  • Programatically importing a file and creating an instance of a class in Python

    I have a (python) list of strings which refer to python source files and subsequently classes within those files which I want to import and then create an instance of the classes within the files (everything follows a strict naming convention, making this theoretically possible), in Ruby I would do something like: require "lib/sources/#{source}.rb" s = source.constantize.new How would I do something similar in Python?     I'm going to be switching back and forth between Ruby on Rails projects and some as-of-yet undecided PHP MVC framework projects. Which of the PHP MVC frameworks out there (CakePHP, CodeIgniter?, others?) is most similar to Ruby on Rails in that the most conventions, locations, workflows, etc are preserved? I'm looking for the similarity in the way things are done such as directory structures, conventions, etc, not a pros vs cons in speed, extra features, etc.

    This is too basic I think, but how do both of these work? return true; // 1 and return (true); // 2 Similar: sizeof, exit My guess: If return was a function, 1 would be erroneous. So, return should be a unary operator that can also take in brackets... pretty much like unary minus: -5 and -(5), both are okay. Is that what it is - a unary operator?

  • How do I find the install directory of a Windows Service, using C#?

    I'm pretty sure that a Windows service gets C:\winnt (or similar) as its working directory when installed using InstallUtil.exe. Is there any way I can access, or otherwise capture (at install time), the directory from which the service was originally installed? At the moment I'm manually entering that into the app.exe.config file, but that's horribly manual and feels like a hack. Is there a programmatic way, either at run time or install time, to determine where the service was installed from?

  • upload a image and insert directly into CKEditor

    I'd like to create the same kind of function tumblr has for uploading images and then inserting them directly into the WYSIWYG editor. I was planning on using uploadify to upload the image, then I am not sure of the method for inserting into the CKEditor. Has anyone done anything similar or know of a plugin that could do this? Ideally I'd like it to insert the image wherever the text cursor was last placed. Thanks in advance, Tim

  • Easy way to convert c code to assembly?

    Is there an easy way (like a free program) that can covert c/c++ code to x86 assembly? I know that any c compiler does something very similar and that I can just compile the c code and then disassemble the complied executable, but that's kind of an overkill, all I want is to convert a few lines of code. Does anyone know of some program that can do that?

What i want is something similar to pages that have the arrows next to each row and the user can click up if they want that row to go up.     I have a product table where the description column is fulltext indexed. The problem is, users frequently search a single word, which happens to be in the noiseXXX.txt files. We'd like to keep the noise word functionality enabled, but is there anyway to turn it off just for this one column? I think you can do this in 2008 with the SET STOPLIST=OFF, but I can't seem to find similar functionality in SQL Server 2005.
