When I reviewed it this morning, I find it strange that an integer array is defined as int fail[ s_len ]. Does the specification requires dimesion of arrays compile-time constant?     Hello, I have a XML file that I want to load into an unknown object type. (I say unknown object type because I am not sure what direction to go) Once I have the data loaded I need to do some processing on certain elements that are now loaded into the new object. For sake of example, we can say that the xml file is full of elements named and within the car element I need to process the element.   • Couchbase (ex. membase) solution to dump all keys in a bucket

    I was googling around and found various python + tap solutions that should enable me to dump all keys from a bucket but none of them worked for me. I have a bucket at port 11230 and I need to get a dump of all keys in order to fill them into sphinx search engine. If I execute: # python /opt/couchbase/lib/python/tap_example.py 127.0.0.1:11230 I get the following output: info: New bin connection from None error: uncaptured python exception, closing channel <tap.TapConnection connected at 0x7f5d287184d0> (<type 'exceptions.AssertionError'>: [/usr/lib/python2.6/asyncore.py|read|78] [/usr/lib/python2.6/asyncore.py|handle_read_event|428] [/opt/couchbase/lib/python/mc_bin_server.py|handle_read|325]) this error is the same even if I try some other host or port. I also tried many other python scripts that I found on forums and groups but all of them produced the same error. My primary development environment includes PHP & Perl on Debian linux box but I will take any solution that would just dump all the keys into plain text file. Thank you for any help!

    Hi, We're using XML Digital Signatures for signing and verifying our license keys. The signing works fine and has been running smoothly. The XML license file contains a few (plaintext) details about the license, along with a binary signature. We'd like to encode (I don't say encrypt) those plaintext details (license duration, user name, etc, etc.) so they're not immediately visible to prying eyes. Is there a standard (eg, base 64 or something else) that people use in this situation? It doesn't need to be secure or particularly clever, just enough to conceal the information in Notepad.     I have my menu button bringing up a Settings option, which brings up numerous ListPreferences such as weight and various sizes for glasses (it's a BAC calculator app). I'll pick one example... weight will work. Depending on how much you weigh it will affect your BAC. I have a int for Weight, set at 180. I would like someone to be able to go into the menu Settings, pick the "Weight" ListPreference, and choose between 100, 130, 150, 180, 210, 240, 270, and 300. I already have the numbers show up (all of the arrays have been created) and I can choose one, but it doesn't do anything because it's not linked up with the int Weight variable. How do I go about linking the information?

    I'm trying to update to 12.10 from a 12.04 machine. When I ran the code sudo do-release-upgrade -d in my terminal and verified my password it checked for a new upgrade. I was then returned with this: gpg: Good signature from "Ubuntu Archive Automatic Signing Key <[email protected]>" gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature! gpg: There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.` There of course is more but it looks like it may or may not be showing private information with it. What's causing this and how do I fix this.

    Hi! Just a very small question... I seem to run into too much complexity here: I have to realize an index-structure like {42, someString}. I tried: Object entry[][] = new Object[1][1]; ArrayList<Object> my_list = new ArrayList<Object>(); However that looks really strange. Isn't there a better much simpler solution to just store some Integer and a String? I need to perfrom search for the Strings and return the Integer... so I thought Collections and ArrayLists are good friends in the Java API.

    Hi, I don't understand the rational behind the decision of this part of Lua. Why does indexing start at 1? I have read(as many others did) this great paper. It seems to me a strange corner of a language that is very pleasant to learn and program. Don't get me wrong, Lua is just great but there has to be an explanation somewhere. Most of what I found(on the web) is just saying the index starts at 1. Full stop. It would be very interesting to read what its designers said about the subject. Note that I am "very" beginner in Lua, I hope I am not missing something obvious about tables.

Array ( 0 => Array { [Post] => Array ( [id] => 1 [title] => test post 1 ) [Tag] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [id] => 1 [name] => php ) [1] => Array ( [id] => 2 [name] => javascript ) [2] => Array ( [id] => 3 [name] => xml ) ) } But my output do not have Tags at all. Here is what I got. Array ( [0] => Array ( [Post] => Array ( [id] => 1 [title] => test post1 ) ) [1] => Array ( [Post] => Array ( [id] => 2 [title] => test post2 ) ) ) How do I get associated tags along with the post. I know I am missing something, but unable to figure out. Any help would be highly appreciated.

  • Convert a image to a monochrome byte array

    I am writing a library to interface C# with the EPL2 printer language. One feature I would like to try to implement is printing images, the specification doc says p1 = Width of graphic Width of graphic in bytes. Eight (8) dots = one (1) byte of data. p2 = Length of graphic Length of graphic in dots (or print lines) Data = Raw binary data without graphic file formatting. Data must be in bytes. Multiply the width in bytes (p1) by the number of print lines (p2) for the total amount of graphic data. The printer automatically calculates the exact size of the data block based upon this formula. I plan on my source image being a 1 bit per pixel bmp file, already scaled to size. I just don't know how to get it from that format in to a byte[] for me to send off to the printer. I tried ImageConverter.ConvertTo(Object, Type) it succeeds but the array it outputs is not the correct size and the documentation is very lacking on how the output is formatted. My current test code. Bitmap i = (Bitmap)Bitmap.FromFile("test.bmp"); ImageConverter ic = new ImageConverter(); byte[] b = (byte[])ic.ConvertTo(i, typeof(byte[])); Any help is greatly appreciated even if it is in a totally different direction.

    I know that they are used to store data, but I have a difficult time understanding exactly how to use them in a program. In addition, I found this site with a tetris clone tutorial (the actual tutorial is missing). It uses arrays, but I can't really make sense of how it works. Here's an example of the code - public int[, ,] TShape = new int[4, 4, 2] { {{1, 0}, {0, 1}, {1, 1}, {2, 1}}, {{1, 0}, {0, 1}, {1, 1}, {1, 2}}, {{0, 0}, {1, 0}, {2, 0}, {1, 1}}, {{0, 0}, {0, 1}, {1, 1}, {0, 2}}}; Could it be that I'm looking too hard into this, or perhaps there's something I'm not grasping about it?

    In C+ one can use iterators for writing to a sequence. Simplest example would be: vector<int> v; for (vector<int>::iterator it = v.begin(); it!=v.end(); ++it) { *it = 42; } I need something more complicated - keep iterator as a class member for a later use. But I don't know how to get this behavior from Java iterators. Are there writable iterators in Java at all? If not then what replaces them?
