• Ipad MPMovieplayerController video loads but automatically pauses when played

  Hello I am trying to get the MPMovieplayerController to work. I load a video everything goes wel i even see the first frame but then it automatically pauses, if i press play it pauses again. In the simulator it works perfectly but on the ipad device it gives the problem. I can even seek through the video and i see the frame i seeked to but nothing plays. What's happening is that the program crashes (long stack-trace below) upon clicking the SEND button. However, this is non-deterministic - sometimes it works immediately, sometimes after a long delay, and most often, it crashes.   Hi, I have a strange issue (at least for me :)) with the MySQL's locking facility. I have a table: Create Table: CREATE TABLE test ( id int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, PRIMARY KEY (id) ) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=13 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 With this data: +----+ | id | +----+ | 3 | | 4 | | 5 | | 6 | | 7 | | 8 | | 10 | | 11 | | 12 | +----+ Now I have 2 clients with these commands executed at the beginning: set autocommit=0; set session transaction isolation level serializable; begin; Now the most interesting part. The first client executes this query: (makes an intent to insert a row with id equal to 9) SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) Then the second client does the same: SELECT * from test where id = 9 FOR UPDATE; Empty set (0.00 sec) My question is: Why the second client does not block ? An exclusive gap lock should have been set by the first query because FOR UPDATE have been used and the second client should block. If I am wrong, could somebody tell me how to do it correctly ? • How to validate selects / inserts are hitting the right server with MySQL Master/Slave

  I've got a rails app using the master_slave_adapter plugin (http://github.com/mauricio/master_slave_adapter/tree/master) to send all selects to a slave, and all other statements to the master. Replication is setup using Mysql master / slave. I'm trying to validate that all the SQL statements are indeed going to the right place. Selects to the slave (db2), inserts to the master (db1) but I'm not sure how to do it.   I have existing instances running and I can connect to them fine. Even if I start a new instance from one of my saved ami's I can connect to it fine but any new public or community ami (I've tried 2 offical Ubuntu ami's and 1 Fedora quickstart ami) I get permission denied (publickey). The permissions are good on my key file. I've also tried creating a new keyfile. My ec2 firewall rules are good, I've also tried creating a new group.   One of my users is reporting a crash on his device, an iPhone 3GS. Other devices of the same type are not reporting similar behavior. • SugarCRM SOAP set_relationship between Contacts and Prospect lists bug

  Hey! I am trying to create a relationship between a Prospect List (target list) and a Contact. I create a new contact and get the id of a prospect list all using classes I created which are just wrappers for the soap api calls sugar provides. But the code boils down to this soap call: $this->_sugarsoap->client->__soapCall('set_relationship', array($this->getSessionid(),$relationship)); $this-getSessionid() Is the session Id and $relationship is an array which holds this: array 0 => string 'ProspectLists' (length=13) 1 => string '180ab1f5-cf7e-d386-50f8-4c18a790e016' (length=36) 2 => string 'Contacts' (length=8) 3 => string '76323942-8cbb-3224-f18a-4c19efa80a1b' (length=36) After I try this I always get this error: (I do a var_dump of the returned values of the soap call) object(stdClass)[5] public 'number' => string '20' (length=2) public 'name' => string 'Module Does Not Exist' (length=21) public 'description' => string 'This module is not available on this server' (length=43) This seems like a sugarcrm bug because I do have the contacts module and also the prospect lists module. I know this for a fact because I add a contact via the soap call and also retrieve the id of a prospect list via the soap call. I found this thread in the sugar forums and I did try the code given there but I still got the same error. Anyone have a solution for this? I really need to associate a contact to a prospect list (target list) via a soap call. I am using SugarCRM 5.5.0 (I also tried with sugarcrm 5.5.2 and got the same error) on ubuntu server using mysql. Thanks!

• How can I debug why this click handler never fires?

  I am going to be excrutiatingly detailed here. I am using Firefox 3.6.3 on Max OSX with Firebug 1.5.3. I have two versions of a project, one which works and one with a bug. One I downloaded and one I typed by hand. Take a guess which one doesn't work. They should be the same except that mine uses a newer version of jQuery and the files are named differently. jQuery version is not the issue. I made mine use the older jquery and I made the working one use the newer jquery. Either way, mine still broke and the downloaded one still works. I've busted my eyes trying to see how these projects are different. The only thing I don't want to do is copy the working code to the busted code because I need to be able to figure this stuff out when it is my own unique code causing similar issues. There are no errors that I can see in Firebug in my code, in fact, 2/3 of it works just fine. just the second button does nothing. So I wanted to step through. These are always eyeball errors and I really suck at seeing them. I put it on a public server. http://colleenweb.com/jqtests/ex71.html And I want to debug ex71.js If you firebug the working one and set a break point at line 13 in ex71.js the variable json has the expected values when you click on the second button. But If you firebug this one, it never gets there. I've been over the html and all the names of everything seem to match up. I also wonder why the buttons aren't right justified but that's a css thing. Please tell me what I'm missing, and more importantly, what tool/technique I could use to find these types of bugs.
