  I'm making a 2D game engine called Clixel over on GitHub. The problem I have relates to two classes, ClxMouse and ClxButton. In it I have a mouse class - the code for that can be viewed here. } virtual public void onRightReleased() { } virtual public void onMiddleReleased() { } } } The issue I have is that I have all these have event styled methods, especially in ClxButton with all the onLeftClick, onRightClick, etc, etc. Is there a better way for me to handle these events to be a lot more easier for a programmer to use? I was looking at normal events on some other sites, (I'd post them but I need more rep.) and didn't really see a good way to implement delegate events into my framework. I'm not really sure how these events work, could someone possibly lay out how these events are processed for me? TL:DR * Is there a better way to handle events like this? * Are events a viable solution to this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

  Trying to use use SharpSVN in an ASP.NET app. So far, it's been nothing but trouble. First, I kept getting permission errors on "lock" files (that don't exist), even though NETWORK SERVICE has full permissions on the directories. Finally in frustration I just granted Everyone full control. • Where do I find scripts generated by SharePoint MCMS Migration Profiles

  I am attempting to migrate data from an Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 instance into a new Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server (MOSS) 2007 installation using the Manage Microsoft Content Management Server Migration Profiles tool in the Operations space of MOSS Central Administration. When analyzing the profile, I receive 4 warnings, all of which may be safely ignored, but when I actually execute the migration profile, I get the same warnings and an additional error with a description of: Line 6: Incorrect syntax near ';'. I have seen this error numerous times when mucking about in SQL Server and recognize it as a Transact SQL error message, but can't find the actual SQL statement that is being executed so that I may determine the source of the error. EDIT: After enabling verbose logging on the MCMS 2002 Migration category, and poring through the Unified Logging Service (ULS) logs, I received a more complete stack trace at the point of the error, and a couple more anomalies listed below. As with all the skipped test names and SQL table names from the warnings, the major search engines are unable (with the exception of LayoutProperty) to find any reference to these objects or tests. • Safely delete a TFS branch project

  I'm currently reorganising our TFS source control for a very large set of solutions, and I've done this successfully so far. I have a problem at the moment where I need to delete a legacy "Release Branch" TFS project that was branched for the old structure, and is no-longer required since I now host a release branch within the new structure. This is an example of how the source control now looks after moving everything: $/Source Project /Trunk /[Projects] /Release /[Projects] $/Release Branch Project /[Projects] /[Other legacy stuff] So far I've found information that says: tf delete /lock:checkout /recursive TestMain to delete a branch. TfsDeleteProject to delete a project tf delete seems to be only relevant when I need to delete a branch that is within the same project as the trunk, and TfsDeleteProject doesn't seem like it will delete the branch association from the source project (I hope I'm wrong, see below). Can someone tell me if the above will work, and in what order I should perform them in, to successfully delete the TFS $/Release Branch Project while also deleting the branch association (from right-click $/Source Project - Properties - Branches)?

  I'm working on a web application that uses ASP.NET 3.5 and C#. Structurally, I have a master page with a menu control on it. The control serves as my navigation, and it gets its items from a SiteMapDataSource control and a corresponding Web.sitemap file. The problem is that some styles do not render properly when you specify the CssClass property. More specifically, the selected and hover styles don't respond to css styles. I'm aware I might be able to programmically determine the current page and select the corresponding menu item manually so it receives the proper style class, but before I resort to hacking C# and Javascript together to fix this functionality, I'm open to ideas.   I'm writing an application that takes HTML pages and parses them to display on the screen. Specifically, this application pulls HTML from a message board and lists posts made by users. The problem is that a lot of the content in posts are pictures in <img> tags, so I need to write a Html.ImageGetter to handle the downloading of the images. My textView.setText() method will look like this: myTextView.setText(Html.fromHtml(myText, new ImageGetter() { @Override public Drawable getDrawable(String source) { Drawable d; // Need to async download image here return d; } }, null)); Doing this synchronously is trivial, but is there a suggested way to do this asynchronously so that it doesn't lock up my UI thread? I would also like to eventually build in caching of these images, but I imagine that would be pretty simple once the async downloading was there.

• Problems in "Save as PDF" plugin with Arabic numbers

  I use the "Save as PDF" plugin with Word 2007 to generate a PDF document from a DOCX document. It works great except that the Arabic numbers in the Word file have been converted to English numbers in the PDF document. Kindly find two links containing two screen shots explaining the problem. The first image is the generated PDF file with the English numbers highlighted. The second image is the original word file with the Arabic numbers highlighted. Update: Thanks very much Isaac, ChrisF and Wil. I changed the Numeral at word to Context and confirmed that all the numbers are Arabic at the Word file. I still have the problem as the PDF file still have English numbers. (Note: The Arabic numbers called Hindi numbers). I also tried changing the font to Tahoma with no hope.

• FontExplorer X + Dropbox

  I'm looking to sync my fonts between my Macbook and iMac using a combination of FontExplorer X and Dropbox. I've seen a few blog posts that confirm that it is possible by using a symbolic link on the database folder. But for some reason I can't seem to find that folder (I'm thinking it may have been changed/moved in the newer releases of FEX?) It in this line [Application Support/Linotype/Font Explorer/fontexplorer x.fexdb] But the Linotype no longer exists in Application Support. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

• TTY Resolution in Xubuntu 9.10

  I've exhausted my ability to search through Google for this, so I'm giving it a go here. What I'm trying to do is increase the resolution (or decrease the font size) in the TTY terminals. Xubuntu 9.10 uses GRUB2, and everywhere I can find directs me to edit the /etc/default/grub File in order to add vga=XXX to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX value, and this simply doesn't work. Out of endless fiddling with the file, nothing ever seems to change. On my Netbook running an earlier version, I had success with this command dpkg-reconfigure console-setup But once again it yields no change. Got any ideas?

  I'm using an TreeListView (a sub type of ObjectListView) in my current project. Each item in the list is given an icon, but the icon my vary depending on the state of the item. For example if the item is readonly I want to use an icon with a little lock symbol. When the items are first added to the TreeListView the icons are show correctly, yet later when the state of an item changes the icons are not updating. How do I force the control to regenerate all the icons?

• Are there alternatives to UltraWinGrid (for C#)?

  I've been using the Infragistics UltraWinGrid for a while in a C# project, and while it's very spiffy, it is sometimes a bit heavy to run (and editing it in Visual Studio can be hazardous). I'm looking for a lighter alternative. Looks (always a big plus with Infragistics) are not as important as functionality. Namely, I'm looking for a beefed up DataGridView which: has data binding (duh!) has lock control over editing allows for sub-tables on opening a row can have multiple headers to group columns together (say header 1 is composed of "Group A" and "Group B", and header 2 has various columns under each group) has sorting by column (and can sort numbers properly, even if it does not have a stock method at first) has filtering by column (perhaps the most demanding spec) à la UltraWinGrid/Excel (text field with a way to specify if the filter is equal, not equal, greater, lesser, starts with, ends with, etc). supports check box, text box or data bound list/combo box cells allows cells to be merged (not the control cells of course!) can have events bound to each row (say double click)

• Blackberry message text is all white on white cannot read - Outlook 2007

  Hi, I have a user that has Outlook 2007. When a certain person sends her an email from their blackberry the text is all white. If you copy all the text and place it in Word and change the font color you can see the email. The recipient is the only person that has the trouble with email from the blackberry device from this certain person. Everyone else can see the bb messages fine. Any ideas on what to check? I made sure the theme was set to none and that all fonts selected were installed (changed it to arial.) All other emails sent to the recipient are fine from everyone. The user that sends from the blackberry also has a PC. When he sends emails from the machine it looks fine for the troubled recipient. It is only when sending from the bb to that certain person that we get the white on white "invisible" text. Thank you for any help.

  I'm trying to setup a server-client interraction: Server gets a string from client Server returns data to client I got this working with socket.send and socket.recv, but was wondering how to get it working with files through socket.makefile. I've got most of the pieces working, but don't know how to force each of the pieces to read at the appropriate time. So what it looks like is happening is that both the client and server are reading on the socket at the same time. Any ideas on how to let the server complete the original read before the client starts waiting for its information? Below are the core pieces that reproduce the read lock.
