  I want to use regular expression same way as string.Format. I will explain I have: string pattern = "^(?<PREFIX>abc_)(?<ID>[0-9])+(?<POSTFIX>_def)$"; string input = "abc_123_def"; Regex regex = new Regex(pattern, RegexOptions.IgnoreCase); string replacement = "456"; Console.WriteLine(regex.Replace(input, string.Format("${{PREFIX}}{0}${{POSTFIX}}", replacement))); This works, but i must provide "input" to regex.Replace. I do not want that. I want to use pattern for matching but also for creating strings same way as with string format, replacing named group "ID" with value. Is that possible? I'm looking for something like: string pattern = "^(?<PREFIX>abc_)(?<ID>[0-9])+(?<POSTFIX>_def)$"; string result = ReplaceWithFormat(pattern, "ID", 999); Result will contain "abc_999_def". How to accomplish this?

  I have a situation where something can appear in a format as follows: ---id-H-- Header: data Another Header: more data Message: sdasdasdasd Message: asdasdasdasd Message: asdasdasd There may be many messages, or just a couple. I'd prefer not having to step outside of RegEx, because I am using the RegEx to parse some header information above the messages and the messages along with the headers are part of the text I am parsing. The messages attached into the text might be many. I would also like to use named capture groups, so something like Message: (?<Message[index of match]>.+) Where it matches the match as many times as it can with the index filled in. Does anything like this exist in RegEx? (I will eventually be using this in Perl)

  I am trying to send a simple XML file of the format given in http://wiki.hudson-ci.org/display/HUDSON/Monitoring+external+jobs . I was able to send it easily and was getting desired result!! Then I tried to build this XML file using python script and it was giving me the exact file that I wanted without any problem. But when I tried to run this and send it to Hudson, I was getting the error - "No module named dom.minidom" . I checked again by executing in Python IDLE and it ws working fine but when I tried to send it again, I was getting the same error.. plz help..

• svnserve.conf authentication not worked

  I can setup Subversion server. I can commit change. The only thing I am not sure is to set up the basic authentication with svnserve. Here is the tutorial I followed: http://tortoisesvn.net/docs/release/TortoiseSVN_en/tsvn-serversetup-svnserve.html#tsvn-serversetup-svnserve-4 Based on the tutorial, I edited the 2 files: svnserve.conf and passwd, and restarted the apache server. But the authentication still cannot work. Even if I set: anon-access = none and restart apache, I can still read svn files and commit change from Eclipse. Have I missed any steps?

  I am working with a generic view in Django. I want to capture a named group parameter in the URL and pass the value to the URL pattern dictionary. For example, in the URLConf below, I want to capture the parent_slug value in the URL and pass it to the queryset dictionary value like so: urlpatterns = patterns('django.views.generic.list_detail', (r'^(?P<parent_slugs>[-\w])$', 'object_list', {'queryset':Promotion.objects.filter(category=parent_slug)}, 'promo_promotion_list'), ) Is this possible to do in one URLConf entry, or would it be wiser if I create a custom view to capture the value and pass the queryset directly to the generic view from my overridden view?

• Using switch and enumerations as substitute for named methods

  This pattern pops up a lot. It looks like a very verbose way to move what would otherwise be separate named methods into a single method and then distinguished by a parameter. Is there any good reason to have this pattern over just having two methods Method1() and Method2() ? • I get "stack level too deep" error when using a named scope

  I'm using ruby on rails 2.3.8 and when I write the syntax shown below I get the "stack level too deep" error message. The model is called Announcement and the line of the error looks like this: Tag.find(category_id).announcements.published Where published is named_scope :published, :conditions => "announcements.state = 'published'" I use this named scope in many other places and it works fine. What am I doing wrong? (the relationship between Tag and Announcement model is ok because if I remove the ".published" method from that line it works just fine).

Currently I'm using the following: EXCEPTION WHEN OTHERS THEN IF SQLCODE = -00955 What I would prefer is something like: EXCEPTION WHEN OBJECT_EXISTS THEN This seems cleaner to me and I would prefer that. But I've looked in SYS.STANDARD, and it lists relatively few named exceptions. Online documentation seems to mirror what's in SYS.STANDARD. Is there another package to look in? Some other resource?

  Hi all, I've been given a lighttpd.conf that someone else wrote and need help working out how to serve it. I'm 90% of the way there but stuck... The index.html page appears, but links and CSS files don't point to the right place. To clarify, the links and CSS files are all pointing to a 'file:///' URL. • only port working with mod_proxy is 8009, trying to use with tomcat and httpd, dont know why

  I am trying to use mod_proxy with httpd and tomcat. If I leave tomcat ajp to run on 8009 in the server.xml of tomcat and in the httpd.conf of apache httpd everything works great but once I change it to anything else and restart them both it does not work.. I trieded 8109,8209 and 8019.. only thing that works is 8009? • Accessing Virtual Host from outside LAN

  I'm setting up a web development platform that makes things as easy as possible to write and test all code on my local machine, and sync this with my web server. I setup several virtual hosts so that I can access my projects by typing in "project" instead of "localhost/project" as the URL. I also want to set this up so that I can access my projects from any network. I signed up for a DYNDNS URL that points to my computer's IP address. This worked great from anywhere before I setup the virtual hosts. Now when I try to access my projects by typing in my DYNDNS URL, I get the 403 Forbidden Error message, "You don't have permission to access / on this server." To setup my virtual hosts, I edited two files - hosts in the system32/drivers/etc folder, and httpd-vhosts.conf in the Apache folder of my WAMP installation. In the hosts file, I simply added the server name to associate with 127.0.0.1. I added the following to the http-vhosts.conf file: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost DocumentRoot "c:/wamp/www/ladybug" ServerName ladybug ErrorLog "logs/your_own-error.log" CustomLog "logs/your_own-access.log" common </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost DocumentRoot "c:/wamp/www" ServerName localhost ErrorLog "logs/localhost-error.log" CustomLog "logs/localhost-access.log" common </VirtualHost> Any idea why I can't access my projects from typing in my DYNDNS URL? Also, is it possible to setup virtual hosts so that when I type in http://projects from a random computer outside of my network, I access url.dyndns.info/projects (a.k.a. my WAMP projects on my home computer)? • How to set TV-out options under Linux of an Geforce 9600 GT video card

  I'm using the TV-out connector of my Geforce 9600 GT to connect it to an old TV set. It's obviously in Composite mode, the other two cables of Component video are dead, only Pb/VIDEO labeled one gives me a signal. The picture appears black/white on the TV, I presume it's because the video card gives me an NTSC signal, but it's a PAL tv set. How do I change the TV-out from NTSC to PAL? My Component to SCART adapter hasn't arrived yet, but I think I should be able to set manually, whether the signal should be Composite or Component. How do I switch modes of the TV-out, between Component and Composite? I'm running Linux, so it's probably some settings I need to make in xorg.conf. Edit: I got this far: I need to set in the "Device" section of my xorg.conf: Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B" Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE" The whole section looks like this now: Section "Device" Identifier "Device0" Driver "nvidia" VendorName "NVIDIA Corporation" BoardName "GeForce 9600 GT" Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" Option "TVStandard" "PAL-B" Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE" EndSection How can I list all available settings for "TVStandard" and "TVOutFormat"?

• Named query not known error trying to call a stored proc using Fluent NHibernate

  I'm working on setting up NHibernate for a project and I have a few queries that, due to their complexity, we will be leaving as stored procedures. I'd like to be able to use NHibernate to call the sprocs, but have run into an error I can't figure out. Since I'm using Fluent NHibernate I'm using mixed mode mapping as recommended here. However, when I run the app I get a "Named query not known: AccountsGetSingle" exception and I can't figure out why. I think I might have a problem with my HBM mapping since I'm not very familiar with using them but I'm not sure.   I get this weird exception when i run my app on both the emulator and a USB connected device. i can see the table inside the shell, but when I try to insert a record from the Activity acton I get this exception: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: table audios has no column named downloaded I am mostly running on an emulator with Android 1.5. • Cocoa App with Python extension which use Scipy -> ImportError: No module named scipy

  Hi: I have installed Scipy (via macports) for Python on my Mac and it runs fine when running Python scripts. But now I'm using Scipy (via PyObjc) for calculations embedded in a Cocoa App frontend. The following error occurs: ImportError: No module named scipy I am using the "Python.framework" in XCode. Does anybody know why Scipy module is not found? I even added it manually to the module search path via sys.path.append("/opt/local/var/macports/software/py26-scipy/0.7.1_0+gcc43/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/scipy/") EDIT: I found the problem myself. The path should be without "/scipy" at the end.   I'm generating plain simple links with CakePHP's HtmlHelper the following way: $html->link("Newest", array( 'controller' => 'posts', 'action' => 'listView', 'page'=> 1, 'sort'=>'Question.created', 'direction'=>'desc', )); Having the following route rule: Router::connect('/foobar/*',array( 'controller' => 'posts', 'action' => 'listView' )); The link is nicely generated as /foobar/page:1/sort:Question.created/direction:desc. Just as I want, it uses my URL prefix instead of controller/action names. However, for some links I must add named parameters like this: $html->link("Newest", array( 'controller' => 'posts', 'action' => 'listView', 'page'=> 1, 'sort'=>'Question.created', 'direction'=>'desc', 'namedParameter' => 'namedParameterValue' )); The link in this case points to /posts/listView/page:1/sort:Question.created/direction:desc/namedParameter:namedParameterValue. But I do not want to have contoller/action names in my URL-s, why is Cake ignoring in this case my routers configuration?
