  • Set Round Border of an android TextView already having a background color

    I want a TextView to have a rounded border. This can be done by using a drawable, specifying a shape in the drawable, and then using the drawable as the background of the TextView. android:background="@layout/border" Also shown here However, my TextView already has a background color (which is gray) and thus I'm unable to use the above method to set a rounded border. Is there any other method to do this which allows the background color of the TextView to remain gray and also surrounds it with a rounded border?

  • XCode: Function argument indentation

    I was unable to find any solution of my specific issue. I'm using Xcode 3.2. I'd like to indent the next line of function argument just one step in from the previous line: somevariable = pow( a, b); However, Xcode's syntax-aware indenting insists on converting the above into: somevariable = pow( a, b); Where the arguments are aligned with opening parenthesis of the function. How can I make indenting be configured to match my preference?

    Hi I have an SMS Appliaction, which receives the messages through GPS Modem and revert back through GPS Modem. The Modem is using COM1. Now, i need two more appliactions which can send messages through the same GPS Modem. I tried making a webservice which can access the COM1 to send data, but when i try to connect through webService, it throw an error saying, 'COM1 is already occupied, Access denied.'. In the above example function c should fail. I could just include it in function b, but in the future I may want to let a() be called by some new functions (e.g. d() or e())

    I am trying to index a numpy.array with varying dimensions during runtime. To retrieve e.g. the first row of a n*m array a, you can simply do a[0,:] However, in case a happens to be a 1xn vector, this code above returns an index error: IndexError: too many indices As the code needs to be executed as efficiently as possible I don't want to introduce an if statement. Does anybody have a convenient solution that ideally doesn't involve changing any data structure types?

When grid is rendered it loads very first page on the screen and then there are number of pages in the grid header. I scrap first page, and now i want to move on to the next page. I used it but it did not work on this page. the trick is, you can pass __EVENTTARGET and __EVENTARGUMENT in query string to navigate through the gird but it does not work on this website. I am desperately searching a way, how to cope with this website. i really want this done. i do not want any code but a way to nevigate throgh the grid using query string if it does work. Otherwise please be specific to the problem.

    I have a numpy array with positive and negative values in. a = array([1,1,-1,-2,-3,4,5]) I want to create another array which contains a value at each index where a sign change occurs (For example, if the current element is positive and the previous element is negative and vice versa). For the array above, I would expect to get the following result array([0,0,1,0,0,1,0]) Alternatively, a list of the positions in the array where the sign changes occur or list of booleans instead of 0's and 1's is fine.
