  • Apache rotatelogs gives error

    Recently I have implement apache 2.4.1 in my web server.The problem is the rotate logs seems to be not functioning.Here is the output in the error_log: [core:error] [pid 13060:tid 47015847145408] (2)No such file or directory The command line that i have put in the httpd.conf are such as below: CustomLog "|bin/rotatelogs -l /var/log/logfile.%Y.%m.%d 86400" combined Is there anything wrong here with my setup?For your information I've already tested it in apache 2.2.22 and everythings is perfectly working.     I asked this question here, but it turns out the issue is in our server configuration. The .vbs script has been reduced to the following: Dim http Set http = CreateObject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP") http.Open "GET" , "http://google.com", False http.Send This triggers the same error message every time: msxml3.dll: A security problem occurred. The permissions on the .dll are set correctly, and nothing else should be preventing access to that file, so what could be causing the problem?

    When trying to extract the Glassfish jar file with java -Xmx256m -jar glassfish-installer-v2.1-b60e-linux.jar i get following error: (.:31766): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: and extraction doesn't happen. It somehow assumes i'm on an real machine rather on a SSH shell. How can i solve this?

  • I just restarted Apache and now the server is down

    I am pretty terrified right now. I'm scared I'm going to get a call in a couple minutes from a hundred people saying the website doesn't work. I was at the terminal changing some configuration files when I went to restart the server to update the .conf files with this command: /etc/init.d/apache2 graceful After I ran that, none of the websites work and I have no idea what to do. There are about 100 errors I am getting according to the log files. They all begin with "PHP Notice" and most relate to "use of undefined constant" Also, I just spoke with a coworker, describing what I did, and he noticed that there are two installations of apache on the server and that I restarted the one that we don't use.     We have a backup application that uses the Windows API BackupRead. It works correctly on Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2. It does not work on Storage Server 2008 R2. It always fails with error 50 - The request is not supported. The documentation for BackupRead gives no indication that it will not work with Storage Server 2008 R2. Anyone else have any experience using this API on Storage Server 2008 R2?

    I am trying to setup reporting services on a SQL server 2008 and get this error message when I try to connect to the http://localhost/reports The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized. I asked the server administrator and the IIS should be running (can't find it under administrative tools though) I used the Reporting Services Configuration manager to setup reporting services and am pretty sure it is setup correct.

  • Set Default 404 error pages across entire instance of IIS

    we are currently using IIS 8 on our new windows VPS. We have a content management system we install for all our apps we build, but we are finding it incredibly painful as our hosting provider requires that we change the default 404 error page from the default settings everytime we create a site. Is there an easy way within IIS to automatically apply this same default directory within each website so we dont need to edit it on every website we build ? thanks in advance

Please check your libxml2 installation. What's this all about? And how settle the problem?

  • Customer Passenger Error Pages

    How do you replace the Passenger Application failed to load error messages. They are lovely, but I'd rather not display them when we move our application to production. It'd be better to just show them on the dev box and maintenance page on the live site. For clarification, this is the call stack page passenger displays when your rails app fails to load. I'd rather not modify the passenger template files directly. Passenger doesn't seem to be respecting: ErrorDocument 500 /500.html

  • Fan Error on Lenovo R61

    Problem Since the last two days, my Lenovo R61 is giving me a "Fan Error" message during boot, after showing which, it powers down. It does so for 3-4 boot attempts, and after a bit of tapping and such human treatment, in the 6th or so attempt, it luckily starts. Question Why is this happening ? How do I fix it ?     Hi I am trying to compile helloWorld in java under snow leopard and I get this compiler error: java[51692:903] Can't open input server /Library/InputManagers/Inquisitor It happens when I am using terminal command javac and when I am trying do this in NetBeans. I was trying to open folder "Inquisitor" but I have no access to folder , even if I login as root user. Any clue what is going on? thanks.

    In my VPS (Hypervm/CENTOS 5.8 i686 virtuozzo) I need to add IP bans with comments ( http://spamcleaner.org/en/misc/iptables-comment.html ) When I type: iptables -A INPUT -s 222.111.111.111 -j DROP -m comment --comment "spammer123" I receive: iptables: Unknown error 4294967295 I research almost 2 hours but i find nothing, someone says "its a bug and you have to rebuild kernel!?" Does anyone know a solution or a different method for adding a comment or note ?
