r'^\w+$', username): raise forms.ValidationError('Username can contain only alphanumeric characters') try: User.objects.get(username=username) except ObjectDoesNotExist: return username raise forms.ValidationError('Username is already taken') class UserProfileForm(forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = UserProfile fields = ['user_is'] Views.py if request.method == 'POST': uform = UserForm(request.POST) pform = UserProfileForm(request.POST) if uform.is_valid() and pform.is_valid(): user = uform.save() profile = pform.save(commit = False) profile.user = user profile.save() return HttpResponseRedirect('/') else: uform = UserForm() pform = UserProfileForm() variables = RequestContext(request, { 'uform':uform, 'pform':pform }) return render_to_response('registration/register.html', variables)

  • What could cause this difference in behaviour from iphone OS3.0 to iOS4.0?

    - by frankodwyer
    I am getting a strange EXC_BAD_ACCESS error when running my app on iOS4. The app has been pretty solid on OS3.x for some time - not even seeing crash logs in this area of the code (or many at all) in the wild. I've tracked the error down to this code: main class: - (void) sendPost:(PostRequest*)request { NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; NSURLResponse* response; NSError* error; NSData *serverReply = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:request.request returningResponse:&response error:&error]; ServerResponse* serverResponse=[[ServerResponse alloc] initWithResponse:response error:error data:serverReply]; [request.objectToNotifyWhenDone performSelectorOnMainThread:request.targetToNotifyWhenDone withObject:serverResponse waitUntilDone:YES]; [pool drain]; } (Note: sendPost is run on a separate thread for each invocation of it. PostRequest is just a class to encapsulate a request and a selector to notify when complete) ServerResponse.m: @synthesize response; @synthesize replyString; @synthesize error; @synthesize plist; - (ServerResponse*) initWithResponse:(NSURLResponse*)resp error:(NSError*)err data:(NSData*)serverReply { self.response=resp; self.error=err; self.plist=nil; self.replyString=nil; if (serverReply) { self.replyString = [[[NSString alloc] initWithBytes:[serverReply bytes] length:[serverReply length] encoding: NSASCIIStringEncoding] autorelease]; NSPropertyListFormat format; NSString *errorStr; plist = [NSPropertyListSerialization propertyListFromData:serverReply mutabilityOption:NSPropertyListImmutable format:&format errorDescription:&errorStr]; } return self; } ServerResponse.h: @property (nonatomic, retain) NSURLResponse* response; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSString* replyString; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSError* error; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSDictionary* plist; - (ServerResponse*) initWithResponse:(NSURLResponse*)response error:(NSError*)error data:(NSData*)serverReply; This reliably crashes with a bad access in the line: self.error=err; ...i.e. in the synthesized property setter! I'm stumped as to why this should be, given the code worked on the previous OS and hasn't changed since (even the binary compiled with the previous SDK crashes the same way, but not on OS3.0) - and given it is a simple property method. Any ideas? Could the NSError implementation have changed between releases or am I missing something obvious?

  • SKProductsRequest delegate methods are never called.

    - by coneybeare
    This used to work for me but is now not working anymore and I can't figure out why. I have in-app purchase setup in my app. I confirmed that I have a correct set of product identifiers, matched by corresponding in-app purchase items in itunesconnect. The call goes out to Apple view [productRequest start], but I never get a response back, despite setting the delegate to myself. What am I missing? NSLog(@"productIdentifiersSet: %@", productIdentifiersSet); if ([productIdentifiersSet count]) { SKProductsRequest *productRequest = [[SKProductsRequest alloc] initWithProductIdentifiers:productIdentifiersSet]; [productRequest setDelegate:self]; [productRequest start]; } ……… - (void)productsRequest:(SKProductsRequest *)request didReceiveResponse:(SKProductsResponse *)response { <never called> } - (void)requestDidFinish:(SKRequest *)request { <never called> } - (void)request:(SKRequest *)request didFailWithError:(NSError *)error { <never called> }

  • ASIHTTPRequest on www.blau.de?

    - by rdesign
    Hey guys, I need to login here. I've tried the ASIHTTPRequest and ASIFormDataRequest. None of them works as expected. I only got the data from the loginpage in the response string, not the data from the secure area. What am I doing wrong here? ASIFormDataRequest *request = [ASIFormDataRequest requestWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"https://www.blau.de/"]]; [request setPostValue:@"USERNAME" forKey:@"quickLoginNumber"]; [request setPostValue:@"PASSWORD" forKey:@"quickLoginPassword"]; [request startAsynchronous];

  • Measuring Web Page Performance on Client vs. Server

    - by Yaakov Ellis
    I am working with a web page (ASP.net 3.5) that is very complicated and in certain circumstances has major performance issues. It uses Ajax (through the Telerik AjaxManager) for most of its functionality. I would like to be able to measure in some way the amounts of time for the following, for each request: On client submitting request to server Client-to-Server On server initializing request On server processing request Server-to-Client Client rendering, JavaScript processing I have monitored the database traffic and cannot find any obvious culprit. On the other hand, I have a suspicion that some of the Ajax interactions are causing performance issues. However, until I have a way to track the times involved, make a baseline measurement, and measure performance as I tweak, it will be hard to work on the issue. So what is the best way to measure all of these? Is there one tool that can do it? Combination of FireBug and logging inserted into different places in the page life-cycle?
