I couldn't find any easy way to edit .MST file from the Canon camera. Do I need to convert it before editing or is there a software that can automatically import .MST files and edit it.
Often times I'll click on a random link to a .sh or .py or .cpp or ... file in Firefox, and all I want is to view the code. I don't have a Firefox handler set up for every text file extension under the sun, and I don't want to have to. Is there an easy way to force Firefox to view the file as text instead of trying to save (or open in external app)?
At present, Opsview reports recoveries in the following format:

Additional Info:
SNMP OK - 0
What I would ideally like to do is add a "duration" field, so that you can tell without scrolling back on a Blackberry how long the event has been at fault for.
Is there an easy solution to this?
I need an easy to use alternative to FTP. I need to store docs and photos but clients need to be able to access easily (need to be able to both upload and download). Inexpenisve or free would be great. Help!
I have four nameservers registered for a domain:
ns1.primary-nameserver.net
ns2.primary-nameserver.net
a.ns.secondary-nameserver.net
b.ns.secondary-nameserver.net
How can I find out how much usage each nameserver is getting? Or is it safe to assume that it's 25% to each?
Update
I don't control the nameservers, they are provided by third party suppliers like DNS Made Easy, Zerigo, Route 53, etc. I am trying to establish whether all listed nameservers are used equally.
I've been intrested in this for a while I love the way that facebook tags photos. I think picasa web is a better system but not as easy to use.
I know i can geo-tag my photo files but is there a way to mark who in the photo and where in the photo they are?
Is there any standard way to do this?
I am planning to upgrade my Sapphire AM2+ Motherboard (Chipset 780G) with a new MSI AM3 (Chipset 785G).
I don't want to format and reinstall Windows 7.
I have heard that with Windows XP is not that easy because SATA drivers are not available by default, but maybe for Windows 7 things are easier.
Do you know which steps do I have to follow to achieve my target?
I have taken some photos from a recent vacation, but forgot to set the "away" time, so the time is slightly off. Thats not much of an issue since its only an hour from my home time, but my partner also took photos, but she was smart enough to adjust the time, so when merged together the overlap is annoying. Is there an easy way (preferably in iPhoto) to adjust the time that the photos were taken?
i try to create my own NAS and i need to automount the internal sata disks during boot
i know i could do using fstab but im searching for a more easy/generalized way so its easier to scale with less handwork needed for every hard drive attached (or every mainboard added to the cluster)
so anyone knows how to automount internal disks without using fstab like ubuntu does for usb drives?
im using ubuntu server 9.10

Any Sybase expert here?
Is it possible to copy all my delicious bookmarks to google bookmarks, while preserving the delicious tags as google labels? It is easy enough to export as html and import again, but the tags get lost in the process.
Can anyone recommend (free) Thesaurus software for Windows XP (that isn't WordWeb)? It has to work with British English.
I want to install standalone software that gives me easy access (right click, keyboard shortcut or something) to alternatives to the selected word when I'm writing, whether it's an email, a text doc in notepad, on an internet forum or whatever.
I've tried WordWeb but found it pretty horrible - I want something that acts more like the Thesaurus in MS Word, giving a dozen or so decent alternatives to the selected word.
I've downloaded a set of Adobe CS4 replacement icons, and I'd like to change the Adobe applications/document icons I have to use this new set. Is there an easy and efficient way I can do this?
we are currently using IIS 8 on our new windows VPS. We have a content management system we install for all our apps we build, but we are finding it incredibly painful as our hosting provider requires that we change the default 404 error page from the default settings everytime we create a site.
Is there an easy way within IIS to automatically apply this same default directory within each website so we dont need to edit it on every website we build ?
thanks in advance
I'd like to export all the policies set up in my Juniper SSG-550 running JunOS 5.1 but i can't find any way to do so.
Preferably in an easy to parse format (csv would be great).
Problem is the firmware is awfully outdated and I only have access to the webGUI, maybe there's a way to do that through the serial port but I just can't have acces to it.
Thanks in advance !
Where can I find free technical documentation on EMC Application EXtender? This is a distributed system for "Storage, Organization, and Management of Business-Critical Information".
The IT team where I'm in has on his machines an installation of a server of this product, but I'm having troubles finding knowledge about it.
There are Microsoft Windows or Web-based clients. The administration is "easy", but i have no manual or documentation that can help me understand, monitor or fix...
I'm learning vim right now as I use it to quickly fix something in files on server. Recently i've been thinking of switching from my IDE to vim, but I'm interested if all needed features are in vim or can be added with plugins. I develop mainly in PHP and JavaScript.
What I'm looking for is:
Context help (point on function and see its arguments from oxygen docs)
Code navigator (list of classes and functions in file to easy move between them)
Just a short and easy question, I hope.
Currently, I've got a primary domain linked to my (virtual) hosting server.
I now have a second domain name which I would like to link to a specific subdomain, i.e.
domainB.com/X - subdom.domainA.com/X
Preferably without having this redirect show up in the address bar.
Can this be achieved through DNS settings alone, or would it require me to add a .htaccess file in Domain A's root folder?
It's great that Lion allows different spaces to have different wallpapers, but I have not found an easy way to get them all to use the same wallpaper.
The only way I've accomplished it so far is to either manually change the wallpaper for each space or to close all of the spaces (except the one that has the wallpaper I want) and reopen them.
Anybody have a solution to allow me to quickly set all spaces to the same wallpaper?
On Windows Server 2008, is there an easy way to modify security permissions for multiple files at once (as with Windows Server 2003)? Right-click menu - properties does not provide a "Security" tab if more than one file/directory is selected (i.e. ctrl-click multiple files).
Is there really a valid security reason for changing this in Windows Server 2008?
top and uptime get me the server load average for the last 1, 5 and 15 minutes but is there an easy way to get the average load of yesterday or any other day for that matter?
We live in a place where we have a slow internet connection and get charged per MB. We have unlimited access to email though. Is there an easy way for somebody to send us the contents of a web page (news article) they are on other than copying and pasting the text.
Thanks,
Paul
I've never used Amazon EC2 - I am thinking to test a few instances for running intensive computation processes I have a requirement for rather than buying real hardware.
I am given to understand the thing is quite easy to setup - but I have no clue of how it actually works.
Can I upload disc images and install just any software as on any other virtual machine or is there any significant difference?
Any help appreciated!
So I'm a dual-booter. I'm looking for an easy way to keep up-to-date symlinks in my Linux home folder pointing to every file and folder in the root of Windows personal directory.
So, say I have foo.txt and bar.txt in C:\Windows\Documents and Settings\Nathaniel. I want symlinks of those files to automatically be made in /home/nathaniel/ (while I'm running Linux, of course).
I"m running OS X 10.6.8 and I would like to use gparted to resize a partition on my SD card by following instructions on this page:
http://mitchtech.net/easy-gui-install-re-partition-raspberry-pi-on-ubuntu/
However, it appears like gparted is suitable only for linux environment. I was wondering what alternatives do I have on os x to achieve increasing the size of the partition on my SD card?
Would appreciate all / any advice.
