Very basic my app will display different encrypted file types, and those files are delivered in a zip file. The closest I found is SQLDataSources that enumerates all data sources and gives you the DSN name/description. But specifically I would to extract the TNS service name of an Oracle data source. This property appears in the registry under ServerName but I found no way to access it through an API.

• Multiple marker icons, how to add to google mashup

  I have created a Google maps mashup, where with a bit of input, I have managed to have a sidebar that links to a video icon/marker that then opens up an info window showing virtual tours. I would, however, like to put different coloured marker icons on the map depending on the category that the video is in. This would be easy enough to do, but my page is made up of a mixture of J-Query and JavaScript all calling to the individual flash files. Could someone help me with the code for adding extra marker icons for different categories? Is there a way, with a script file or a tool, that can extract this kind of information by checking all the servers and computers in my network? • Extract reply to addresses from all emails in an outlook folder

  I've got to send a bulk email out to a bunch of people in reply to emails they sent me. I've got all the original emails stored in a single outlook folder. I want to extract all of the reply-to addresses from the emails in that folder so I can send an email to all of them. http://thetechieguy.wordpress.com/2008/04/22/extracting-email-address-from-outlook-2007-folder/ shows you how to export the FROM address of these emails, however a large amount of them came from a web service that sends emails 'on behalf of' the person I'm trying to mail to. So I need the reply-to address, and the export wizard doesn't do that. Does anyone have a tip on how to do this? This is Outlook 2007 on Exchange 2010.

  (writing here because my reply to a previous post is marked "deleted by diago") Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic I have tried removing the notification area from the top panel and reinstalling it, and still I have nothing in it: no volume control, no connection icon. I have put a notification area on the bottom panel, and the only icon appearing is the connection one, looks like two plugs meeting, or a large resistor in line, or two toilet plungers face to face, so to speak. How can I get this up top where it used to be, along with the volume control icon? Thanks for any help.

• Merging Two KML Files to Display Them with Different Marker Icons on Google Maps

  Let's say that I have two spreadsheets with addresses. I uploaded these spreadsheets into Google Fusion Tables, geocoded the addresses, and exported the results as KML files. Now, I want to take these two KML files and merge them, while maintaining the location data and using it to map the points with Google Maps. Well, I found a way to easily merge the KML files: import both of them into a "My Maps" map with Google Maps! However, my problem is this: when I do that, all of the locations in my data have the same marker icon on the map. From past experience, I know that these markers can be somehow defined inside the KML files. Is it possible to combine these two KML files while giving one's points one marker icon and the other's points another marker icon? Just in case my question is confusing, what I mean, is giving the first set of points blue markers, for example, and the other set of points red markers, so that they can be overlayed.

  Hello I'm no expert with editing videos, and I need to rip a few segments from an FLV file, and then upload some of them to YouTube. I don't know if I need to convert FLV to AVI for YouTube to accept them. I've taken a look at VirtualDub + the FLV plug-in but the video isn't displayed correctly. I also tried AviDemux, but I couldn't find how to extract a segment after setting the A/Start and B/End points. Does someone know of a good solution to do this on Windows? Thank you.

• Microsoft Word files have weird icons suddenly?

  All of a sudden, my Microsoft Office files have the generic file icon, and it happens with Powerpoint and Word, but not Excel. I can open the files just fine, and I tried restarting my computer, creating new files, clicking F5 on the desktop, turning off my Windows XP theme patcher, and none of them worked, any ideas? EDIT: I've also noticed that it happened to the following programs: Windows Live Messenger, iTunes, and Skype, so not just MS Office. Yet, some are still fine like IE, Paint, GIMP, Paint.NET, a few web browsers, etc.

• Keep chrome extensions icons permanently ordered

  I like to have the extensions like Gmail Checker and Google Voice checker closest to my eyes, therefore closer to the url bar. I have tried disabling and enabling extensions to order them correctly, but once I close chrome, they appear in a different order (always the same undesirable "different" order). Is there a way to prevent them from rearranging themselves? Thanks

  I am a littlebit frustrated, im working on a project with the aim to build a system witch print automatically e-mail attachments of incoming mails ("E-Mail to Print"-system). I already set up a e-mail server (exim4) which receive perfectly e-mail and stores them to a mbox in /var/mail/ - now I want to extract the attachments out of the mbox file throw MIME to the original .PDF, .DOC, .JPG, .GIF, ... and save them in a directory, from where they get print. After the e-mail attachments got extracted they should be deleted, so they don't get extracted again. But how can I get this to work? I am not a coder, so I looked for existing scripts and programs but found nothing to work with. Could anyone give me little help - I would be very thankful! Thanks, Simeon

• Showing protocol specific mini icons for Jabber/XMPP gateway contacts

  Since a short while I'm using Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot (11.10) with gnome-shell (Gnome 3) and I'm trying to get accustomed to the default Empathy Instant Messaging client. I'm using a gateway service on the side of my Jabber/XMPP server to communicate with lots of contacts over proprietary networks like ICQ or MSN. So I don't use Empathy's native support for ICQ and MSN, and I don't want to change back to using such a thing for various reasons. One thing that annoys me is that Empathy does not make it clear to me that these contacts are from another instant messaging network. If I enable the View Show Protocols option they are all recognized as Jabber/XMPP contacts. Although I perfectly understand why that happens, I would like to be able to change this behavior to make Empathy mark these contacts correctly. Is there a configuration option or a plugin for this? Or may this feature still be in development and will be available later?

• Extract MP3 URL from a SWF file

  I have a SWF file that basically shows a streamer, and it plays a song (I'm guessing it's MP3) that it links to, somewhere. I know the audio isn't embedded in the file since the SWF's file size is ~370KB. With most flash FLV and MP3 players, Internet Download Manager catches the URL as soon as the video/audio starts to load, and I can easily download it using IDM. In this case, IDM doesn't seem to sense anything - so I thought maybe I could extract the MP3 location myself. I tried decompiling the SWF file, as I'd heard before that with some files, decompiling can help in breaking down a file and getting just the info you need - but I honestly don't know what to look for in this particular file. Suggestions?

• How to extract jpegs from a video file using ffmpeg

  I am using C# and ffmpeg. In this scenario I have 279 individual jpegs and i have used ffmpeg to create a AVI file from these images on my client. CMD Line: -f image2 -r 10 -i "C:\000EC902F17F\img%05d.jpg" -s 352x288 -y "C:\1\test.avi" I then upload to my server. CMD Line: -i c:\1\1.avi c:\1\img-%05d.jpg I then extract jpegs from the AVI file. I get 265 jpegs back. Obviously ffmpeg is dropping these frames (most probable) when the avi is 1st created. Is there a way to 'force' to encode using ALL the images I have? Thanks. PS I did not specify any command line option other than the size of the video output. As far as I am aware if none are specified then ffmpeg automatically chooses the best ones?

  A Windows Server 2003 machine died recently but I need some information that was contained in the now-defunct server's registry. I have a "System State" backup file created by the Windows Server 2003 built-in backup program (NTBackup.exe). Is there any way to extract a key/value out of the backup file? I might be able do a Win2003 install on a similar machine then do a system-state restore but that's a lot of effort and I don't know for certain that the system-state restore will work on a different spec machine. (Would it work if I booted up in 'safe mode'?) But I'd really rather just get at the data straight out of the NTBackup file zip-file-esque styles if that's possible.

  I have a 6 images , and each image has a certain section that i want to save as a separate image , the problem is that it has to be accurate because i am doing some animation using the sub-image so they should exactly . so I want to accurately extract a that part from each of the 6 images , i can't do it using a image editor in which i have to make the bounding box myself because it will not be accurate , is there any program that lets me do this by like defining a box using numerical values.   In a desktop app, I'm using Shell32 to extract Mime infos and ID3 tags. I want to do the same in ASP.Net on server side with http posted files, plus fetch some other infos, but as a Windows Server 2008, there are not several media applications installed, so I wonder if it will still retrieve a lot of informations from the files. Will it be possible to do it from server side? If yes, will it fetch several Mimes without media app installed. If not, is there some Mime pack to get some file informations without the app being installed. [EDIT] I installed VLC player and Windows Media Player on the server, which provide all MP3s / movies infos (Duration, Artist, Album, Width, Height, etc.), but I don't know if this is a good practice.

  Recently I've had to uninstall a single Self-Signed SSL Certificate from one of my Apache boxes, specifically for an outside party. That's not really a problem for me, since it was easy. What confuses me is how they knew I had a self-signed certificate. The domain I provided them was not related to the domain with the self-signed certificate. Does this mean Apache publicizes the Virtual hosts in the httpd.conf file?
