    I need to disable the Mouse Clicks, Mouse movement and Keyboard Inputs for a specific windows for a Kiosk application. Is it Feasible in C# ? I have removed the menu bar and title bar of a specific window, will that be a starting point to achieve the above requirement ?   • Use WPF DLL Assembly in ASP.NET problem

    Hello, I have C++ project that compiles as DLL Assembly in .NET 3.5 SP1 Project is used for Image rendering processing by using WPF (it loads 2 images from local folder, applies one image on another and saves the output file in the same folder). I want to use that that project as a reference in ASP.NET project to the rendering on the website. So I created simple Web Project in ASP.NET C# that uses C++ project as a Reference. Everything works great in ASP.NET Web Development Server (built-in Web server in VS2008). But once I publish this project to IIS on the same Machine or use IIS for debug instead of built-in Web server Image rendering it's not working anymore. I'm not getting any exceptions or error messages, it just output image is not processes as it supposed to be. If anyone know what could cause that I would really appreciate your insight!

Also when I close the spell checker the main form is back to normal. It seems like it is opening up Microsoft word then hiding the window, only allowing the spell checker to be seen. Please help.

    I have an Alfresco document reference; what I'm looking for is a way to access workflow attached to that document and finish it (or progress it to the next transition) through Javascript. Almost every example on the web shows how to start workflow, and from the dashlet I could call task command processor (/alfresco/command/task/end/[/transition]) if I knew the task ID, but how do I do the same thing from server-side web script starting only from the document reference? There must be a way to access workflows from document and manage them programatically.

    I have to invoke a method present in a view controller who's reference is available in the view. When I try to call the method like any other method, for some reason, iPhone just ignores the call. Can somebody explain as to why this happens and also how can I go about invoking this method?     Anybody manage to get .net 4.0 applications compiling on a CI server without installing visual studio 2010 on a CI server. No SDK exists for .net 4.0. Have installed .NET 4.0 on CI Server. Msbuild.exe works for simple projects and give the following warning (GetReferenceAssemblyPaths target) - C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets(847,9): warning MSB3644: The reference assemblies for framework ".NETFramework,Version=v4.0" were not found. To resolve this, install the SDK or Targeting Pack for this framework version or retarget your application to a version of the framework for which you have the SDK or Targeting Pack installed. Note that assemblies will be resolved from the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) and will be used in placeof reference assemblies. Therefore your assembly may not be correctly targeted for the framework you intend.

    All, I have a main window that contains two custom objects (AnimatedCharacter). These objects are nothing but images. These images might contain transparent portions. One of these objects slightly overlaps the other object. I can walk the for loop fine, but when that line is hit, I get the following console statement. Step into: Stepping over non-user code 'System.MulticastDelegate.CtorClosed' No exceptions are thrown.     I have created a windows service in C# VS2008 that uses a reference to an external class library to wrote. I have added the reference to it in VS2008. When I run start the service it throws an exception when trying to access the external DLL: Could not load file or assembly 'vcribAPI, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. The DLL is in the same directory as the service.exe file. Is there something special that I need to do for windows services like putting the DLL in another directory?

    I recently had an issue after upgrading my .net framework to 4.0 from 3.5, I did this because in 4.0 the SMTPClient finally sends a QUIT command to the SMTP server.     It's easy to find duplicates with one field SELECT name, COUNT(email) FROM users GROUP BY email HAVING ( COUNT(email) > 1 ) So if we have a table ID NAME EMAIL 1 John [email protected] 2 Sam [email protected] 3 Tom [email protected] 4 Bob [email protected] 5 Tom [email protected] This query will give us John, Sam, Tom, Tom because they all have the same e-mails. But what I want, is to get duplicates with the same e-mails and names. I want to get Tom, Tom. I made a mistake, and allowed to insert duplicate name and e-mail values. Now I need to remove/change the duplicates. But I need to find them first.

    I have an iPhone app that makes use of the AddressBook.framework and uses Core Data to store these contacts. In order to make sure I update my own database when the Address Book is updated (whether via MobileMe or editing within my own app), I am subscribing to the notification as to when the Address Book is updating. I call this on startup: ABAddressBookRef book = ABAddressBookCreate(); ABAddressBookRegisterExternalChangeCallback(book, addressBookChanged, self); Which (supposedly) calls this on any editing. I have an ABPersonViewController which allows editing, and addressBookChanged never seems to get called. void addressBookChanged(ABAddressBookRef reference, CFDictionaryRef dictionary, void *context) { // The contacts controller we need to call ContactsController *contacts = (ContactsController *)context; // Sync with the Address Book [contacts synchronizeWithAddressBook:reference]; } Is there any reason for it to not be called?

    My basic question is, in .NET, how do I clone WebControls? I would like to build a custom tag, which can produce multiple copies of its children. Ultimately I intend to build a tag similar to in JSP/Struts. But the first hurdle I have is the ability to duplicate/clone the contents of a control. Consider this rather contrived example; <custom:duplicate count="2"> <div> <p>Some html</p> <asp:TextBox id="tb1" runat="server" /> </div> </custom:duplicate> The HTML markup which is output would be something like, <div> <p>Some html</p> <input type="text" id="tb1" /> </div> <div> <p>Some html</p> <input type="text" id="tb1" /> </div> Note: I know i have the id duplicated, I can come up with a solution to that later! So what we would have is my custom control with 3 children (I think) - a literal control, a TextBox control, and another literal control. In this example I have said 'count=2' so what the control should do is output/render its children twice. What I would hope to do is write some "OnInit" code which does something like: List<WebControl> clones; for(int i=1; i<count; i++) { foreach(WebControl c in Controls) { WebControl clone = c.Clone(); clones.Add(clone); } } Controls.AddRange(clones); However, as far as I can tell, WebControls do not implement ICloneable, so its not possible to clone them in this way. Any ideas how I can clone WebControls?

  • Web Service URL change is not recognized

    I deployed in a production environment a .net solution that consumes a web service added as "Service reference" in visual studio. Today the endpoint URL has changed, and I modified that URL in web.config. But when I run the solution I get the error: System.ServiceModel.FaultException: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://93.62.150.200/LogEvent. Now that sound strange to me. As you can see, the IP is 93.62.... but the new value is different. The web.config entry (with the new value or the URL) is: <client> <endpoint address="http://213.92.50.215/sawfc/WS_SAWFC_Int.asmx" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="wsSAWFCInterfaceSoap" contract="it.datasphere.ws.wsSAWFCInterfaceSoap" name="wsSAWFCInterfaceSoap" /> </client> I cannot reach the new web service from dev environment, so I cannot modify the Service reference there. Is it posible? For now I use dtd validation (I have xsd schema too) for validating Fo, but it give me an error on each xsl tag. Summary. Is it posiible to validate only fo elements against the schema, ignoring xsl tags, and how should I do it? Maybe a code snnippet in C#, or a hint how to modify documents? Thanks in advance!

  • Unit finalization order for application, compiled with run-time packages?

    I need to execute my code after finalization of SysUtils unit. I've placed my code in separate unit and included it first in uses clause of dpr-file, like this: project Project1; uses MyUnit, // <- my separate unit SysUtils, Classes, SomeOtherUnits; procedure Test; begin // end; begin SetProc(Test); end. MyUnit looks like this: unit MyUnit; interface procedure SetProc(AProc: TProcedure); implementation var Test: TProcedure; procedure SetProc(AProc: TProcedure); begin Test := AProc; end; initialization finalization Test; end. Note that MyUnit doesn't have any uses. This is usual Windows exe, no console, without forms and compiled with default run-time packages. MyUnit is not part of any package (but I've tried to use it from package too). I expect that finalization section of MyUnit will be executed after finalization section of SysUtils. This is what Delphi's help tells me. However, this is not always the case. I have 2 test apps, which differs a bit by code in Test routine/dpr-file and units, listed in uses. MyUnit, however, is listed first in all cases. One application is run as expected: Halt0 - FinalizeUnits - ...other units... - SysUtils's finalization - MyUnit's finalization - ...other units... But the second is not. MyUnit's finalization is invoked before SysUtils's finalization. The actual call chain looks like this: Halt0 - FinalizeUnits - ...other units... - SysUtils's finalization (skipped) - MyUnit's finalization - ...other units... - SysUtils's finalization (executed) Both projects have very similar settings. I tried a lot to remove/minimize their differences, but I still do not see a reason for this behaviour. I've tried to debug this and found out that: it seems that every unit have some kind of reference counting. And it seems that InitTable contains multiply references to the same unit. When SysUtils's finalization section is called first time - it change reference counter and do nothing. Then MyUnit's finalization is executed.
