  • Easiest way to position camera in XNA?

    Everytime I load my model into XNA, I can usually see it far off in the distance. When I change some parameters and make it zoom up close, 10/10 times it's rotated funny and I'm set with the task of rotating it. Is there any easy way to do it except by experimenting? Or am I exporting it wrong (using Blender)? Is there any value I should set the objects in my 3d scene to be before exporting it so they appear 'upright'?

    Hi, I'm working with devexpress pivot grid, so I added the paging function and everything is working fine, the only thing I need to do is display the total row on each page, at this moment it is displayed just in the last one, I was looking on DevExpress documentation and it looks like pivot grid calculate the total and gran total automatically and I don't find any thing about my task, anybody knows how can I do this???     I am trying to write a program containing two source files: main program written in C and assembly(x86 32 and 64) module callable from C. The C declaration for the assembly routine looks like this: void mirrorbmp1(void *img, int width, int height) The task involves Mirror/flipping a 1 bpp .BMP image horizontally while Handling any image width properly, not only multiples of 8. I am new to assembly programming and have very little idea about how i should do the ask. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Singelton on iPhone Simulator vs Singelton on real Device

    I am using a Singelton for some shared stuff. In the simulator, the app crashes ocasionally. Tracking the crash down shows that the the properties of my Singelton became dealocated. Those crashes never happend on a real device. Does the iPHone simulator handle memory managemend different? GC maybe? Changed the singelton to match this pattern. The iPhone Simulator dont crash now, but I am not sure about the memory handling on the real device. I assume that this solution will cause problems. What do you think?

  • What Windows message is fired for mouse-up with modifier keys?

    My WndProc isn't seeing mouse-up notifications when I click with a modifier key (shift or control) pressed. I see them without the modifier key, and I see mouse-down notifications with the modifier keys. I'm using the Windows Forms NativeWindow wrapper to get Windows messages from the WndProc() method. I've tried tracking the notifications I do get, and I the only clue I see is WM_CAPTURECHANGED. I've tried calling SetCapture when I receive the WM_LBUTTONDOWN message, but it doesn't help. Without modifier (skipping paint, timer and NCHITTEST messages): WM_LBUTTONDOWN WM_SETCURSOR WM_MOUSEMOVE WM_SETCURSOR WM_LBUTTONUP With modifier (skipping paint, timer and NCHITTEST messages): WM_KEYDOWN WM_PARENTNOTIFY WM_MOUSEACTIVATE WM_MOUSEACTIVATE WM_SETCURSOR WM_LBUTTONDOWN WM_SETCURSOR (repeats) WM_KEYDOWN (repeats) WM_KEYUP If I hold the mouse button down for a long time, I can usually get a WM_LBUTTONUP notification, but it should be possible to make it more responsive.. What am I missing? Thanks.

    I have a class derived from QGraphicsView, which contains QGraphicsItem-derived elements. I want these elements to change color whenever the mouse cursor hovers over them, so I implemented hoverEnterEvent (and hoverLeaveEvent): void MyGraphicsItem::hoverEnterEvent(QGraphicsSceneHoverEvent* event) { update (boundingRect()); } However, this event handler code is never executed. I've explicitly enabled mouse tracking: MyGraphicsView::MyGraphicsView(MainView *parent) : QGraphicsView(parent) { setMouseTracking(true); viewport()->setMouseTracking(true); ... } Still, no luck. What am I doing wrong?

    Allot of my use of hibernate, at least for that data that is presented on many parts of the web application, is for read-only purposes. I want to add some parameters to my Dao methods so I can modify the way hibernate pulls the data and how it handles transactions etc. Example usage: Data on the front page of my website is displayed to the users, it is read-only, so I want to avoid any session/entity tracking that hibernate usually does. This is data that is read-only, will not be changed in this transaction, etc. What would be the most performant way to pull the data?     I have a site where people upload videos, which are converted to .flv format. Simple. I wanted to also convert to an mp4 format that will "stream" to an iphone and blackberry, or allowed to be downloaded to either, for later viewing. Can someone post a working ffmpeg line to accomplish this task?     Ok, I have a flowchart definition (basically, array of nodes and edges for each node). Now I want to calculate coordinates for every task in the flow, preferably hierarchycal style. I need something like Graph::Easy::Layout but I have no idea how to get nodes coordinates: I render nodes myself and I only want to retrieve box coordinates/size. Any suggestions? What I need is a CPAN module available even in Debian repository.

  • FLOT: How to make different colored points in same data series, connected by a line?

    Hi all, I think I may have stumbled onto a limitation of Flot, but I'm not sure. I'm trying to represent a single data series over time. The items' "State" is represented on the Y-Axis (there are 5 of them), and time is on the X-Axis (items can change states over time). I want the graph to have points and lines connecting those points for each data series. In addition to tracking an item's State over time, I'd also like to represent it's "Status" at any of the particular points. This I would like to do by changing the color of the points. What this means is a single item may have different Statuses at different times, meaning for a single data series I need a line that connects different points (dots) of different colors. The only thing I've seen so far is the ability to specify the color for all points in a given dataseries. Does anyone know if there's a way to specify colors individually? Thanks.

    By default, Glassfish v3 doesn't set the httpOnly flag on session cookies (when created as usual with request.getSession()). I know, there is a method javax.servlet.SessionCookieConfig.setHttpOnly(), but I'm not sure, if that's the best way to do it, and if yes, where the best place would be to put that line. BTW, of course it can't be done in the servlet itself (e.g. in init()): java.lang.IllegalStateException: PWC1426: Unable to configure httpOnly session tracking cookie property for servlet context /..., because this servlet context has already been initialized Generally, I would prefer to use a configuration option e.g. in web.xml.

    I got infected by a virus. It looks like I removed it, but it somehow injected a few more processes (I can see them in the task manager) that respawn when I kill them (somehow). Is there a way to destroy those process to stop them from respawning, or in the case something else is respawning them, to kill that "something"?

    Task: (all in code, not visual) create a canvas, place into it some labels and draw some lines, then cache it as byteArray. The problem is that if I cache an object that is already drawed on the screen, it works great, but if I cache a canvas, that have been created few lines earlier, this results white image. Is there any solution to cache a display object, that was created in code, but not intended to be displayed at all?

    I need to deal with Affiliate Tracking on our website. In our .htaccess we have: RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} affiliate=(.*) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1? [NC,R,L,co=AFFID:%1:%{HTTP:Host}:7200:/] Which creates a COOKIE called AFFID with the value of the URL Parameter affiliate. But the Cookie is not for the whole domain, i.e. Going to http://www.domain.com/?affiliate=bmk sets the AFFID cookie with the value bmk for .www.domain.com but I would like ti to be for .domain.com so that it can be used across our secure domain which will be secure.domain.com Any help would be appreciated Cheers

    Hi there. I'm trying to build a simple cluster based on Windows XP. I compiled OpenMPI-1.4.2 successfully, and tools like mpicc and ompi_info work too, but I can't get my mpirun working properly. There are many reasons that a parallel process can fail during orte_init; some of which are due to configuration or environment problems. Can anyone help me? Upd2: Error code -2147024891 might be WMI error WBEM_E_INVALID_PARAMETER (0x80041008) which occures when one of the parameters passed to the WMI call is not correct. Does this mean that the problem is in OpenMPI source code itself? Or maybe it's because of wrong/outdated wincred.h and credui.lib I used while building OpenMPI from the source code?

    I am trying to parse a file generated by LGA Tracon that lists the position data for aircraft over a given time frame. The data of interest starts with TRACKING DATA and ends with SST and there are thousands of entries per file.   • Build Google App Engine Java source from Eclipse

    I would like to try to build Google App Engine for Java from source. I have tried this: I don't know how to solve the javac Ant task. I am on Mac OS X 10.6.8. The reason why I am trying to to create a Java Project from the source is that when I try to debug/step-into the sources downloaded from SVN, something is wrong in Eclipse and it does not track execution at the right code line. It seems to be executing "comment lines"? So I don't get an accurate tracking of the code path. I think what I would ideally need is: 1) svn checkout command with matching REV number of latest SDK 2) wget command downloading matching jar
