  • WPF: ContextMenu item bound to a Command is enabled only after invoking the command from another so

    I have a ContextMenu whose items are all bound to commands and enable\disable correctly after ANY Command is invoked from another source but prior to, they are all disabled. So if I run the app, all the MenuItems are disabled but if I invoke any of the bound commands from another source (buttons, for instance) they become synchronized with the CanExecute code. I have no idea how to debug this. Any thought would be helpful!?!

  • HOw to use local instance of TPrinter

    Hi, I need to do some printing using TPrinter. The problem is I can not, for varoius reasons, use Global object Printer. I want to be able to create my instance of TPrinter and print using that one. I tried with: MyPrinter := TPrinter.Create; MyPrinter.BeginDoc; but this generates AV. Any idea what does it take to print something using my instance of TPrinter? Regards Goran Nagy

  • Is there a Rails authentication library which separates users from login methods?

    In my mental model of authentication, a user should be distinct from the way they log in. So for example, a User could have an associated EmailLogin (with an email/password), or they could have many (or none). Similarly they could have 0..* associated OpenIDLogin credentials. Are there any existing authentication libraries for Rails which use this method? Alternatively, is this a really terrible idea?

    I have a mysql database with 60 tables most of the tables have primary keys (expect pivot tables) all these primary keys had the attribute AUTO INCREMENT Then over night some how all the primary keys had that attribute removed, and the default value set to 0. I have no idea how this may have been caused. Any suggestions?

    Hello ... I created a table using ER/STudio 8.0.3 ... The table has a serial pk (SERIAL/INTEGER in ER/Studio)... But the ER/Studio Physical Model generated convert the Serial to Integer... And The generated table in database has a integer pk, without auto-increment functionality... Any idea? Table generated : CREATE TABLE test ( id integer NOT NULL ) Should be : CREATE TABLE test ( id serial NOT NULL )

  • Asp Dot Net : IHttpModule + m_context.Server.Transfer = session state error

    I have an IHttpModule that implements IRequiresSessionState. The session state is at "on" on the page directive and I also added it to the web.config. In the method "OnBeginRequest" in the IHttpModule, I make a Server.Transfer but I get the error : Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. When I access the page directly or with a Response.Redirect, there is no error. Any idea?

    And is there an elegant linqy way to do it? What I want to do is create string of given length with made of up multiples of another string up to that length So for length - 9 and input string "xxx" I get "xxxxxxxxx" (ie length 9) for a nun integral multiple then I'd like to truncate the line. I can do this using loops and a StringBuilder easily but I'm looking to see if the language can express this idea easily. (FYI I'm making easter maths homework for my son)

  • PL/SQL profiler missing data

    We are using pl/sql profiler to collect metrics. We noticed that on one of the environment the plsql_profiler_runs table is populated with the total execution time but the finer details that gets collected in the table plsql_profiler_data is missing. Any idea why this would be happening? We do use dbms_profiler.flush_data() before stopping the profiler and have seen this work fine in another environment.

My problem is that I do not know how large those views are. Well, of course, I know their hard-coded values... But I want to be a good citizen and not use hard-coded values and instead query them.     Is it possible to turn result sets obtained in LINQ through a stored procedure or function call into a "live" set of objects of which I can retrieve Foreign Key related objects? If, for example, my stored procedure returns a set of rows (= LINQ objects) of type "Contact", then I can't seem to obtain Contact.BillingAddress (which is related by Foreign Key). Any idea how to make this work?
