• ExpandEnvironmentStrings Not Expanding My Variables

  I have a process under the Run key in the registry. It is trying to access an environment variable that I have defined in a previous session. I'm using ExpandEnvironmentStrings to expand the variable within a path. The environment variable is a user profile variable. When I run my process on the command line it does not expand as well. If I call 'set' I can see the variable. Some code...   I would like to automatically determine all of the properties (including the hidden ones) in a given Javascript object, via a generalization of this function: function keys(obj) { var ll = []; for(var pp in obj) { ll.push(pp); } return ll; } This works for user defined objects but fails for many builtins: repl> keys({"a":10,"b":2}); // ["a","b"] repl> keys(Math) // returns nothing! Basically, I'd like to write equivalents of Python's dir() and help(), which are really useful in exploring new objects. My understanding is that only the builtin objects have hidden properties (user code evidently can't set the "enumerable" property till HTML5), so one possibility is to simply hardcode the properties of Math, String, etc. into a dir() equivalent (using the lists such as those here). But is there a better way?

  Hi, If I defined a ENUM in a base object with serveral default values. When I inherit from the base object I want to add more options the the ENUM list which are specific to the inheriting object. For example my base could have a ENUM called Direction with values: None ALL Stop Start I create a new class call Compass which inherits the base class and what to add the following to the ENUM Direction. North South East West I create a new class call Navigation which inherits the base class and what to add the following to the ENUM Direction.   Hello I have multiple .sitemap xml defined with different providers. For one xml file, I want to change the url (append Customerid in the url) by taking the existing url in xml file. I want this to be changed when the page is loaded the first time. For eg one of my node is And I want to make it as I have read many articles online talking about changing node in memory but cant make it work. Any help would be appreciated. Not working with breadcrumbs or sitemapPath control.

  Hello! I have a few classes (heat, gas, contact, pressure) inheriting from a main one (sensor). I have a need to store them in a vector<Sensor *> (part of the specification). At some point in time, I need to call a function that indiscriminately stores those Sensor *. (also part of the specification, not open for discussion) Something like this: for(size_t i = 0; i < Sensors.size(); ++i) Sensors[i]->storeSensor(os) //os is an ofstream kind of object, passed onwards by reference Where and how shall storeSensor be defined?   If I have to predefine all the columns, how do I take the advantage of the variable column key/value structure of cassandra? If I use update table command, it will insert null for all the rows which don't have that column. This is same as relational DB. For example, for contact column family, I have name, phone, email. I have 100 contacts have all 3 field. Then number 101 contact has skype id which I want to add. If I use insert statement, it won't let me add skypeid since it's not defined in the CF. So I have to run alter statement to change the CF, then all the first 100 contacts will have a null field for each of them.

  i have a model (simplified) class Myfile < ActiveRecord::Base validates_attachment_size :body, :less_than => AdminOptions.first.max_file_size.megabytes end max_file_size is defined in AdminOptions fixture, but when i try to run "rake test", i get: /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-2.3.5/lib/active_support/whiny_nil.rb:52:in `method_missing': undefined method `max_file_size' for nil:NilClass (NoMethodError) from /myapp/app/models/myfile.rb:1 if i run ruby test/unit/myfile_test.rb i get same mistake. if i run: RAILS_ENV=test rake db:load:fixtures ruby test/unit/myfile_test.rb tests execute properly. if i try to RAILS_ENV=test rake db:load:fixtures rake test it fails with same mistake. does anyone know how to fix that?

• Change notification in CouchDB when a field is set

  Hi, I'm trying to get notifications in a CouchDB change poll as soon as pre-defined field is set or changed. I've already had a look at filters that can be used for filtering change events(db/_changes?filter=myfilter). However, I've not yet found a way to include this temporal information, because you can only get the current version of the document in this filter functions. Is there any possibility to create such a filter? If it does not work, I could export my field to a separate database and the only poll for changes in that db, but I'd prefer to keep together my data for obvious reasons. Thanks in advance!

• Seam reRender component in partial; reRender across naming containers

  Hello, I'm using seam to develop a simple web app. Using a4j commandButton in many places, with the property reRender="componentName" componentName is in most places a a4j outputPanel Which always worked, until I used a template. with include of two different views. reRender applied to the whole view does work, but reRender applied to an inner component does not. Same issue with page rules, all action I had defined are not functioning any more. When I compile this program by GCC with Makefile, the error named "undefined reference to xxx" occurs. I think my Makefile is written correctly as below.   Definition of SUCCEEDED(): #define SUCCEEDED(hr) (((HRESULT)(hr)) >= 0) Background: When an Ok button is clicked on a dialog, I need to return an HRESULT value hr such that SUCCEEDED(hr) is true. If Cancel button is clicked, I need to return a negative value. I could have used bools, but that would break the existing pattern (usually the hr values come from depths of system dlls). So, I know I can return S_OK on Ok, but what do I return on Cancel? I could just return (HRESULT)-1;, but there must be a better way - some HRESULT literal constant which has negative value and represents a generic failure. S_FALSE is not it, for it's value is defined as 1L. Please help me find the right constant.

• javascript not loading after output of PHP file_get_contents() string

  I have the following structure: -uploadpage.html -index.php -resources -jquery.1.4.2.min.js On my index.php, I get the contents then output uploadpage.html through this code: $output = file_get_contents("uploadpage.html"); echo $output; My upload.html has the javascript at the bottom: <script type="text/javscript" src="./resources/jquery-1.4.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready( function() { callSomething(); } ); function callSomething() {return true;} </script> However this results in an error "$ is not defined" which means that the jquery js file is not loaded.   Hello, I have created Views for Multiview dynamically . In the view control I have a Gridview control which has a checkbox control. I have a button in the main aspx page on click of which it will check(if checked or not) for all the checkbox and fetch the corresponding row from the gridview. The view is for tabbed menu. In each tab the the gridview populates the data in the runtime. Have defined the dynamic control in Page_PreInit. I'm not able to access the checkbox . How would I achieve this . Thanks

  I have a model "Product" with a "description" field. Now I want to have a link in the index page that when clicked will show all products where the description is blank (empty). In the model I have defined a named_scope like this named_scope :no_description, :conditions => { :description => "" } I have checked that the named_scope works by calling Product.no_description.count on the console. As far as I know, the controller is then supposed to handle the filter request from the link on the "index" action but be able to distinguish it from the default which is view all products. def index @products = Product.all ... My problem is getting the controller handle the different request, what route to setup for the link on the view and the actual link on the view. Hope I explained my problem.

• Is there a way to intersect/diff a std::map and a std::set?

  I'm wondering if there a way to intersect or make the differences between two structures defined as std::set<MyData*> and std::map<MyData*, MyValue> with standard algorithms (like std::set_intersect) The problem is that I need to compute the difference between the set and the keyset of the map but I would like to avoid reallocating it (since it's something that is done many times per second with large data structures). Is there a way to obtain a "key view" of the std::map? After all what I'm looking is to consider just the keys when doing the set operation so from an implementation point it should be possible but I haven't been able to find anything.

• Using 50+ 3rd party web services, should I use BizTalk or just C#?

  I'm building a back-end application that needs to fetch data on various schedules from over 50+ 3rd party web services and that number will continue to grow. The data from these services can currently be grouped into 3 types so each response needs to be mapped to 1 of 3 known schemas. Writing custom c# to hit each web service appears to be a management nightmare never mind having all that data mapping in code. The current thinking is build this on top of BizTalk 2009, still a lot of maintenance but at least a well defined platform with mapping/transformation capabilities already. I'm looking for any advise from anyone who might have done this before, does this really buy us anything? I am aware of a lack of polling features in BTS however there are enough work arounds to feel comfortable about the solution. Thanks!

  I need to use an implicit ordering that has been defined in an object in a file abc in the following way: object abc{ implicit def localTimeOrdering: Ordering[LocalDate] = Ordering.fromLessThan(_.isBefore(_)) } So, I make a package object xyz inside a file 'package.scala' that in turn is in the package 'xyz' that has files in which I need the implicit ordering to be applicable. I write something like this: package object xyz{ import abc._ } It does not seem to work. If I manually write the implicit definition statement inside the package object, it works perfectly. What is the correct way to import the object (abc) such that all of its objects/classes/definitions can be used in my entire package 'xyz' ?
