  Hi, I am trying to read enum from a XSD file. • Array property in Phing

  I have a phing build file that checks the permission of certain files using the <touch> task. <target description="list of files to check permission" name="files-to-test"> <property name="filesToCheck" value=""/> <php expression="file_get_contents('filesToCheck.txt')" returnProperty="filesToCheck"/> <foreach list="${filesToCheck}" param="file" target="permission-test"/> </target> <target description="Test the permission of files that needs to be written" name="permission-test"> <touch file="${file}"/> </target> It calls an extenal file(filesToCheck.txt) which is just a list of different file locations. This works fine. But it prevents me from reusing the same list in my PHP code when I want to access a particular file based on a certain key from the same external file(filesToCheck.txt). I looked through Phing's documentation but didn't find any array Task. Does anyone know of a work around or is creating a new task the only solution for handling an array property in Phing ?

• Linq to SQL generates StackOverflowException in tight Insert loop

  I'm parsing an XML file and inserting the rows into a table (and related tables) using LinqToSQL. I parse the XML file using LinqToXml into IEnumerable. Then, I create a foreach loop, where I build my LinqToSQL objects and call InsertOnSubmit and SubmitChanges at the end of each loop. Nothing special here. Usually, I make it through around 4,100 records before receiving a StackOverflowException from LinqToSql, right as I call SubmitChanges. It's not always on 4,100... sometimes it's 4102, sometimes, less, etc. I've tried inserting the records that generate the failure individually, but putting them in their own Xml file, but that inserts fine... so it's not the data. I'm running the whole process from an MVC2 app that is uploading the Xml file to the server. I've adjusted my WebRequest timeouts to appropriate values, and again, I'm not getting timeout errors, just StackOverflowExceptions. So is there some pattern that I should follow for times when I have to do many insertions into the database? I never encounter this exception on smaller Xml files, just larger ones.

  I am using Entity Framework 5 code first and ASP.NET MVC 3. I am struggling to get a child object's child object to populate. Below are my classes.. Application class; public class Application { // Partial list of properties public virtual ICollection<Child> Children { get; set; } } Child class: public class Child { // Partial list of properties public int ChildRelationshipTypeId { get; set; } public virtual ChildRelationshipType ChildRelationshipType { get; set; } } ChildRelationshipType class: public class ChildRelationshipType { public int Id { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } } Part of GetAll method in the repository to return all the applications: return DatabaseContext.Applications .Include("Children"); The Child class contains a reference to the ChildRelationshipType class. To work with an application's children I would have something like this: foreach (Child child in application.Children) { string childName = child.ChildRelationshipType.Name; } I get an error here that the object context is already closed. How do I specify that each child object must include the ChildRelationshipType object like what I did above?

• Asp.net web forms, Asp Identity - how to store claims from Facebook, Twitter, etc

  This request is based upon the new Visual Studio 2013 integration of Asp.net Identity stuff. I have seen some of the posts regarding this question for MVC, but for the life of me cannot get it to work for standard Web Forms. What I'm trying to do is populate the AspNetUserClaims table from the claims that I get back from Facebook (or other service). I actually can see the values coming back in the OnAuthenticated below, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to add these claims to the context of the currently logged in user? There are literally hundreds of MVC examples surrounding this, but alas no Web Forms examples. This should be completely straightforward, but for some reason I cannot match up the context of the currently logged in user to the claims and credentials coming back from Facebook. Currently after the OnAuthenticated fires, it obviously returns me to the page (RegisterExternalLogin.aspx) as the built-in example provides. However, the claims are gone, the context of the login to Facebook is gone, and I can't do anything else at this point.   I am writing a web application that grabs the http response headers from multiple sites (with RollingCurl.php) then stores it in an array and at the end outputs it in json format. Since some sites do redirects to new locations, $info (array) in “request_callback” function always has an url ($info[‘url’]) where the requested url was redirect.to, and it’s quite expected.   I'm building unit tests for class Foo, and I'm fairly new to unit testing. A key component of my class is an instance of BarCollection which contains a number of Bar objects. One method in Foo iterates through the collection and calls a couple methods on each Bar object in the collection. I want to use stub objects to generate a series of responses for my test class. How do I make the Bar stub class return different values as I iterate? I'm trying to do something along these lines: $stubs = array(); foreach ($array as $value) { $barStub->expects($this->any()) ->method('GetValue')) ->will($this->returnValue($value)); $stubs[] = $barStub; } // populate stubs into `Foo` // assert results from `Foo->someMethod()` So Foo->someMethod() will produce data based on the results it receives from the Bar objects. But this gives me the following error whenever the array is longer than one: There was 1 failure: 1) testMyTest(FooTest) with data set #2 (array(0.5, 0.5)) Expectation failed for method name is equal to <string:GetValue> when invoked zero or more times. Mocked method does not exist. /usr/share/php/PHPUnit/Framework/MockObject/Mock.php(193) : eval()'d code:25 One thought I had was to use ->will($this->returnCallback()) to invoke a callback method, but I don't know how to indicate to the callback which Bar object is making the call (and consequently what response to give). Another idea is to use the onConsecutiveCalls() method, or something like it, to tell my stub to return 1 the first time, 2 the second time, etc, but I'm not sure exactly how to do this. I'm also concerned that if my class ever does anything other than ordered iteration on the collection, I won't have a way to test it.

• MySql Query lag time / deadlock?

  When there are multiple PHP scripts running in parallel, each making an UPDATE query to the same record in the same table repeatedly, is it possible for there to be a 'lag time' before the table is updated with each query? I have basically 5-6 instances of a PHP script running in parallel, having been launched via cron. Each script gets all the records in the items table, and then loops through them and processes them. However, to avoid processing the same item more than once, I store the id of the last item being processed in a seperate table. So this is how my code works: function getCurrentItem() { $sql = "SELECT currentItemId from settings"; $result = $this->db->query($sql); return $result->get('currentItemId'); } function setCurrentItem($id) { $sql = "UPDATE settings SET currentItemId='$id'"; $this->db->query($sql); } $currentItem = $this->getCurrentItem(); $sql = "SELECT * FROM items WHERE status='pending' AND id > $currentItem'"; $result = $this->db->query($sql); $items = $result->getAll(); foreach ($items as $i) { //Check if $i has been processed by a different instance of the script, and if so, //leave it untouched. if ($this->getCurrentItem() > $i->id) continue; $this->setCurrentItem($i->id); // Process the item here } But despite of all the precautions, most items are being processed more than once. Which makes me think that there is some lag time between the update queries being run by the PHP script, and when the database actually updates the record. Is it true? And if so, what other mechanism should I use to ensure that the PHP scripts always get only the latest currentItemId even when there are multiple scripts running in parrallel? Would using a text file instead of the db help?

• Implementing a State Machine in Angular.js to control routing

  Can anyone help me with integrating a state machine to control routing? What's the best method to do this? Create a service? I need to basically intercept every $location request, run the state machine and let it figure out what the next $location.path should be. Think of the problem like a bank of questions that get added and removed over time. The user visits once in a while, passes in the user's answers object to the statemachine, and the statemachine figures out which question to load. This is my pseudocode, but i need to figure out where to put this or what event I can hook into to make sure all route requests are passed through the machine. Do I need a specific stateMachine controller? Do I create a service? Where do I use the service?   Hello, I am trying to find every "a - b, c, d" pattern in an input string. The pattern I am using is the following : "^[ \t]*(\\w+)[ \t]*->[ \t]*(\\w+)((?:,[ \t]*\\w+)*)$" This pattern is a C# pattern, the "\t" refers to a tabulation (its a single escaped litteral, intepreted by the .NET String API), the "\w" refers to the well know regex litteral predefined class, double escaped to be interpreted as a "\w" by the .NET STring API, and then as a "WORD CLASS" by the .NET Regex API. The input is : a -> b b -> c c -> d The function is : private void ParseAndBuildGraph(String input) { MatchCollection mc = Regex.Matches(input, "^[ \t]*(\\w+)[ \t]*->[ \t]*(\\w+)((?:,[ \t]*\\w+)*)$", RegexOptions.Multiline); foreach (Match m in mc) { Debug.WriteLine(m.Value); } } The output is : c -> d Actually, there is a problem with the line ending "$" special char. If I insert a "\r" before "$", it works, but I thought "$" would match any line termination (with the Multiline option), especially a \r\n in a Windows environment. Is it not the case ?

  I have a Excel addin that displays some structures on the worksheet. Users can copy the structures and paste them in another worksheet or another application which is handled by the Clipboard formats. When a user copies the structure, I convert the structure into a specific format and put it on the clipboard using the DataObject::SetData(). Please note that when a copy is initiated in Excel, it puts a number of formats on the clipboard (see image). The problem is that there is a third party application that depends on the data on the clipboard(Copy from Excel and paste into this 3rd party app) but the funny thing is that I am not sure which format it depends on. I need to preserve the existing formats that Excel has put up there and also add my own format to it. Currently when I use the Clipboard class in .NET (taking the DataObject and calling SetData inside it), all the other formats are replaced by new ones. I then tried to create a new DataObject, copy the existing format data to this data object and then set this data object in the Clipboard. • yahoo's attribute exchange -> blank data is coming

  Hello everybody, I am trying to build openid login system for my website. To do this I used JanRain's php openid library v 2.1.3. I am also using openid selector to select the openid provider from the list. • Accessing an excel file throws OleDbException but keeps handle on file

  Really odd that I'd get an oledbexception but turns out that the file's handle is still with the original file. I've been searching through google and keep finding the same problem but no solutions. Connection String: "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" + "Data Source=" + filePath + ";" + "Extended Properties=Excel 8.0;"; Note that it works on every other file except a particular excel file. Exception: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: No error information available: E_UNEXPECTED(0x8000FFFF). • .Net website create directory to remote server access denied

  I have a web application that creates directories. The application works fine when creating a directory on the web server, however, it does not work when it tries to create a directory on our remote fileserver. The fileserver and the webserver are in the same domain. I have created a local user in our domain, "DOMAIN\aspnet". The local user is on both servers. I am running my .Net app pool under the domain user. I have also tried using windows impersonate in the web.config to run under the domain user. I have verified that the domain user has full control to the remote directory. In an effort to debug this I have also given the "everyone" full control to the remote directory. In an effort to debug this I have also added the domain user to the administrators group. I have a simple .net test page on the web server to test this. Through the test page I am able to read the directory on the file server and get a list of everything in it. I am not able to upload files or to create directories on the file server. Here's code that works: var path = @"\\fileserver\images\"; var di = new DirectoryInfo(path); foreach (var d in di.GetDirectories()) { Response.Write(d.Name); } Here's code that doesn't work: path = Path.Combine(path, "NewDirectory"); Directory.CreateDirectory(path); Here's the error I'm getting: Access to the path '\fileserver\images\NewDirectory' is denied. I'm pretty stuck on this. Any ideas?

I read testimonies that SqlBulkCopy is the fastest. 1000 records 2.5 seconds. files contain anywhere near 5000 records to 250k What are some of the things that can slow it down?
