• Why does the task name contain "now / 30"?

  In the video/PDF from "Data pipelines with Google App Engine" Brett puts "now / 30" into the task name noting that he will explain the reason later, but somehow he never does. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSDC_TU7rtc#t=41m35 task_name = '%s-%d-%d' % (sum_name, int(now / 30), index) Do you have any idea about the reason?   Do someone know how to get glsl shaders work in gtk-opengl window? • Is there a Rails authentication library which separates users from login methods?

  In my mental model of authentication, a user should be distinct from the way they log in. So for example, a User could have an associated EmailLogin (with an email/password), or they could have many (or none). Similarly they could have 0..* associated OpenIDLogin credentials. Are there any existing authentication libraries for Rails which use this method? Alternatively, is this a really terrible idea?

  Is there any way to handle call events in IPhone? i.e. Log calls and sms in my app, block unwanted numbers, etc. I know the IPhone SDK doesn't provide that but I have been googling this and what I got was an app called iBlackList. Although it runs on jail-broken phones but it does my required functionality. I wonder how? Has anyone idea about how these tasks can be accomplished?

The problem is when the first video stops, the view will go back to the previously view for a short while before play the next video.   Working on moving some C++ code from Linux over to Windows. The code uses boost 1.4.2, however it keeps failing out on building the boost modules. Basically, every boost hpp file that happens to contain "namespace boost" errors with: error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before 'namespace' Any idea what could be causing this?

  Hi, Say there is a dict variable that grows very large during runtime- up into millions of key:value pairs. Does this variable get stored in RAM,effectively using up all the available memory and slowing down the rest of the system?
