'subdirectory' has its own login.aspx (sublogin.aspx) How would the correct content of the web.config in subdirectory look like?

  I'm trying to store a blooming season in month for each tree in SQLite3. Currently I had the field "month" then I store the month name in the field. For example Tree Name Month Tree1 Jan,Feb,Mar Tree2 Nov,Dec,Jan Tree3 Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,May,Jun,Jul,Aug,Sep,Oct,Nov,Dec Tree4 Mar,Apr,Nov,Dec Tree5 Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr I'm not sure if this is the best way to store it, Any recommendation is appreciate. Secondly, I need to perform a query where I enter in the month and it should return me the tree name that match the search criteria. For example If I search for "Jan" the result should be Tree1,Tree2,Tree3,Tree5 "Jan,Feb,Mar" the result should be Tree1,Tree3,Tree5 "Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr" the result should be Tree5 "Sep,Oct,Nov,Dec" the result should be none Which SQL query do I have to use in order to obtain the above result?   I have the following models user has_many :leave_balances leave_balance belongs_to :user belongs_to :leave_type leave_type has_many :leave_balances I want to output a table format showing user names and their balance by leave type. Not every user can have every balance i.e. outer joins required. I'd like to see something like this: Employee Annual Leave Sick Leave Bob 10 Fred 9 Sara 12 15 I am unsure how to get this out as a single statement?   Hi, I am developing my first big application using codeigniter and need a little help as I am fairly new to it all. I know how to get records out of the DB and display them, but I now have to get results from two tables and display them. I pass $data to the view, it works fine for $data['prop'] but I can't get the rest. $data['prop'] = $this->ManageProperty_model->get_property_details($p_id); $data['img'] = $this->ManageProperty_model->get_property_images($p_id); $this->load->model('ManageBranch_model'); $data['branch'] = $this->ManageBranch_model->get_branch_details($p_id); I usually echo out results like so: <?php foreach ($prop as $p) : ?> <?php echo $p->ID; ?> <?php endforeach; ?> Even if there is only 1 row being returned as I am not sure of another way.do I need a foreach for img and branch?

  I've made a script which copies the ALT-tag of an image and puts it into a SPAN. It also formates the information devided by a hyphen. It works like a charm, but only with one image. Further more, I would like it to wrap a div around the image, to prevent unnecessary markup, as I have now.   I’m looking to create a web page with 6 coupons on it, two per line in a web space of 1275 X 1650. Each coupon space will consist of a different image. The problem is I will be creating 20 such web pages that will have these coupons on them. Now some of the same images will appear in different locations/positions on the various web pages. Is there a way to update the same image that appear in different locations/positions at the same time? And what language is used to complete this? I’ve tried CSS but it don’t think it’s possible. So should I be using JavaScript.

• wordpress image showing up multiple times

  I am writing a wordpress theme, and have run into a fairly basic problem. By default, when you inset an image into the post, it displays that image at the size you specify, on both the homepage and the single post. I would like to have different sized images, displaying a thumbnail on the homepage, and a full sized image when you click through to the post. I am using wordpress 2.9's new thumbnail feature, which has created great thumbnails for the homepage. But now, I am stuck with a nice thumbnail next to a large photo (on the index/home page). On the single page, it is displaying correctly with just the large picture. Basically, I need to know how to tell wordpress to only display the large post image on the single page, not on the index. Also: I have used the timthumb script, but I think the answer is far more basic then needing plugins or scripts Thanks!

  One of our customer has a 35 Gb database with average active connections count about 70-80. Some tables in database have more than 10M records per table. Now they have bought new server: 4 * 6 Core = 24 Cores CPU, 48 Gb RAM, 2 RAID controllers 256 Mb cache, with 8 SAS 15K HDD on each. 64bit OS. I'm wondering, what would be a fastest configuration: 1) FB 2.5 SuperServer with huge buffer 8192 * 3500000 pages = 29 Gb or 2) FB 2.5 Classic with small buffer of 1000 pages. Maybe some one has tested such case before and will save me days of work :) Thanks in advance.

  Hello After reading Joel's last article on Mercurial, I'm giving it a shot on XP as a single-user, single-computer source control system. One thing I'd like to check, though, is: It'd be easier to just create a repository of all the tiny projects I keep in eg. C:\VB.Net\, but the result is that the changes I make to the different projects therein (C:\VB.Net\ProjectA\, C:\VB.Net\ProjectB\, etc.) will be mixed in a single changelog. But if I use a single repository for all projects, when I do diff's or go through the change history, will I be able to filter data so that I only see changes pertaining to a given project? Otherwise, is creating repositories in each project directory the only solution? Thank you.

  We have created a User Control for ASP.Net. At any one time, a user's profile page could contain between one and infinity of these controls. The Control.ascx file contains quite a bit of javascript. When the control is rendered by .Net to HTML, you notice that it prints the javascript for each control. This was expected. I'd like to reduce the amount of HTML output by the server to increase page load times. Normally, you could just move the javascript to an external file and then you only need one extra HTTP request which will serve for all controls. But what about instances in the javascript where we have something like document.getElementById('<%= txtTextBox.ClientID %'); How would the javascript know which user control work with? Has anyone done something like this, or is the solution staring me in the face?

  I have a webservice (ASP.NET) deployed on a webfarm. A client application consumes it on daily basis. The problem is that some of its calls are duplicated (with difference of milliseconds). For example I have a function Foo(string a,string b). The client app calls this webmethod as Foo('test1','test2') once but my log shows that it is being called twice or sometimes 3 or 4 times randomly. Is this anything wrong with the webfarm or the code? Note that the webmethod has simple straighfarward insert and update statements.

• How to handle customers with multiple addresses in CakePHP

  I'm putting together a system to track customer orders. Each order will have three addresses; a Main contact address, a billing address and a shipping address. I do not want to have columns in my orders table for the three addresses, I'd like to reference them from a separate table and have some way to enumerate the entry so I can determine if the addressing is main, shipping or billing. Does it make sense to create a column in the address table for AddressType and enumerate that or create another table - AddressTypes - that defines the address enumeration and link to that table? I have found other questions that touch on this topic and that is where I've taken my model. The problem I'm having is taking that into the cakePHP convention. I've been struggling to internalize the direction OneToMany relationships are formed - the way the documentation states feels backwards to me. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

I'm executing the following SQL Query approx 300 times in the program to find route connections from a database of 10,000 bus connections. It takes approx 6-7 seconds to execute the query 300 times. Any suggestions on how I can speed this up or any ideas on a different method i can use ?   Hi I have two sites running under one Sitecore 6 installation. The home nodes of the sites are as such: /sitecore/content/Home /sitecore/content/Careers Assuming the primary site is at domain.com, the careers site can be accessed at careers.domain.com. My problem is that, by prefixing the uri with /sitecore/content/, any sitecore item can be accessed by either (sub)domain. For example, I can get to: http://domain.com/sitecore/content/careers.aspx (should be under careers.domain.com) http://careers.domain.com/sitecore/content/home/destinations.aspx (should be under domain.com). I know I can redirect these urls (using IIS7 Redirects or ISAPIRewrite) but is there any way to 'lock' Sitecore down to only serve items under the configured home node for that domain? Thanks, Adam

  I'm trying to validate an XML file against a number of different schemas (apologies for the contrived example): a.xsd b.xsd c.xsd c.xsd in particular imports b.xsd and b.xsd imports a.xsd, using: <xs:include schemaLocation="b.xsd"/> I'm trying to do this via Xerces in the following manner: XMLSchemaFactory xmlSchemaFactory = new XMLSchemaFactory(); Schema schema = xmlSchemaFactory.newSchema(new StreamSource[] { new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("a.xsd"), "a.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("b.xsd"), "b.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("c.xsd"), "c.xsd")}); Validator validator = schema.newValidator(); validator.validate(new StreamSource(new StringReader(xmlContent))); but this is failing to import all three of the schemas correctly resulting in cannot resolve the name 'blah' to a(n) 'group' component. I've validated this successfully using Python, but having real problems with Java 6.0 and Xerces 2.8.1. Can anybody suggest what's going wrong here, or an easier approach to validate my XML documents?

• Copy recordset data into multiple sheets to avoid problem of maximum rows limit in Excel VBA

  I am developing reporting application in Excel/vba 2003. VBA code sends search query to database and gets the data through recordset. It will then be copied to one of excel sheet. The rertrieved data looks like as shown below. ProductID--|---DateProcessed--|----State----- 1................|.. 1/1/2010..............|.....Picked Up 1................|.. 1/1/2010..............|.....Forward To Approver 1................|.. 1/2/2010..............|.....Approver Picked Up 1................|.. 1/3/2010..............|.....Approval Completed 2................|.. 1/1/2010..............|.....Picked Up 3................|.. 1/2/2010..............|.....Picked Up 3................|.. 1/2/2010..............|.....Forward To Approver The problem is data retrieved from search query is so huge that it goes above the excel row limit (65536 rows in excel 2003). So I want to split this data into two excel sheets. While spliting the data I want to ensure that the data for same product shoud remain in one sheet. For example, if the last record in the above result set is 65537th record then I also want to move all records for product 3 into new sheet. So sheet1 will contain records for product id 1 and 2 with total records = 65534. Sheet 2 will cotain records for product id 3 - with total records = 2. How can I acheive this in vba? If it is not possible, is there any alternative solution ? Thanks in Advance !

• Running multiple environments on one AWS EC2 instance (Elastic Beanstalk)

  I am very new to the Amazon AWS services. I was wondering if there is a way to run an instance of EC2 (say, Amazon Linux AMI) and then connect two environments to this instance. Particularly, I'd like to run a PHP and a Tomcat environment on a single EC2 instance. The problem is, every time I create a new environment in Elastic Beanstalk, it seems to create a new EC2 instance as well. Am I missing something here? I'd appreciate any hint on this.
