  Hi all, I have complied php with the below options './configure' '--with-config-file-path=/opt/apache/php/etc' '--with-config-file-scan-dir=/opt/apache/php/etc/php.d' '--enable-sysvsem' '--enable-sysvshm' '--enable-sysvmsg' '--enable-shmop' '--enable-soap' '--enable-bcmath' '--disable-debug' '--enable-ftp' '--with-curl=/usr/include' '--with-regex=system' '--enable-inline-optimization' '--enable-magic-quotes' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-wddx=shared' '--enable-xml' '--with-gd' '--with-gettext' '--with-mysql' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr/local/lib' '--enable-mbstring' '--prefix=/opt/apache/php' '--with-apxs2=/opt/apache/bin/apxs' '--with-zlib' '--with-openssl' '--with-freetype-dir=/usr/include/freetype2/freetype--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/lib/' but I have no jpeg support. • error while loading shared libraries; cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

  The program evince complains that it can't find libfreetype.so.6; however I clearly have the file and its included in my LD_LIBRARY_PATH; furthermore I have another program which uses libfreetype6 and is able to run just fine.   I'm trying to run a webapp/site on my machine, it's running on OSX 10.6.2 and I'm having some problems: Caught an exeption while rending: The _imagingft C module is not installed Doing import _imagingft in python gives me this: >>> import _imagingft Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: dlopen(/Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so, 2): Symbol not found: _FT_Done_Face Referenced from: /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so Expected in: flat namespace in /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/PIL/_imagingft.so It's seems that the Freetype library is the one having problems. No errors so far when installing PIL or when I compiled(?) the jpeg and freetype libraries so far. I'm on django 1.1.1, python 2.6.2.

  I want to compile php 5.4.8 on my mac 10.8.2, but get some errors which cant solve by my self, so need your help.   I have an Asus Q500A with win8 and Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit; Linux kernel 3.8.0-32-generic. I have been having residual package issues which have been giving me trouble trying to reconfigure xserver-xorg-lts-raring. • Compiling PHP with GD crashes with EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) on PPC Mac

  First of all, I should say that I have searched the whole Internet for this problem but I couldn't find any solution yet. I have a Mac mini PowerPC (PPC) and I run Apache webserver (httpd-2.2.22) with PHP (5.4.0) and I do all the configure & compilation jobs by myself. If configure with: './configure' '--prefix=/usr/local/php5' '--mandir=/usr/share/man' '--infodir=/usr/share/info' '--sysconfdir=/etc' '--with-config-file-path=/etc' '--with-zlib' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr' '--with-openssl=/usr' '--without-iconv' '--enable-exif' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-mbregex' '--enable-sockets' '--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' '--with-pdo-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' '--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config' '--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs' '--with-mcrypt' then the PHP works flawlessly. But if I add the GD module by adding these to the script above: '--with-gd' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/lib' '--with-freetype-dir=/usr/X11R6' '--with-png-dir=/usr/X11R6' '--with-xpm-dir=/usr/X11R6' the PHP gets configured and compiled without any errors but it causes EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) (see the Crash Reporter log below) when I request a page which calls PHP module. It's obvious that something related to the GD module is causing this, probably FreeType module because it's present in the log but it may not be definite of course. When the PHP crashes (or more accurately, httpd) the CPU goes 100% for 10 to 15 seconds until it recovers. I need to use the GD module and keep the Mac mini PowerPC. • Unable to install Xdebug

  I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? Target of my application is x86, IntPtr.Size is 4, process is 32-bit. But I get BadImageFormatException (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B). What can be wrong? Of course I use 64-bit Windows 7.

  I want to install matplotlib on OS X. If possible, using homebrew. I installed Python 2.7.1 using brew install python, I modified my path to use it I installed pip using brew install pip I installed numpy 1.5.1 using pip install numpy I installed scipy 0.8.0 using pip install scipy This is where it gets hairy. pip install matplotlib will fetch the wrong version of matplotlib, which is incompatible with the recent version of numpy. The solution is to fetch the correct version of matplotlib manually: pip install -f http://sourceforge.net/projects/matplotlib/files/matplotlib/matplotlib-1.0.1/matplotlib-1.0.1.tar.gz matplotlib But, that version fails to compile since it can't find the freetype headers: In file included from src/ft2font.cpp:1: src/ft2font.h:14:22: error: ft2build.h: No such file or directory These headers are actually installed in /usr/X11/include as part of the X11 developer tools. So, how can I make matplotlib use these headers?

  I have a RHEL 5 workstation with 2 nvidia Quadro FX4500 cards, with one display attached to each card. After doing a clean install of RHEL 5.5, the second display doesnt work (it worked ok in RHEL 5.2). Neither separate X screens nor Xinerama are working. The kernel version is 2.6.18-194.el5 I've tried nvidia drivers 185.18.36 (the ones that i was using on 5.2) and the latest 260.19.36 and neither works. • Apache fails silently after installation of MapServer 6.2.0

  I've recently compiled MapServer 6.2 on a CentOS 6.3 machine, using ./configure --with-ogr=/usr/bin/gdal-config --with-gdal=/usr/bin/gdal-config --with-proj=/usr --with-geos=/usr/bin/geos-config --with-postgis=/usr/bin/pg_config --with-php=/usr/include/php --with-wfs --with-wfsclient --with-wmsclient --enable-debug --with-threads --with-wcs --with-sos --with-gd --with-freetype=/usr/bin --with-jpeg --with-cairo --with-curl if that is of interest, anyway. So after that, Apache/2.2.15 silently fails to restart, i.e. when apachectl graceful, it says "httpd not running, trying to start". There is nothing of interest in the Apache errors_log, /var/log/messages, and it is weird because so far it has always worked. Restarting the machine multiple times did not solve the problem. Some other stuff I did: [root@R12X0210 cgi-bin]# service httpd status httpd is stopped [root@R12X0210 cgi-bin]# ps aux|grep httpd root 1846 0.0 0.0 103236 864 pts/0 S+ 12:11 0:00 grep httpd I suspect this might have something to do with a php module that was altered/added by MapServer, but I don't really know... I don't even know how to properly debug this.

I can't come out of any. Does anyone know what this error exactly means? How to get rid of this error?

• Cross-platform builds with OGRE3D via CMake. Any tips?

  I've been trying to compile a simple project for both OSX and Windows platforms, using OGRE3D, but I've got some problems on the way. I'm using CMake to create my platform specific project files (VS solution & Xcode project). Some problems I found are: OGRE3D source is distributed in 2 flavors, Windows sources and UNIX/OSX sources. In OSX, compiling dependencies (freetype, FreeImage and specially OIS) is such a pain. I don't know how to handle precompiled dependencies (they exist for both Win & Mac). May sound like a noob question, but I would appreciate some tips on this. Resources, forum posts, anything. There exists any "cross-platform base project for OGRE3D" on the net? Would be really helpful if someone who already managed to do this can bring some light. Btw, I'm not basing the project on OGRE3D, it's just that is the biggest library I'm probably using, so I depend a lot on it. Thanks in advantage!

• Problems with Snow Leopard, Django & PIL

  Hi I am having some trouble getting Django & PIL work properly since upgrading to Snow Leopard. I have installed freetype, libjpeg and then PIL, which tells me: --- TKINTER support ok --- JPEG support ok --- ZLIB (PNG/ZIP) support ok --- FREETYPE2 support ok but when I try to upload a jpeg through the django admin interface I get: Upload a valid image. The file you uploaded was either not an image or a corrupted image. It works fine with PNG files. Any Ideas?
