    Project is now on github and here is the link to my issue I successfully compiled the whole thing and able to run rejector and rejectee separately.   • Working with processes in C

    Hi, just a quick question regarding C and processes. In my program, I create another child process and use a two-directional pipe to communicate between the child and parent. The child calls execl() to run yet another program. My question is: I want the parent to wait n amount of seconds and then check if the program that the child has run has exited (and with what status). Something like waitpid() but if the child doesn't exit in n seconds, I'd like to do something different.

    Okay so, I'm wondering how to unbind an inline onclick event in jQuery. You'd think .unbind() would work, however it doesn't.     I created the ItemGroup shown in the code snippet. I need to iterate through this ItemGroup and run the EXEC command - also shown in the code snippet. I cannot seem to get it to work. The code returns the error shown below (note - the Message is written 2 times, which is correct), but the EXEC Command is not running correctly. The value is not being set; therefore the EXEC is not executing at all. I need the EXEC to execute twice or by however sections I define in the ItemGroup.     We have developed an ASP.NET website on a Windows 7 - 32 bit platform using Visual Studio 2008. This website is being hosted at a hosting company where we share a server with hundreds of other ASP.NET websites. We are in the process of changing our hosting to a dedicated Windows 2008 - 64 bit server. We have installed Visual Studio on this new server in order to debug our application. If we try to start the application on this new server using Visual Studios 2008's own web server (not IIS 7) we get the error below. We have tried to compile the application in both 32 as well as 64 bit mode. We also tried to compile to "Any CPU". But nothing helps.   • Amazon EC2 php/fedora htaccess mod_rewrite not working

    Amazon EC2 with Fedora, there are 2 instances of the httpd conf, the doc root is automatically set as /home/webuser/helloworld/conf/httpd.conf and the default (which is also there) is /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf . Mod rewrite is enabled with both, we are in drupal, the .htaccess is in the folder it needs to be (on Drupal) and it loads the homepage and other static files fine, but it WILL not use htaccess. Any thoughts?

  • Drupal Imagecache not working

    I created an Imagecache setting that just resizes to 125px wide. First issue is that the preview image is 404. Then I want to print out an image via <?php print theme('imagecache', 'imported_image', $node->picture, 'test', 'test', $attributes); ?> 'imported_image' being the preset and $node-picture is a correct path. The html prints out ok but the path it's trying load the image from does not exist. In sites/default/files/imagecache there is no folder with the name of the preset. Flushing the preset does nothing. The imagecache folder is writeable by everyone. This is on MAMP. Anyone know what the issue could be?

  • Delete or comment out non-working JUnit tests?

    I'm currently building a CI build script for a legacy application. There are sporadic JUnit tests available and I will be integrating a JUnit execution of all tests into the CI build. However, I'm wondering what to do with the 100'ish failures I'm encountering in the non-maintained JUnit tests. Do I: 1) Comment them out as they appear to have reasonable, if unmaintained, business logic in them in the hopes that someone eventually uncomments them and fixes them 2) Delete them as its unlikely that anyone will fix them and the commented out code will only be ignored or be clutter for evermore 3) Track down those who have left this mess in my hands and whack them over the heads with the printouts of the code (which due to long-method smell will be sufficently suited to the task) while preaching the benefits of a well maintained and unit tested code base

    My html anchor is as follows. <a name="template-8"/> <h4 class="template" id="template-8">A title</h4> As far as I know the browser should skip to the element matching either name or id attributes. When I type in the url http://my.site.com/templates#template-8 safari jumps down the page as expected. However when linking as below the anchor does nothing. Chrome, Opera, IE7 and Firefox all work. <a href="http://my.site.com/templates#template-8">A link</a> Safari is version 5.0, could this be a safari bug?

    There is a mouseUpEvent listener attached to the stage, while dragging the movieClip the mouseUpEvent doesnot trigger the handler somehow the mouseUp gets lost. While the item is being dragged and the mouse is moved away from the movieClip i.e somewhere not on the item but on the stage the mouseUp is detected. Any ideas!!

    I have this code setup to track image downloads throught Google Analytics. <a href="/media/37768/CC20100117m001_thumb_2000.jpg" onclick="pageTracker._trackEvent('Image', 'Download', 'file.jpg');" class="hi-res track"> Hi-Res</a> But the events don't ever show up in the GA reports. I thought maybe the the browser was following the link before the javascript was being run but setting href="#" doesn't work either. Any ideas?
