• highlight parent window text when spell checking from child window

  I'm working on a simple spell checking app for a lecture that I'm giving. I've got the basic spell checking code working just fine using a child form and NHunspell - great lib, by the way. However, I'd like for the parent textbox to show the highlighted text for reference, and while I'm setting the SelectedText properties accordingly, the text is not highlighted in the parent. Canceling the child window and the parent text is highlighted. Anybody know how I can do this?

• JMeter - successfull HTTPS recording?

  Greetings, I'm utilizing Jmeter 2.3, which now supports "attempt HTTPS spoofing" under the Proxy Server element. I've tried on several different servers, and have had no success. Has anyone been able to successfully record from an HTTPS source with this setting? Or barring successfully recording, can anyone share a work-around? When available, I simply have HTTPS turned off at the server level, but this is not always feasible. THoughts?

  Whenever I am adding New TableLayoutPanel programmatically in a Panel by setting DockStyle.Top, the last added TableLayoutPanel goes at the top most position of the Panel and the TableLayoutPanel added first comes down. Example: If I add like 1 2 3 4 5 It adds as 5 4 3 2 1 Please help me to fix the problem. The TableLayoutPanels should maintain the order as I am adding. Thanx.

I now want some way to redirects you to the correct url for hg repos Eg myserver/svn/MecurialRepo = myserver/hg/MercurialRepo Or the correct hg script is run, or somehow disable the Mecurial repos from not displaying under the svn url. I have tried using the RewriteRule in the conf file, seems like something is ignoring the it. Thanks

  With memcache, when you exceed the available ram, it automatically drops the oldest records off the end of the stack.. Is there a way to do this with redis? I'm trying to find ways to avoid running in to a write error (when there's no more available ram), other than setting a timeout. The only reason the timeout isn't useful, it because it doesn't guaranty the ability to write.

• Best Way to Include Debug Code?

  I am programming Android applications, and the best way here may or may not be the same as Java in general. I simply want to be able to set a debug flag that will only execute certain portions of code when it's set to true––equiv to C++ setting a preprocessor #define DEBUG and using #ifdef DEBUG. Is there an accepted or best way to accomplish this in Java? Right now I'm just going to set a variable in my Application object, but I don't imagine this is the best way.

• Cross-Domain iframe communication

  I have an iframe being created on a page, and the page's domain is being explicitly set to 'xyz.com' but the iframe's domain is defaulting to 'dev.xyz.com', which is the actual domain i'm developing for. The problem is, when I try to access that iframe via iframe.contentWindow.document, it fails due to the difference in domain. I've tried setting the iframe's src to a file with document.domain = 'xyz.com' but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick... Any ideas?

  Hi, I am doing this: @person.attributes = params[:person] Can anyone give me a clue as to why doing an attributes= would cause a bunch of SQL to show in my logs? I see a couple of SELECT and even an UPDATE. I swear I am not doing a "save" -- so I have no idea why setting attributes would trigger queries. Is there a before_ of after_ filter I am missing?   Hi, The default patch file viewer is messy (ie. no side by side diff view etc). I tried setting the path of beyondCompare exe in "Settings-Unified Diff Viewer-custom", but beyond compare also behaves same as default diff tool. Is there a way to atleast allow side by side diff in patch files ? If so, what is the method ? My aim is to allow emailing of changes so that they can be reviewed before I commit them :) Mishal

  I'm coding a website with: background-color:#070707; That color should be a very dark gray, just the way I see it in photoshop. Now when I launch this in my browser (the background-color is set on the body using CSS, so it's not an exported image), the color is darker than in Photoshop. I know there can be differences when exporting images due to color profiling, but when setting the color code, how can this be different from photoshop? Thanks a lot for helping

  Since most widgets have a standard method of setting a listener, setOnXXXListener(), just wondering why there is no setDateChangedListener() method for DatePicker?
