  • iPhone iOS4: API for AVRCP (ff/rewind commands on Bluetooth headsets)

    - by Michael Kessler
    Hi, I know that AVRCP abilities were added to iOS 4.1 (in iPod application now you can forward and rewind songs by using hardware buttons on supporting headsets). I am trying to find any API for using these abilities in a music application that I work on. The requirement is to catch play/stop, forward and rewind buttons events from the headset. Any information will be more than welcome. Thank you.

Currently value of this field is sending as String and i'd like to no parse this string in controller. Also, could you give me idea - if task with submitted id is not found - what is best way to catch this situation - validation in controller or what?

  • CSS/JS: Evenly spreading elements across multiple lines

    - by David Lawson
    How would you go about evenly spreading elements across multiple lines, for example: wrapper div: <div style="text-align: center"> elements inside: <div style="display: inline-block; padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px;">Element</div> Instead of only having one element on the next line (wrapped): Element 1 Element 2 Element 3 Element 4 Element 5 Element 6 It does this, spreading out the elements: Element 1 Element 2 Element 3 Element 4 Element 5 Element 6

  • OK to throw an error for a missing required querystring parameter?

    - by Balazs
    Is there anything wrong with having an asp.net page throw a (custom error) if a a required querystring parameter is missing and having global.asax catch it with Application_Error, then transfer the user to an error page? I have several base classes that perform these checks and I am not sure of the best way to communicate the error to a user. So, something like this: int reqParam; if(!isParamSet("myReqParam", out reqParam)) { throw new QuerystringParamMissingException(); } which is then caught by Application_Error in global.asax.

  • Joda Time cannot subtract one hour

    - by Leoa
    In my android program, I have a spinner that allows the user to select different times. Each selection is processed with Joda time to subtract the minutes. It works fine for minutes 0 to 59 and 61 and greater. However, when 60 minutes is subtracted, the time is not updated, and the original time is shown. How do I get Joda time to subtract 60 minutes? Spinner: public class MyOnItemSelectedListener implements OnItemSelectedListener { public void onItemSelected(AdapterView<?> parent, View view, int pos, long id1) { String mins = parent.getItemAtPosition(pos).toString(); int intmins=0; // process user's selection of alert time if(mins.equals("5 minutes")){intmins = 5;} if(mins.equals("10 minutes")){intmins = 10;} if(mins.equals("20 minutes")){intmins = 20;} if(mins.equals("30 minutes")){intmins = 30;} if(mins.equals("40 minutes")){intmins = 40;} if(mins.equals("50 minutes")){intmins = 50;} if(mins.equals("60 minutes")){intmins = 60;} if(mins.equals("120 minutes")){intmins = 120;} String stringMinutes=""+intmins; setAlarm(intmins, stringMinutes); } else { } public void onNothingSelected(AdapterView parent) { mLocationDisplay.setText(" " + location); } } public void setAlarm(int intmins, String mins) { // based alarm time on start time of event. • JAXB Web Services: Multiple Object Marshalling

    - by Luke Evans
    I can marshal and unmarshal 1 object with no problems (in netbeans); I need to know how to do this with multiple objects? I can't generate anything but null pointer exceptions when trying to unmarshal 3 objects into an array from XML; so I don't even know if I've marshalled the 3 out correctly. I know the basic idea of declaring the object, then using the jaxbu or jaxbm command, but I'd like to see this working for more than one object. **TLDR: How do I marshal/unmarshal multiple objects of a single class into/out of XML?? THANKS Code I have that marshals one object from XML: try { JAXBContext jc = JAXBContext.newInstance ("myOffers"); Unmarshaller u = jc.createUnmarshaller (); myOffers.Offer flight = (myOffers.Offer) u.unmarshal( new FileInputStream( "offers.xml" )); System.out.println ("Airline is : " + flight.getAirline()); System.out.println ("Origin is : " + flight.getOrigin()); System.out.println ("Destination is : " + flight.getDestination()); System.out.println ("Seats available : " + flight.getSeats()); System.out.println("Proximity to City Centre is : " + flight.getProximity()); System.out.println("Currency : " + flight.fare.getCurrency()); System.out.println("Value : " + flight.fare.getValue()); } catch (JAXBException e) { System.out.println("Error " + e);} ok so the Xml is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <ns2:offer xmlns:ns2="http://simple.example.com/CInfoXmlDoc"> <Origin>Nottingham</Origin> <Destination>Istanbul</Destination> <Airline>Lufthansa</Airline> <Proximity>10</Proximity> <Seats>260</Seats> <Fare> <Currency>GBP</Currency> <Value>300</Value> </Fare> </ns2:offer> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <ns2:offer xmlns:ns2="http://simple.example.com/CInfoXmlDoc"> <Origin>Birmingham</Origin> <Destination>Cairo</Destination> <Airline>Monarch</Airline> <Proximity>15</Proximity> <Seats>350</Seats> <Fare> <Currency>GBP</Currency> <Value>300</Value> </Fare> </ns2:offer> public static void main(String[] args) throws FileNotFoundException { int i = 0; int arraySize = 2; myOffers.Offer offer[] = new myOffers.Offer[arraySize]; offer[i] = new myOffers.Offer(); offer[i].fare = new myOffers.Offer.Fare(); offer[i].setAirline("Lufthansa"); offer[i].setOrigin("Nottingham"); offer[i].setDestination("Istanbul"); offer[i].setSeats(260); offer[i].setProximity(10); offer[i].fare.currency = "GBP"; offer[i].fare.value = 300; i++; offer[i] = new myOffers.Offer(); offer[i].fare = new myOffers.Offer.Fare(); offer[i].setAirline("Monarch"); offer[i].setOrigin("Birmingham"); offer[i].setDestination("Cairo"); offer[i].setSeats(350); offer[i].setProximity(15); offer[i].fare.currency = "GBP"; offer[i].fare.value = 300; try { int n = 0; FileOutputStream f = new FileOutputStream("offers.xml"); javax.xml.bind.JAXBContext jaxbCtx = javax.xml.bind.JAXBContext.newInstance(offer[n].getClass().getPackage().getName()); javax.xml.bind.Marshaller marshaller = jaxbCtx.createMarshaller(); marshaller.setProperty(javax.xml.bind.Marshaller.JAXB_ENCODING, "UTF-8"); //NOI18N marshaller.setProperty(javax.xml.bind.Marshaller.JAXB_FORMATTED_OUTPUT, Boolean.TRUE); while (n < arraySize) { marshaller.marshal(offer[n], f); n++; } } catch (javax.xml.bind.JAXBException ex) { // XXXTODO Handle exception java.util.logging.Logger.getLogger("global").log(java.util.logging.Level.SEVERE, null, ex); //NOI18N } } Which was generated by my marshal code found here: public static void main(String[] args) throws FileNotFoundException { int i = 0; int arraySize = 2; myOffers.Offer offer[] = new myOffers.Offer[arraySize]; offer[i] = new myOffers.Offer(); offer[i].fare = new myOffers.Offer.Fare(); offer[i].setAirline("Lufthansa"); offer[i].setOrigin("Nottingham"); offer[i].setDestination("Istanbul"); offer[i].setSeats(260); offer[i].setProximity(10); offer[i].fare.currency = "GBP"; offer[i].fare.value = 300; i++; offer[i] = new myOffers.Offer(); offer[i].fare = new myOffers.Offer.Fare(); offer[i].setAirline("Monarch"); offer[i].setOrigin("Birmingham"); offer[i].setDestination("Cairo"); offer[i].setSeats(350); offer[i].setProximity(15); offer[i].fare.currency = "GBP"; offer[i].fare.value = 300; try { int n = 0; FileOutputStream f = new FileOutputStream("offers.xml"); javax.xml.bind.JAXBContext jaxbCtx = javax.xml.bind.JAXBContext.newInstance(offer[n].getClass().getPackage().getName()); javax.xml.bind.Marshaller marshaller = jaxbCtx.createMarshaller(); marshaller.setProperty(javax.xml.bind.Marshaller.JAXB_ENCODING, "UTF-8"); //NOI18N marshaller.setProperty(javax.xml.bind.Marshaller.JAXB_FORMATTED_OUTPUT, Boolean.TRUE); while (n < arraySize) { marshaller.marshal(offer[n], f); n++; } } catch (javax.xml.bind.JAXBException ex) { // XXXTODO Handle exception java.util.logging.Logger.getLogger("global").log(java.util.logging.Level.SEVERE, null, ex); //NOI18N } } Apologies, I'm fining this editor quite appalling but thats another matter.   • unable to capture picture using camera in j2me polish?

    - by SIVAKUMAR.J
    I'm, developing a mobile app in j2me.Now im converting it into j2me polish. In my app I capture a picture using camera in mobile phone. It works fine in j2me. But it does not work fine in j2me polish. I cannot resolve it. The code snippet given below public class VideoCanvas extends Canvas { // private VideoMIDlet midlet; // Form frm Form frm=null; public VideoCanvas(VideoControl videoControl) { int width = getWidth(); int height = getHeight(); // this.midlet = midlet; //videoControl.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO, this); //Canvas canvas = StyleSheet.currentScreen; //canvas = MasterCanvas.instance; videoControl.initDisplayMode( VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO,this); try { videoControl.setDisplayLocation(2, 2); videoControl.setDisplaySize(width - 4, height - 4); } catch (MediaException me) {} videoControl.setVisible(true); } public VideoCanvas(VideoControl videoControl,Form ff) { frm=ff; int width = getWidth(); int height = getHeight(); // this.midlet = midlet; Ticker ticker=new Ticker("B4 video controll init"); frm.setTicker(ticker); //Canvas canvas = StyleSheet.currentScreen; videoControl.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO,this); ticker=new Ticker("after video controll init"); frm.setTicker(ticker); try { videoControl.setDisplayLocation(2, 2); videoControl.setDisplaySize(width - 4, height - 4); } catch (MediaException me) {} videoControl.setVisible(true); ticker=new Ticker("Device not supported"); frm.setTicker(ticker); } public void paint(Graphics g) { int width = getWidth(); int height = getHeight(); g.setColor(0x00ff00); g.drawRect(0, 0, width - 1, height - 1); g.drawRect(1, 1, width - 3, height - 3); } } In normal j2me the above code works correctly. But in j2me polish videoControl.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO,this) here this refers to VideoCanvas (which extends from javax.microedition.lcdui.Canvas). But it throws an "IllegalArgumentException - container should be canvas" like that. How to solve the issue?

  • Creating a grid overlay over image.

    - by neteus
    Hi everybody, I made a script (using mootools library) that is supposed to overlay an image with a table grid and when each grid cell is clicked/dragged over its background color changes 'highlighting' the cell. Current code creates a table and positions it over the element (el, image in this case). Table was used since I am planning to add rectangle select tool later on, and it seemed easiest way to do it. <html> <head> <title></title> <script type="text/javascript" src="mootools.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var SetGrid = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ //get number of rows/columns according to the 'grid' size numcols = el.getSize().x/sz; numrows = el.getSize().y/sz; //create table element for injecting cols/rows var gridTable = new Element('table', { 'id' : 'gridTable', 'styles' : { 'width' : el.getSize().x, 'height' : el.getSize().y, 'top' : el.getCoordinates().top, 'left' : el.getCoordinates().left } }); //inject rows/cols into gridTable for (row = 1; row<=numrows; row++){ thisRow = new Element('tr', { 'id' : row, 'class' : 'gridRow' }); for(col = 1; col<=numcols; col++){ thisCol = new Element('td', { 'id' : col, 'class' : 'gridCol0' }); //each cell gets down/up over event... down starts dragging|up stops|over draws area if down was fired thisCol.addEvents({ 'mousedown' : function(){ dragFlag = true; startRow = this.getParent().get('id'); startCol = this.get('id'); }, 'mouseup' : function(){ dragFlag = false; }, 'mouseover' : function(){ if (dragFlag==true){ this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('value')); } }, 'click' : function(){ //this.set('class', 'gridCol'+$$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id').substr(3, 1) ); str = $$('#lvlSelect .on').get('id'); alert(str.substr(2, 3)); } }); thisCol.inject(thisRow, 'bottom'); }; thisRow.inject(gridTable, 'bottom'); }; gridTable.inject(el.getParent()); } //sens level selector func var SetSensitivitySelector = function(el, sz, nr, nc){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').each(function(el){ el.addEvents({ 'click' : function(){ $$('#lvlSelect ul li').set('class', ''); this.set('class', 'on'); }, 'mouseover' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor','pointer'); }, 'mouseout' : function(){ el.setStyle('cursor',''); } }); }); } //execute window.addEvent('load', function(){ SetGrid($('imagetomap'), 32); SetSensitivitySelector(); }); </script> <style> #imagetomapdiv { float:left; display: block; } #gridTable { border:1px solid red; border-collapse:collapse; position:absolute; z-index:5; } #gridTable td { opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #gridTable .gridCol0 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: none; } #gridTable .gridCol1 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: green; } #gridTable .gridCol2 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: blue; } #gridTable .gridCol3 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: yellow; } #gridTable .gridCol4 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: orange; } #gridTable .gridCol5 { border:1px solid gray; background-color: red; } #lvlSelect ul {float: left; display:block; position:relative; margin-left: 20px; padding: 10px; } #lvlSelect ul li { width:40px; text-align:center; display:block; border:1px solid black; position:relative; padding: 10px; list-style:none; opacity:0.2; filter:alpha(opacity=20); } #lvlSelect ul li.on { opacity:1; filter:alpha(opacity=100); } #lvlSelect ul #li0 { background-color: none; } #lvlSelect ul #li1 { background-color: green; } #lvlSelect ul #li2 { background-color: blue; } #lvlSelect ul #li3 { background-color: yellow; } #lvlSelect ul #li4 { background-color: orange; } #lvlSelect ul #li5 { background-color: red; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="imagetomapdiv"> <img id="imagetomap" src="1.png"> </div> <div id="lvlSelect"> <ul> <li value="0" id="li0">0</li> <li value="1" id="li1">1</li> <li value="2" id="li2">2</li> <li value="3" id="li3">3</li> <li value="4" id="li4">4</li> <li value="5" id="li5" class="on">5</li> </ul> </div> </body> </html> A 'working' example: http://72.14.186.218/~alex/motion.php There are two problems: while it works just fine in FF, IE and Chrome do not create the table if the page is refreshed. If you go back to directory root and click on the link to the file the grid table is displayed, if you hit 'refresh' button -- the script runs but the table is not injected. Secondly, although the table HTML is injected in IE, it does not display it. I tried adding nbsp's to make sure its not ignored -- to no avail. Any suggestions on improving code or help with the issues is appreciated. Thanks!

  • Problem while adding a new value to a hashtable when it is enumerated

    - by karthik
    `hi I am doing a simple synchronous socket programming,in which i employed twothreads one for accepting the client and put the socket object into a collection,other thread will loop through the collection and send message to each client through the socket object. the problem is 1.i connect to clients to the server and start send messages 2.now i want to connect a new client,while doing this i cant update the collection and add a new client to my hashtable.it raises an exception "collection modified .Enumeration operation may not execute" how to add a NEW value without having problems in a hashtable. private void Listen() { try { //lblStatus.Text = "Server Started Listening"; while (true) { Socket ReceiveSock = ServerSock.Accept(); //keys.Clear(); ConnectedClients = new ListViewItem(); ConnectedClients.Text = ReceiveSock.RemoteEndPoint.ToString(); ConnectedClients.SubItems.Add("Connected"); ConnectedList.Items.Add(ConnectedClients); ClientTable.Add(ReceiveSock.RemoteEndPoint.ToString(), ReceiveSock); //foreach (System.Collections.DictionaryEntry de in ClientTable) //{ // keys.Add(de.Key.ToString()); //} //ClientTab.Add( //keys.Add( } //lblStatus.Text = "Client Connected Successfully."; } catch (Exception ex) { MessageBox.Show(ex.Message); } } private void btn_receive_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Thread receiveThread = new Thread(new ThreadStart(Receive)); receiveThread.IsBackground = true; receiveThread.Start(); } private void Receive() { while (true) { //lblMsg.Text = ""; byte[] Byt = new byte[2048]; //ReceiveSock.Receive(Byt); lblMsg.Text = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Byt); } } private void btn_Send_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Thread SendThread = new Thread(new ThreadStart(SendMsg)); SendThread.IsBackground = true; SendThread.Start(); } private void btnlist_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { //Thread ListThread = new Thread(new ThreadStart(Configure)); //ListThread.IsBackground = true; //ListThread.Start(); } private void SendMsg() { while (true) { try { foreach (object SockObj in ClientTable.Keys) { byte[] Tosend = new byte[2048]; Socket s = (Socket)ClientTable[SockObj]; Tosend = Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("FirstValue&" + GenerateRandom.Next(6, 10).ToString()); s.Send(Tosend); //ReceiveSock.Send(Tosend); Thread.Sleep(300); } } catch (Exception ex) { MessageBox.Show(ex.Message); } } }

  • How do I write a powershell script that gets the file with the most recent last write time from a fo

    - by Shoko
    The subject line says it all. I'd also like to do this using pipes. I figured that I could use Get-ChildItem, Measure-Object and Where-Object, but Measure-Object doesn't like dates. Should I have a script block which loops through each item returned from Get-ChildItem and does a comparison to see if it's the most recent? I thought that there should be a handy PS cmdlet for that.

  • Add 'expand' button to JTree node that has no children?

    - by thedude19
    I'd like to add the 'expand' button to my JTree's nodes to indicate that they are expandable. The catch is that they have no children until the user clicks on them (due to processing that happens in the background). Is there any way I can set a node as a parent or having children without it actually having children? Thanks

  • How to emulate a real http request via cfhttp?

    - by maectpo
    Hi, I need to emulate a real http request via cfhttp. I was getting rss feed with ColdFusion, but tonight they started to block my request and send an index page in response instead of rss fead. I added useragent for cfhttp, but it doesn't help. Opera, Firefox and Chrome open feed correctly from the same computer.

  • set timeout to http response read method in python

    - by nirtayeb
    Hi, I'm building a download manager in python for fun, and sometimes the connection to the server is still on but the server doesn't send me data, so read method (of HTTPResponse) block me forever. This happens, for example, when I download from a server, which located outside of my country, that limit the bandwidth to other countries. How can I set a timeout for the read method (2 minutes for example)? Thanks, Nir.
