• Writing a line in a JTextArea from another class

  I'm trying to use a Method in my class 'Visual' to write a line of code into a JTextArea and it prints when I call it from 'Visual' but when I call it from 'Login' It only prints Text into the Console, not to the TextArea. private static Visual Visual; Visual.WriteLine("I'm sorry, your username or password is incorrect. • Implementing clone on a LinkedList

  I am trying to implement a clone() method on a DoubleLinkedList. Now, the problem is that implementing it by "the convention" is a lot more troublesome than just creating a new DoubleLinkedList and filling it with all the elements of my current DoubleLinkedList. Is there any inconvenient I am not seeing when doing that? • Getting Http Status code number (200, 301, 404, etc.) from HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse

  I am trying to get the HTTP status code number from the HttpWebResponse object returned from a HttpWebRequest. I was hoping to get the actual numbers (200, 301,302, 404, etc.) rather than the text description. ("Ok", "MovedPermanently", etc.) Is the number buried in a property somewhere in the response object? Any ideas other than creating a big switch function? Thanks.   I have a SQL 2008 table with a field called RecDate of type DateTimeOffset. For a given record the value is '2010-04-01 17:19:23.62 -05:00' In C# I create a DataTable and fill it with the results of "SELECT RecDate FROM MyTable". I need to get the milliseconds, but if I do the following the milliseconds are always 0: DateTimeOffset dto = DateTimeOffset.Parse(dt.Rows[0][0].ToString()); What is the proper way to get the value in the RecDate column into the dto variable?   I have a c# .net web application. I create session variables but when I try to read them after I leave the page that they were created from I can't. Created on page 1 Session["UserName"] = "WhatEver"; Then I do Response.Redirect("~/whatever.aspx"); and try to read to read the session variable in the Page_Load method of the new page string userName = Session["UserName"].ToString(); I receive "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Why am I receiving this error and what can I do to fix the problem? I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me.

  I want to remove all special characters from a string. Allowed characters are A-Z (uppercase or lowercase), numbers (0-9), underscore (_), or the dot sign (.). • Can't set element ID in JavaScript, it's always undefined

  Hi, I want to have a function that generates ID's on the fly for a given jquery object, if it doesn't have one already. These ID's should then be used in future requests. I came up with the code below, but it doesn't work. The ID's are never set. The commented out alert statement below always return undefined. I always pass code like $(this) or $(options.el) as a parameter to substitute 'el'. Initially, the elements do not have explicitly ID set in HTML. • Textbox is disabled after adding text dynamically in codebehind

  Can't quite work out what is happening but The background is that I am dynamically adding table rows in a web page and some of the cells hold controls such as dropdowns etc. One of the columns pulls a size into it. However the column I am having issues with is the next column which takes the text from teh previous dropdown and shows the appropriate price. On doing htis however the textbox which is being created appears to turn into a label as I cannot select or adjust the text that has been put in there. var gotPrice =(from a in getPrice.Sizes where a.Size1 == Size.SelectedValue select a).First(); TextBox Price = new TextBox(); Price.Width = 100; PriceField.Controls.Add(Price); PriceField.Text = gotPrice.RackRate.ToString(); I have tried then calling .Enabled but still the text box is not editable. any help appreciated.

Now I have not created any object of this enum so that no one can use it for other than read only purpose. For this enum to be accessible in outer classes as well I have to make it public which means some outer class can create its object as well. So what can i do so as to restrict its object creation.

To ensure a unique naming, I tried to use the nano seconds since 1.1.1970: long time = DateTime.Now.Ticks; String fileName = Convert.ToString(time); Console.WriteLine(fileName); Now I observed something weird. Why is the output like that? I mean why are the last 4 numbers always the same?
