  • Error log of make command in Linux

    I am compiling a kernel module and it has many compilation errors in it. After running "make", the errors thrown out are too many to fit in the screen. Scrolling up doesn't reach the first error. I tried capturing the errors by doing make &2 log which didn't work (log file was empty and the error messages were still dumped on screen). Can someone please tell me how to go about logging all the messages generated during compilation/make into a logfile?

    I have a very strange bug, which I believe is caused by some code we have executing, but I'm not sure where. We can reproduce it to the point it happens whenever we click Tab, but short of putting a break point at the beginning of every method in the project to find out what is executing. Is there a way to set visual studio to break whenever anything executes? For those curious about the problem, every now and then, we have a few Rich Text Boxes that refuse to lose focus. You can't click out of it or tab out of it. We have no On Validation or On Text Changed events attached to the control, and believe it's an event attached somewhere else to something we just aren't noticing.

    I have two zip archives. Say, set1 has 10 csv files created using Mac OS X 10.5.8 compress option, and set2 has 4 csv files similarly created. I want to take the 4 files from zipped archive set2 and add them to list of files in archive set1. Is there a way I can do that? I tried the following in Terminal: zip set1.zip set2.zip This adds the whole archive set2.zip to set1.zip, i.e., in set1.zip now I have: file1.csv, file2.csv,..., file10.csv, set2.zip What I instead want is: file1.csv, file2.csv,..., file10.csv, file11.csv, ..., file14.csv where, set2.zip is the archive containing file11.csv, ..., file14.csv.   • jQuery - Need help stopping animation on click command.

    With a few of your help I was able to get the jquery I wanted to work flawlessly, except for one thing.. the animation doesn't stop when i click on the buttons. Scenario: I have an Image, and 3 buttons underneath labeled "1","2", and "3". The jquery will automate the click function every 4500ms and switch from 1 to 2, then 2 to 3 and continuously loop. However the problem is, if I manually click on a 1,2,3 button the animation does not stop.     Um - I feel like an idiot, but.... ruby -e '3+5' Outputs nothing (Windows 7, Ruby 1.8.7, Cygwin or Git Bash). What am I missing? Extra credit - will this also allow the extra cool bundle (stolen from TextMate) Execute and Update # = markers to work properly? EDIT Ok that worked, and I'll accept the answer, but e-texteditor still doesn't work with that really cool bundle. Too bad.

  • DATA command hangs

    Hello, what can i do, if a Mailserver accepts a connection but does not return any data? The default javax.mail implementation just hangs indefinitley. Event setting the smtp.timeout does not help - it still hangs. I even tried to set a custom SocketFactory to set the sotimeouts and solinger directly, but it still hangs. Somehow the socket does get kept alive? But how? Thx for any ideas! Ciao, Nils

    Hi I'm creating a systabcontrol32 control with the TCS_SINGLELINE style when I resize my window so the tab won't fit an up-down control appears that should allow me to scroll so I can see all the tabs. The thing is that the up-down buttons don't seem to work unless I add a the WS_HSCROLL property to the tab control witch makes it ugly as hell. It could be cool if the up-down could scroll the tabs without need to add the scrollbar (even more since the scroll bar doesn't seem to work, it just sits there and I can't click it).
