  Hi, I have my current location from CLLocation, and I have another location- also an CLLocation. I would like to detect when my device is heading towards that other location. (I can calculate the distance in meters between this points- but can't workout the calculation of an accurate angle to compare with the device current heading) Thanks.

• How to Detect a Right Click on Taskbar in WPF

  I've got a WPF application in C# that starts off with a loading dialog. As expected, a button for the app shows up in the Windows taskbar. I would like to detect right-clicks that might be done to that button. Ultimately, I hope to disable the right-click or simply have the loading dialog regain focus. I've seen that some people use custom libraries and packages (interop, for example) to achieve some Win32 functionality, but I'd personally like to avoid this. Furthermore, these libraries/packages appear to be specific to Windows Forms; I've not seen anything for WPF. Is it impossible to manipulate the taskbar's right-click in WPF?

  Alt-Tab looses focus and have to hit Alt-Grave Accent to get focus I have ubuntu 12.4 with Unity window manager. I have a gvim window and a firefox window open. I hit Alt-Tab to switch between the two. Sometimes the gvim window doesn't have focus and I have to hit Alt-GraveAccent (Alt-`) to get the gvim window to have focus (ie: have the cursor a solid white square instead of a outline of a square) I do this to move between firefox where I highlight some text and do a copy, then Alt-Tab to gvim and do a paste. Sometimes the focus isn't in gvim and the paste doesn't work. I then have to do an Alt-graveAccent to get the focus into gvim or click the gvim window. These extra steps slow my process down and it makes it difficult to get into a smooth rythum. I saw this: ALT+TAB loses focus Maybe the Alt-GraveAccent may help someone. • Update Manager unable to get updates

  In last few days my Ubuntu 11.10 update manager is unable to get new updates. When I checked update log I saw that for couple of updates it says "Network isn't available". For other updates it downloaded logs and and internet connection also works fine. Unable to attached screenshot due to SPAM prevention policy. But for below Release gpgv:/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/extras.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_oneiric_Release.gpg it says "Network isn't available" For all other Releases it is downloading fine. And due to this I dont see any update available in last 10 days.   I have a question about using Box2D (engine for LibGDX used to make realistic physics). My objectives to make SFX played once for every collision (Or should I say "SFX played once per collision"?) on the following: SFX played once if they hit on the objects of its kind. (e.g. apple vs. apple) SFX played once on a different sound when it hit on the ground. (e.g. apple land on the mud) Take note that I'm using Box2D for the Java programming version thanks to LibGDX via Box2D engine and I edited the physics body using Physics Body Editor before I implement it to code. I tried to check every available methods for body, fixture definition, or body definition to code for the SFX when hit but it seems only for the gravity and weight. Is there possibly available on the document for SFX played when collision happens if possible?

• Changing a Sprite When Hit in GameMaker

  I am making a simple little Galaga style game. I want the objects sprite to change whenever it is hit. For example if a laser hits an alien then the sprite takes 1 out of 4 damage to its health points (HP). However I want the sprite to change from green to yellow after 1 hit, yellow to orange after 2 hits, orange to red after 3 hits, and red to pixel explosion after all 4 HPs are lost. That way you can easily distinguish the amount of health each alien has left. How can I do this? Preferably explain it in code.

• Apt-Get Update: failure to fetch; can't connect to any sources

  I realize there are dozens of "apt-get update: failure to fetch" questions (I read through all I could find), but my present circumstance is unique to 12.04 and it affects all sources; not just launchpad. Additionally, I've tried several different servers in Europe and the U.S. as well as the "main server" (wherever that is) and they all yield the same result: I can't connect to any software sources. Additionally, I'm fairly certain the problem stems from the upgrade from 11.10-12.04 I performed this morning, as updates worked immediately before. Updates from the Update Manager worked fine and I could download some things (mutter) from the Software Center without incident, which makes me think I can connect to some subset of the Ubuntu servers (however, several other Ubuntu servers--like extras--and some canonical servers are listed as 'unable to connect'). • 12.04: Apt-Get Update: failure to fetch; can't connect to any sources

  I realize there are dozens of "apt-get update: failure to fetch" questions (I read through all I could find), but my present circumstance is unique to 12.04 and it affects all sources; not just launchpad. Additionally, I've tried several different servers in Europe and the U.S. as well as the "main server" (wherever that is) and they all yield the same result: I can't connect to any software sources. Additionally, I'm fairly certain the problem stems from the upgrade from 11.10-12.04 I performed this morning, as updates worked immediately before. Updates from the Update Manager worked fine and I could download some things (mutter) from the Software Center without incident, which makes me think I can connect to some subset of the Ubuntu servers (however, several other Ubuntu servers--like extras--and some canonical servers are listed as 'unable to connect'). An example would be nytimes.com (when you're reading an article and you highlight a word, the reference icon pops up). However the nytimes.com script is super complex. I'm 16 and not much of a programmer, so that is definitely way out of my league.

I'm testing simple hit detection with a wall, like: if (Forward button) if(Inv.w.z < -49 || Inv.w.z > 49) pos.z = 0.0f; else if(Inv.w.x < -49 || Inv.w.x > 49) pos.z = 0.0f; else pos.z = +1.0f; where Inv.w. is the camera positions. Now obviously when i now hit that certain point i can no longer move away from the wall or anywhere in fact. How can i change this code to allow for the camera to be turned away from the wall so therefore i should be allowed to move? for example, the player hits the wall and i cant move until i turn around or to the side? I know its something to do with velocity but im pretty new to this so please bare with me if this is easy.

Google state in their documentation: These limits apply to the Web Property / Property / Tracking ID. 10 million hits per month per property If you go over this limit, the Google Analytics team might contact you and ask you upgrade to Premium or implement client sampling to reduce the amount of data being sent to Google Analytics. However, I note that there is nothing to say that you can review or check up on your current usage for the month. I have administrator access to the Google Analytics account, but I see no feature that lets me check up on my monthly usage. I don't know if Google offer this, either by means of the admin interface or via their support channels - but it would certainly be a useful feature. Is there anyway for a free GA user to obtain this information?

  I would like to crawl a publicly available site (and one that's legal to crawl) for a personal project. From a brief trial of the crawler, I gathered that my program hits the server with a new HTTPRequest 8 times in a second. At this rate, as per my estimate, to obtain the full set of data I need about 60 full days of crawling. While the site is legal to crawl, I understand it can still be unethical to crawl at a rate that causes inconvenience to the regular traffic on the site. What I'd like to understand here is -- how high is 8 hits per second to the server I'm crawling? Could I possibly do 4 times that (by running 4 instances of my crawler in parallel) to bring the total effort down to just 15 days instead of 60? How do you find the maximum hit-rate a web-server supports? What would be the theoretical (and ethical) upper-limit for the crawl-rate so as to not adversely affect the server's routine traffic?

• How to Make Sure your Company Don't Go Underwater if Your Programmers are Hit by Bus

  I have a few programmers under me, they are all doing very great and very smart obviously. Thank you very much. But the problem is that each and every one of them is responsible for one core area, which no one else on the team have foggiest idea on what it is. This means that if anyone of them is taken out, my company as a business is dead because they aren't replaceable. I'm thinking about bringing in new programmers to cover them, just in case they are hit by a bus, or resign or whatever. But I afraid that The old programmers might actively resist the idea of knowledge transfer, fearing that a backup might reduce their value. I don't have a system to facilitate technology transfer between different developers, so even if I ask them to do it, I've no assurance that they will do it properly. My question is, How to put it to the old programmers in such they would agree What are systems that you use, in order to facilitate this kind of "backup"? I can understand that you can do code review, but is there a simple way to conduct this? I think we are not ready for a full blown, check-in by check-in code review.

• Ranking hit after site migration

  I migrated my site from its old domain over a month ago. I followed Google Webmaster Tools completely, including 301 redirects from every existing URL to the new domain, and then submitting a change of address. Traffic continued as normal, but then a few days after submitting the change of address traffic plummeted to about 20-30% of what it was previously. Most of my traffic comes from organic search, and I can see that for the keywords I had targeted before and performed well with and am now ranking much much lower for. In some cases for low competition keywords I've only lost a few places, for higher competition terms I have really suffered. This has started to pick up a bit (one of my keywords I have risen from 195 to 100 in the last week), but it seems to be a very slow process. How seamless is this process normally? I was under the impression that this would not affect my rankings too severely, but it has now been a month since the move and recovery seems to be very slow, if at all. Is it likely that I've missed something? The only change is that I have moved what was the home page to be more of a sub-page, and now in its place is a magazine-style home page. I understand that links to the old site will now be pointing to the latter which means that rankings for some keywords attributed to the old home page will take a hit, but even on other pages that seem to fit in exactly the same page structure as the previous site I have seen a drop in rankings.

• Second monitor not detected

  Note: I've seen this question quite a lot, but in all the cases I could find with answers, the answer was either "I don't know" or "use nvidia-settings (which is irrelevant to me)." I'm using Intel Sandybridge Desktop graphics, with a P8H61-M LE motherboard. How do I get Ubuntu to detect my second monitor? Clicking "Detect Displays" here doesn't do anything.
