  In my application I generate files at random opportunities. To ensure a unique naming, I tried to use the nano seconds since 1.1.1970: long time = DateTime.Now.Ticks; String fileName = Convert.ToString(time); Console.WriteLine(fileName); Now I observed something weird. Why is the output like that? I mean why are the last 4 numbers always the same? • How do I not include part of a regular expression

  I'm pretty new to using regexes and I can figure out how I would go about extracted a specific number from a string. Suppose the string was any amount of whitespace or random text and somewhere within it is this, "Value: $1000.00." In order to retrieve that value I am currently using this: string value = Convert.ToString(Regex.Match(BodyContent, @"Value:[ \t]*\$?\d*(\.[0-9]{2})?", RegexOptions.Singleline)); So the variable 'value' now has, "Value: $1000.00" stored in it. My question is, using Regex is there a way to use 'Value:' to find the number value but only store the actual number value (i.e. 1000.00) in the 'value' variable?

  I have a simple class that essentially just holds some values. I have overridden the ToString() method to return a nice string representation. Now, I want to create a ToXml() method, that will return something like this: <Song> <Artist>Bla</Artist> <Title>Foo</Title> </Song> Of course, I could just use a StringBuilder here, but I would like to return an XmlNode or XmlElement, to be used with XmlDocument.AppendChild. I do not seem to be able to create an XmlElement other than calling XmlDocument.CreateElement, so I wonder if I have just overlooked anything, or if I really either have to pass in either a XmlDocument or ref XmlElement to work with, or have the function return a String that contains the XML I want?

Takes even longer testers' machines. Is there anything I can do to speed up this code? Or is interop just inherently slow?

Would I be able to search the registryPath variable above and get a count of the number of keys containing the "Entry Point" keyword? Assuming that there are also other keys existing without this keyword.   I'm using OleDbDataReader rdr to read a "Comments" field in BLOB form (sub_type 1 segment size 80) into a string from an Interbase DB, and I keep getting exceptions. Any suggestions? However, when I try something like "www.google.com" it crashes with: No Activity found to handle Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=www.google.com } Am I using Uri wrong? Is there a way to extract full address from it? Or am I supposed to write code that adds http manually? e.g, if not starts with http://, add http://. Thanks!
