  I can't find a very simple application, with litle to zero configuration on both client and server side which would help one computer to bring other computers on an existing private LAN. OpenVPN seems like an overkill for this type of thing, and is really hard to get running or debug by various clueless people trying to connect. Does such a software exist? It's very odd not to. THe Windows provided VPN (PPTP over TCP and GRE) is not what I'm looking for because it is often filtered by ISPs. Only TCP and UDP solutions pls. Encryption is not needed.

  I am sorry if I am repeating this issue. But I am a layman and cant understand the answers posted. I want to do away with Windows XP Professional (I have lost the product key) that I have on an old desktop PC that is more than 7/8 years old. I didnt use the PC for a couple of years as this laptop was more convenient. Now I have started to use this PC but cannot download SP2 onto the PC as it keeps asking for product key and I dont remember where I wrote it down or where I kept it. So I downloaded Ubuntu 12.10 onto the desktop screen (about 753MB and 3 hours) and then used Unetbootin to put this on my pendrive. After completing the process, I have on my pendrive 9 folders, 3 text files, 1 autorun file, 1 ldlinux file, 1 wubi application file and 5 other files - total 20 items. Though on bootup I opted for USB boot, the boot-up opens into Windows. It simply bypasses the USB where ubuntu lies. What do I do? Am I doing things correctly. Pls explain in simple terms.

  I want to write a python script that will open up this one excel file, "refresh" on the Bloomberg tab (with the Bloomberg add-in), and export all the individual sheets as csv? How can I do this? What are the basic things I should know and is there any reference script that I can use? I'm using Excel 2010 with the bloomberg plugin. Not sure if this is the correct forum to use but pls move this to another forum if it's more appropriate there. Thanks.

My problem is while i am inserting duplicate name in table the control should go to else part, and display the message like...This name is already exits, pls try with another name... but in my coding not getting.....   Hi i completed creating i calendar feed in asp.net mvc.Basically the op is the file with .ics extensions.I am able to open my file in mozilla sunbird(calendar reader software) and view the milestones lists.Now when i want to open it with google calendar i get an error.How can i synchronize mi ical file with google calendar.Do i need to use webcal:\ protocol to achive that.Basically my feed link should apper some thing like this webcal://proj2009.basecamphq.com/feed/global_ical?token=457bd123e18d instead of controller/action/id(which i have now).There aint enough resource on the web for this one.Anyone pls help.   Hi, I'm using ASP.NET on C# and I have a referanced library in the same solution in VB which calls a COM object using CreateObject. When I run the site on my comp it works, when I run it on my IIS 6 it gives me a stackoverflow on the method call. Now I have a script wich runs the VB code on the IIS6 and it works just fine. It must be something with the ASP... How can I call Com objects within ASP..., Do I have to do something special? Pls help.

• PHP with DB backed-end application to complete windows EXE possible or not?

  Hi, Let's say I have a php application backed-end with SQLite and I would like to convert whole application to exe file so the end user can just click it and run on windows. User should be able to save, update and add new data into database without any web server or browser things. Is it possible? I found out that we can use PHP-GTK for UI. exeoutput.com supports with database engines according to it's website. Anyone have tried it out? If I'm missing something, pls share with me.   I am creating an application which involves so many web-service calls. I am using NSOperation to execute the web-service calls. There are several views in the application and I'm calling the web-service each time the view loads. Since it is navigation, if user decides to go back to the previous view even before the operation gets completed, another operation is getting into the queue and will be waiting for the previous operation to be completed. Is there any way to stop the previous operation from being executed when its view changes? pls help

  Hi.. I am barely new to IPhone Programming so can anyone please shed some light for my problem. Current SetUp: I have Tabbar Controller(4 TabbarItem's) When u click the secondtabbaritem - It calls second.xib which is of type UIViewController. My Requirement: I have a button inside the view. So when i click the button, it should load another UIViewController with the tabbar visible. Problem: I am able to do so, but the tabbar disappears, and i need to quit the application to start go back to the see the tabbar again. Pls help me Cheers Anand
