    I'm using GLUT (freeglut3) (via the Haskell GLUT bindings). import Graphics.UI.GLUT handleKBMouse :: KeyboardMouseCallback handleKBMouse key keyState mods mousePos = do print (key, keyState, mods, mousePos) main :: IO () main = do getArgsAndInitialize createWindow "testTitle" keyboardMouseCallback $= Just handleKBMouse mainLoop It seems that various important keys (e.g: Shift+Tab) do not call my callback. Also, "mods" doesn't describe the win-key, only Ctrl, Shift and Alt. Having such limited access to keyboard input is a serious impediment for real application development. Am I doing anything wrong here or is just freeglut just crippled? Is GLUT crippled in general?

  • Python UTF-8 can't decode byte on 32-bit machine

    it works fine on 64 bit machines but for some reason will not work on python 2.4.3 on a 32-bit instance. i get the error 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 76-79: invalid data for the code try: str(sourceresult.sourcename).encode('utf8','replace') except: raise Exception( repr(sourceresult.sourcename ) ) it returns 'kazamidori blog\xf9' i have modified my site.py file to make UTF8 the default encoding, but still doesnt seem to be working.

What I want to do is to replace the if elseif else section of codes by a function that performs the same action. NOTE I really want to pass ONLY the value of $myValues['values'][$elem]['xx'] inside my function and return the changed value of $myValues['values'][$elem]['yy']. Can anybody help me with this? During some of the tests I wire up the web project's registry, so that I can get objects out of the container for testing. In one case I want to be able to replace a default concrete type from the web registry with one in the test registry. Is this possible? How do you do it?

    Hi, Written some code in my view function : This code reads a file from server . stores it in a list .passes to client def showfiledata(request): f = open("/home/tazim/webexample/test.txt") list = f.readlines() return_dict = {'list':list} json = simplejson.dumps(list) return HttpResponse(json,mimetype="application/json") On, client side the $.ajax callback function receives this list of lines. Now, My Question is . I have to display these lines in a textarea. But these lines should not be displayed at once . Each line should be appended in textarea with some delay. (Use of setInterval is required as per my knowledge) . Also I am using jquery in my templates. The server used is Django . Please provide some solution as in some sample code will be quite helpful .

    I'm using sqlite for the persistent store, so could I just upload the .sqlite file to, for example, Amazon S3 as a way of providing users with the ability to backup their app data? Then for restoring just download it back and replace the existing .sqlite file in the app's folder. Does anybody see any issues with that? Has anyone done it? Any other suggestions on how to implement data backup feature?

  • Sharepoint connected web parts question

    I have one web part (the provider) which displays insurance claims in a gridview. When user clicks on one this value(case number) is passed via IWebPartField interface to another web part(consumer) which displays detailed info about the claim. So far so good. I can select different claims in the provider and the details show up in the consumer just fine. The moment I add a TextBox to the consumer, the consumer no longer recognizes the case number passed. I need the user to be able to enter a value in the textbox and click a button to update that claim info. I can debug and attach to process and it looks like it is getting the case in the callback function, etc, but when it is setting parameters for the stored proc in CreateChildControls, it is null. Comment out the TextBox and it works fine. Any clues as to what is going on? Brand new to Sharepoint web parts...any help appreciated! thanks, PhilJ

  • TreeView Control unexpected event behavior

    Hi all, In the MSDN is writen about TreeNode that: "By default, a node is in selection mode." "To put a node into selection mode, set the node's NavigateUrl property to an empty string." "When a node is in selection mode, use the SelectAction property to specify which event or events are raised when a node is selected." "Setting TreeNodeSelectAction value TreeNodeSelectAction.Select Raises the SelectedNodeChanged event when a node is selected." Please see TreeNode Here is the problem and possibly a bug in the control: When I set the TreeNode object PopulateOnDemand value to true and call the Collapse() function on that node. Then the TreeNodeExpanded event is raised in addition to the SelectedNodeChanged event. This is in complate contradiction to what is writen in the MSDN. According to the MSDN this sould happen only if TreeNodeSelectAction Property is set to TreeNodeSelectAction.SelectExpand value. Does some know whats the cause for that? From the docs, I thought it was a list of tuples, which I thought would make it accessible via lists:keyfind, but I've had no luck. So far, all the examples I've found only show how to print everything with io_lib but not how to access the values by key...   • JQuery UI Tabs widget error handling

    When an ajax request fails, the JQuery UI Tabs widget stops responding and the "Loading..." spinner remains on the tab that caused the error. I can get the ajax callback to give me some sort of alert message like so: $('#localtabs > ul').tabs({ ajaxOptions: { success: tabLoadSuccessCallback, error: tabLoadFailureCallback} }); function tabLoadSuccessCallback(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert("Yay!");} function tabLoadFailureCallback(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert("Could not get search results.");} But what I'd really like is to be able to display a message within the panel, cancel the spinner, and disable the tab that caused the problem while leaving the rest of the tabs operational. Does anyone have any ideas for how to do this?

  • SQL Server 2008 - Query takes forever to finish even though work is actually done

    Running the following simple query in SSMS: UPDATE tblEntityAddress SET strPostCode= REPLACE(strPostCode,' ','') The update to the data (at least in memory) is complete in under a minute. I verified this by performing another query with transaction isolation level read uncommitted. The update query, however, continues to run for another 30 minutes. What is the issue here? Is this caused by a delay to write to disk? TIA

    I'm trying to use CFBundleDocumentTypes to associate a custom file extension with my application. As far as I can tell, this seems to "work" -- my application launches when I double click the file. However, no callback is registered through the ApplicationListener events I setup in java. I used the code listed in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1460193/set-default-file-association-mac-os-x-java-package-maker-installer to do the file association, and the file association itself appears fine, but it seems as if it is the application stub trying to launch the file, and thus fails. I added the Apple ApplicatinListener code to my java application at (similar to http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Java/Reference/1.5.0/appledoc/api/index.html?com/apple/eawt/Application.html) but it doesn't seem like my application ever gets a call back. the code is similar to Application.getApplicatin().addApplicationListener( new ApplicationAdapter() { public void handleOpenFile(ApplicationEvent evt) { //some logging message here that I never get} }); Any help would be appreciated
