    Hi there, Image Gallery with overlapping Fade In and Fade Out effects ??? I'm trying to find an idea to go by or some code snippet for an Xml Img. gallery where I can use Images which are fading 'In and Out' before showing the next Img. a type of overlapping, and which than again does the fade In and Out thing. ** I have been able to get things going through the last week, but I'm not too happy with it as it is not smooth enough!, and not that greatly dissolving between Imgs.   • Overlapping two divs and 'clearing' their parent div

    My CSS-fu is letting me down here: What I'd like to do is position two child divs to be overlapping: Using position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; is the only way I know how, with the parent set to position: relative. The problem with this is that the child divs are taken out of the layout as per the CSS spec, shrinking the parent div to height: 0px, so that I can't clear that div and put any content below. My amazing ASCII art below details what I'm going for... any ideas? As an aside, I need these divs to be overlapping exactly for jQuery fades, and maybe trying out some of the new Webkit transforms, a la Apple's cardflip demo: http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/samplecode/CardFlip/Introduction/Intro.html If there's another way to get them overlapped exactly in CSS, I'm all ears.   • CSS+HTML: tds are overlapping

    On my web-site http://vfm-elita.com (it is not in English, sorry for that) - center and right columns are overlapping, please see screenshot for details: Between left and center columns you can see a "gap" with a green background - it is expected and good. But there are no any gap between center and right columns, instead they are overlapping. Issue exists in all known browsers There are no special formatting applied to columns. They are usual 'TD' columns, the only CSS modifier is width that is "250px" for left and right columns, and for center - it is "auto". Please advise how can I correct that error. Thanks a lot!

  • How to change the overlapping order of TabItems in WPF TabControl

    I have created vertical TabItems with a Path object. The selected TabItem overlaps the unselected TabItems, this works fine. The overlapping is done by setting a negative margin in the TabItem Template. For the unselected TabItems right now a TabItem is overlapped by the TabItem below. For example in the picture Tab 4 overlaps Tab 3 and Tab 3 overlaps Tab 2. I would like to change the overlapping order for the unselected Tab Items, so that an unselected TabItem overlaps the TabItem below and is overlapped by the TabItem above, e.g. Tab 2 overlaps Tab 3 and Tab 3 overlaps Tab 4. I have tried to set the FlowDirection property of TabPanel, but this doesn't work. How can I achieve this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!   • Matplotlib pick event order for overlapping artists

    I'm hitting a very strange issue with matplotlib pick events. I have two artists that are both pickable and are non-overlapping to begin with ("holes" and "pegs"). When I pick one of them, during the event handling I move the other one to where I just clicked (moving a "peg" into the "hole"). Then, without doing anything else, a pick event from the moved artist (the peg) is generated even though it wasn't there when the first event was generated. My only explanation for it is that somehow the event manager is still moving through artist layers when the event is processed, and therefore hits the second artist after it is moved under the cursor. So then my question is - how do pick events (or any events for that matter) iterate through overlapping artists on the canvas, and is there a way to control it? I think I would get my desired behavior if it moved from the top down always (rather than bottom up or randomly). I haven't been able to find sufficient enough documentation, and a lengthy search on SO has not revealed this exact issue.   • Qt/win: showMaximized() overlapping taskbar on a frameless window

    I'm building an application that has its own custom chrome. I have turned the default window border off by setting the flag: this->setWindowFlags(Qt::FramelessWindowHint); After this flag is set and the default window border is turned off, any calls to: this->showMaximized(); result in a window that takes up the entire screen, overlapping the task bar. Is there a common work around for this or another method I should be calling instead of showMaximized()? Win7/Qt4.6

    Hello, I have a tab bar with two views. In the first view the iPhone status bar is hidden using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES animated:YES]. When the second view is loaded, and the status bar is made visible again using [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:NO animated:YES] it overlaps the view. How do I make the status bar visible again without overlapping the second view? Thanks

    I have dual monitor setup and I was wondering if there's a way to specifiy an overlap between the 2 displays. Ideally, the area where the 2 monitors cross over would be repeated on both monitors (ven diagram-ish). Currently the display settings can only work when they're adjacent. On a side note, is it possible to seperate the monitors so that there's an assumed space between the displays? I'm currently running windows 7.

    Is it OK to have samba shares that overlap, like the following: [whole-drive] path = /mnt/myusbdrive ... [music] path = /mnt/myusbdrive/music ... [movies] path = /mnt/myusbdrive/movies ... I have a mounted external HDD with music and movies, plus a whole bunch of other stuff like backups. I want to expose the music and movies directories as separate samba shares (probably with guest access), so that they're uncluttered with all the other stuff; and I want to expose the entire drive as a separate samba share (with higher permissions) for doing more administrative things across the drive. Does Samba behave well with this configuration? I'm wondering if I'd end up with problems like phantom writes if the same file is accessed at the same time across two different shares. Details: OS: Debian GNU/Linux wheezy/sid on Raspberry Pi HDD: NTFS, mounted as ntfs-3g. Samba: version 3.6.6

  • Overlapping appointments in Outlook 2003

    I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2003 (Home and Student, if that makes any difference, which I doubt) as my calendar, and I have one minor gripe: it can't really handle appointments that don't begin and end right on the half-hour mark. For instance, if I have a class that ends at 9:22 AM and another class that begins at 9:27 AM, they will appear to overlap in the day view. Not a big deal, but it bugs me nonetheless. Anybody know of a hack or patch that will fix this issue? I've searched the Outlook documentation as well as Google to no avail.

Is this configuration crazy? I like having backups every thirty minutes, that will probably save my ass some day. Please help me make a decent backup schedule, that doesn't clog up the system, but creates frequent enough backups. Thank you.

  • Excel 2007 Pivot Tables: Overlapping issue hampers my summary sheet

    I've created a Workbook that has 5 Pivot Tables (PT). I want to make a summary sheet that holds all these PT's, but when they expand the 'not allowed to overlap issue' causes me updating problems - they don't update/expand effectively. Therefore, can't be printed off easily. The sheet would basically help my users give their bosses a simple quick overview of the larger worksheet - this way they would be more inclined to fill it in (give a little too get a little philosophy). I had thought about using the Camera Tool, but I'm not sure how you could make it dynamic, or whether it can be dynamic with a PT? Any advice, links or step-by-steps are greatly appreciated.     In Chrome, news articles at: http://www.theprovince.com with a leading photo and caption show the caption text overlapped with the body text. I have an image but as a new user here I'm not allowed to upload it. It happens at that site almost always, here's an example from today: http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Canucks+Blackhawks+collision+Titanic+proportions/5721421/story.html It rarely happens elsewhere. The same link works fine in Internet Explorer so I'm guessing it's a Chrome issue. It's been like this for many months, I read the site almost everyday. I click on "Print this Article" to get a proper look at it, but it's annoying, hope someone has the answer. Thanks in advance.

  • auto-scaling size with anchors - overlapping controls

    I'm having some trouble with resizing and scaling of controls in a windows form. I've set anchors up so that the controls stay in ratio with the form, which works great. However, perhaps i was expecting too much when i thought that the control origin points would also scale and change with the form scaling, but this is not the case and i'm finding my controls overlapping. here's some screenshots; anyone know of an approach i can take to solve this problem? perhaps i need to set control origins to dynamic drawing points that scale, but then do these redraw on scaling the form, or only on creation?

    I've got a bunch of overlapping triangles from a 3D model projected into a 2D plane. I need to merge each island of touching triangles into a closed, non-convex polygon. The resultant polygons shouldn't have any holes in them (since the source data doesn't). Many of the source triangles share (floating point identical) edges with other triangles in the source data. What's the easiest way to do this? Performance isn't particularly important, since this will be done at design time.

    Hi, in Drupal I have used CCK to add a datetime field to my custom data type. It inserts start date and end date fields. That is what I want. Now, I want Views to filter and show only the items that have the daterange (start date and end date) overlapping today's date. Any ideas on how to set it up on Views? What I think is strange is that the date fields of my custom content type don't seem to appear on the Views list when I am trying to add a filter. Thanks.
