• How can I Find out what BCL types a custom type is using its method?

  If I have a class, eg T1, and I want to know what classes in the BCL it is using, how could I do this? I came up with this: T1.GetType().GetMethods().Where(x => x.DeclaringType.Namespace == "System"); But this will get all methods in my custom type, but I want to look inside each Method, so I was hoping I could do something like: T1.GetType().GetMethods().BodyTypesUsed; to check if my method uses a type like Streamwriter. How could I achieve this?

• c++ link temporary allocations in fuction to custom allocator?

  Hi, I am currently working on some simple custom allocators in c++ which generally works allready. I also overloaded the new/delete operators to allocate memory from my own allocator. Anyways I came across some scenarios where I don't really know where the memory comes from like this: void myFunc(){ myObj testObj(); ....do something with it } In this case testObj would only be valid inside the function, but where would its memory come from? Is there anyway I could link it to my allocator? Would I have to create to object using new and delete or is there another way? Thanks

  I want to make a custom made component (a line chart), that would be used in other applications. I don't know 2 things: 1) Where should I use (within component class!) the methods for drawing, like FillRect or PolyLine? In OnPaint handler that I should define and map it in MESSAGE MAP? Will it (OnPaint handler) be called from OnPaint handler of the dialog of the application or where from? 2)How to connect the component, once it is made, to the test application, which will for example be dialog based?   I just finished to implement a custom functionality in one of the page articles in my Joomla website using sorcerer. In this page it is possible to query a hash and lookup it against a database. I would like to store the last 5 queries and show them in the page but I don't know how to do it. I need something as Java EE "Application Context" to store this values and make them available to all the users so using a Session to store this values is not what I need. I saw in the documentation that in Joomla exists JApplicacion but none of his methods allows me to store data.

• FileNotFoundException when running WiX CustomAction with COMAdmin interop

  I am trying to create a WiX custom action which will allow me to shutdown and clear down a COM+ package as part of an upgrade installation, or create and configure a new COM+ package as part of the initial installation. I previously had this running as a CustomAction within a standard Visual Studio MSI but this only allows the custom action to be executed after the files have been copied - which will fail as the package will still be running. The COMAdmin.dll has been added as a reference to the CustomAction project and is set CopyLocal=true. In the bin folder for the custom action project the Interop.COMAdmin.dll is present. The answer to this question seems to suggest that it should work. • Need AngularJS grid resizing directive to resize "thumbnail" that contains no image

I need all of the grid elements to have the same size so they stack properly. I created an angularJs directive that auto resizes the grid element when placed in said grid element. I have 2 directives that do this for me Directive 1: onload Directive 2: imageonload Directive 2 works. If the grid element uses an image, after the image loads then the directive triggers an event that sends the grid elements height to all other grid elements. If that height sent out via the event is greater than that of the grid element which is listening to the event then that listening grid element changes it's height to be the greater height. This way the largest height becomes the height for all the grid elements. Directive 1 does not work. This one is placed on the outer most grid elements html element, and is triggered when the element loads. The problem is that when the element loads and the onload directive is called AngularJS has not yet filled out the data in said grid element. The outcome is that the real height after AngularJS data binds is not broadcast as an event. My only solution I have thought of (but haven't tried) is to add an image url to an image that exists but doesn't have any data in it, and place that in the grid element (the one that didn't have any images before placing the blank one in). I could then call imageonload instead of onload and I pretty sure the angularjs data binding will have taken place by then. the problem is that that is pretty hacky. I would rather be able to have not an image in the grid element, and be able to call my custom onload directive and have the onload directive calculate the height AFTER angularJS data binds to all of the data binding variables in the grid element. We have to have this so the directive knows which html element to set the new height on. also I use the "title" attribute to set which grid this grid resizing is for (that way you can use the directive multiple times on the same page for different grids and not have the events for the wrong grid triggered). Does anyone know how I can get the "onload" directive to get called AFTER angularJS binds to the grid element? Just for completeness here are 2 images (almost looks like just 1), the second is a grid that contains grid elements that have images and use the "imageonload" directive and the first is a grid that contains grid elements that do not use images and only uses the "onload" directive.

• environment change in rake task

  I am developing Rails v2.3 app with MySQL database and mysql2 gem. I faced a weird situation which is about changing the environment in rake task. (all my setting and configurations for environment and database are correct, no problem for that.) Here is my simple story : I have a rake task like following: namespace :db do task :do_something => :environment do #1. run under 'development' environment my_helper.run_under_development_env #2. change to 'custom' environment RAILS_ENV='custom' Rake::Task['db:create'] Rake::Task['db:migrate'] #3. change back to 'development' environment RAILS_ENV='development' #4. But it still run in 'customer' environment, why? my_helper.run_under_development_env end end The rake task is quite simple, what it does is: 1. Firstly, run a method from my_helper under "development" environment 2. Then, change to "custom" environment and run db:create and db:migrate until now, everything is fine, the environment did change to "custom" 3. Then, change it back again to "development" environment 4. run helper method again under "development" environment But, though I have changed the environment back to "development" in step 3, the last method still run in "custom" environment, why? and how to get rid of it? --- P.S. --- I have also checked a post with the similar situation here, and tried to use the solution there like (in step 2): ActiveRecord::Base.establish_connection('custom') Rake::Task['db:create'] Rake::Task['db:migrate'] to change the database connection instead of changing environment but, the db:create and db:migrate will still run under "development" database, though the linked post said it should run for "custom" database... weird

  I have two classes Software, Tag - they are related by ManyToMany. We CAN NOT create Software without putting the Tag to it. I guess it is not good test for that case - because it even do not try to SAVE data to SOFTWARE_TAG table. Of course i could do validation manually but i want implement it with hibernate, using some annotation or something. Is it possible? Or how would you do this? • How to get acts on taggable working

  I am new to ruby on rails (and programming) and this is probably a really stupid question. I am using Rails 3.2 and trying to use acts_as_taggable_on to generate tags on articles and to have those tags show on article index and show pages as a clickable links. I have tags clickable on both the article show and index pages, but the links just go back to the index page and don't sort according to the tag name. I have scoured the Internet and pieced together the code below from various sources, but I am clearly missing something. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I have exhausted my seemingly limited knowledge! Thanks. • How to make Spring load a JDBC Driver BEFORE initializing Hibernate's SessionFactory?

  I'm developing a Spring(2.5.6)+Hibernate(3.2.6) web application to connect to a custom database. For that I have custom JDBC Driver and Hibernate Dialect. I know for sure that these custom classes work (hard coded stuff on my unit tests). The problem, I guess, is with the order on which things get loaded by Spring. Basically: Custom Database initializes Spring load beans from web.xml Spring loads ServletBeans(applicationContext.xml) Hibernate kicks in: shows version and all the properties correctly loaded. Hibernate's HbmBinder runs (maps all my classes) LocalSessionFactoryBean - Building new Hibernate SessionFactory DriverManagerConnectionProvider - using driver: MyCustomJDBCDriver at CustomDBURL I get a SQLException: No suitable driver found for CustomDBURL Hibernate loads the Custom Dialect My CustomJDBCDriver finally gets registered with DriverManager (log messages) SettingsFactory runs SchemaExport runs (hbm2ddl) I get a SQLException: No suitable driver found for CustomDBURL (again?!) Application get successfully deployed but there are no tables on my custom Database. Things that I tried so far: Different techniques for passing hibernate properties: embedded in the 'sessionFactory' bean, loaded from a hibernate.properties file. Nothing worked but I didn't try with hibernate.cfg.xml file neither with a dataSource bean yet. MyCustomJDBCDriver has a static initializer block that registers it self with the DriverManager. Tried different combinations of lazy initializing (lazy-init="true") of the Spring beans but nothing worked. My custom JDBC driver should be the first thing to be loaded - not sure if by Spring but...! Can anyone give me a solution for this or maybe a hint for what else I could try? I can provide more details (huge stack traces for instance) if that helps. Thanks in advance.

I add a new tag with this date to the db at the timestamp and I run delta import command. the select retrieves the line but i dont see any other sql.   Since "bug in .NET" is often not the real cause of a problem, I wonder if I'm missing something here. What I'm doing feels pretty simple. I'm iterating through the elements in a HtmlDocument called doc like this: System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine("*** " + doc.Url + " ***"); foreach (HtmlElement field in doc.All) System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(string.Format("Tag = {0}, ID = {1} ", field.TagName, field.Id)); I then discovered the debug window output was this: Tag = !, ID = Tag = HTML, ID = Tag = HEAD, ID = Tag = TITLE, ID = Tag = LINK, ID = ... when the actual HTML document looks like this: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>Protocol</title> <link rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="ProtocolStyle.css"> </head> <body onselectstart="return false"> <table> <!-- Misc. table elements and cell values --> </table> </body> </html> Commenting out the LINK tag solves the issue for me, and the document is completely parsed. The ProtocolStyle.css file exist on disk and is loaded properly, if that would matter. Is this a bug in .NET 3.5 SP1, or what? For being such a web-oriented framework, I find it hard to believe there would be such a major bug in it.

The only thing it does is receives incoming calls and executes a Perl script. No outgoing calls, no incoming calls to an actual phone, no phones registered with Asterisk. It seems like there should be an easy way to block all unauthorized registration attempts, but I have struggled with this for a long time. It seems like there should be a more effective way to prevent these attempts from even getting far enough to reach my Asterisk logs. Some setting I could turn on/off that doesn't allow registration attempts at all or something. Is there any way to do this? Also, am I correct in assuming that the "Registration from ..." messages are likely people attempting to get access to my Asterisk server (probably to make calls on my account)? And what's the difference between those messages and the "Sending fake auth rejection ..." messages? Further detail: I know that the "Registration from ..." lines are intruders attempting to get access to my Asterisk server. With Fail2Ban set up, these IPs are banned after 5 attempts (for some reason, one got 6 attempts, but w/e). But I have no idea what the "Sending fake auth rejection ..." messages mean or how to stop these potential intrusion attempts. As far as I can tell, they have never been successful (haven't seen any weird charges on my bills or anything). Here's what I have done: Set up hardware firewall rules as shown below. • Changing the prompt in telnet

  With some help from people on here, I was able to set a custom prompt in an ssh session (thanks!). Now I need to do the same in telnet, but I'm not sure of what syntax I could use for that. Basically the telnet prompt is just a > character, I need to modify it to something I can more reliably detect in automation jobs. Hope this makes sense.
